Klaxon alert! A nova has been discovered from Japan by Yuji Nakamura, in the constellation of Cassiopeia, which is circumpolar from the UK (i.e. it never sets). Latest observation puts it at magnitude 7.8, which is visible with binoculars, and it may still be brightening.
