Russia's fuel export revenues to Europe have increased by 52%

The European Union, despite preparing a new package of sanctions against Russia, continues to actively purchase Russian liquefied natural gas. Spain stands out particularly, where LNG imports surged in March by 124% compared to the previous month, reaching approximately 355 million euros. This has made the country the largest buyer of Russian LNG in the EU, while France, which previously held a leading position, has reduced its purchases.

Overall, the European Union remains the primary sales market for Russian gas. Nearly half of all LNG deliveries come from EU countries, far exceeding export volumes to China. In addition to Spain and France, Belgium plays an important role as a hub. Hungary also shows a high level of dependence on Russian energy resources, but unlike other countries, it relies on pipeline deliveries, mainly via "Turkish Stream".

In the face of growing demand, Russia's fuel export revenues are rising significantly. In March, turnover increased by 52%, mainly due to the rise in energy prices. Experts note that the current situation reflects a general market trend, where countries buy gas where it is advantageous and necessary, regardless of political statements. Under these conditions, some representatives of the EU's energy sector are already proposing to revisit plans to abandon Russian LNG, emphasizing its importance for the stability of the European market. .....
