WOW 🚨 Democrat Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger made 20 amendments to the public-sector collective bargaining bill
The changes were so bad, and will cause so much public blowback SHE MADE AN AMENDMENT TO MAKE IT EFFECTIVE WHEN SHE LEAVES OFFICE
- Her changes will add massive costs to localities
- Shift the full burden to local taxpayers via property tax increases and services cuts
- Weaker protections for workers. Rights for school workers and local employees can be easily stripped
- The 2030 effective date means the most disruptive impacts (negotiations, higher costs, possible strikes or arbitration fights) would hit after Spanberger leaves office
Even some Virginia Democrats are breaking ranks and speaking out about this
