VIRGINIA VOTERS APPROVE DEMOCRAT REDISTRICTING PLAN

The ballot measure lets lawmakers bypass a bipartisan commission and redraw congressional districts to favor Democrats 10-1 through the end of the decade.

The new map leaves just one solidly Republican district out of 11 in the state. Currently, the state is split almost evenly, with 6 Dem and 5 GOP Representatives.

This change gives Democrats a shot at gaining up to four U.S. House seats in the midterms. .....
