Economics Senator Franziska Giffey underlined how catastrophic the attack has been.

The leftist "Volcano Group," already known for high-profile attacks on energy infrastructure, destroyed five high-powered voltage lines. Due to the freezing weather, it is not possible to fix these lines in normal settings.
