Today's fires which have spread across America in the wake of George Floyd's murder at the knee of Minnesota police officer Derick Chauvin has presented America with the chance to do some serious soul-searching. It has also presented certain Deep State opportunists, color revolutionaries and anarchism-financing billionaires a chance to unleash what some are calling an "America's Maidan" in the hopes of accomplishing what four years of Russiagate failed to do.

The fact that these riots have occurred at a moment when America finds itself seriously reviving the spirit of JFK's space vision is an irony that in many ways parallels the earlier "pregnant moment" of 1968. (In case you are not aware, NASA has officially revived manned space launches on May 28 for the first time since Obama killed the Saturn rocket program in 2011, establishing a new program to return to the Moon before going to Mars under the Artemis Program established in 2017. The Artemis Accords of May 15 lay out the framework for international cooperation in space closely dovetailing similar commitments made by Russia and China).

Comment: It didn't have to be this way, and it doesn't have to be this way.

Alas, here we are.

Only one thing is going to get 'us' out of this: love.

But it is down to each to choose.

The environment - that is, the planet's climate and the even the near-Earth cosmic environment - will be helping us choose in the coming months and years.

Watch as weather becomes significantly more extreme, in reflection of the increasing suffering brought on by terror and confusion of the species as a whole. There may also be an astronomical surprise or two to drive home the point to people.

As RFK learned,

"He who learns must suffer, and, even in our sleep, pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God." (Aeschylus)

Perhaps then, united in suffering, people will stop hating, fighting, and learn to truly love one another.

For anyone willing to look, there are so many facts that tell the true story, and it goes something like this:

Knowing what we know today about COVID-19's Infection Fatality Rate, asymmetric impact by age and medical condition, non-transmissibility by asymptomatic people and in outdoor settings, near-zero fatality rate for children, and the basic understanding of viruses through Farr's law, locking down society was a bone-headed policy decision so devastating to society that historians may judge it as the all-time worst decision ever made. Worse, as these clear facts have become available, many policy-makers haven't shifted their positions, despite the fact that every hour under any stage of lockdown has a domino-effect of devastation to society. Meanwhile, the media — with a few notable exceptions — is oddly silent on all the good news. Luckily, an unexpected group of heroes across the political landscape — many of them doctors and scientists — have emerged to tell the truth, despite facing extreme criticism and censorship from an angry mob desperate to continue fighting an imaginary war.

My goal is to engage in known facts. You, the reader, can decide if all of these facts, when you put them together, equate to the story above.

Fact #1: The Infection Fatality Rate for COVID-19 is somewhere between 0.07-0.20%, in line with seasonal flu

The Infection fatality Rate math of ANY new virus ALWAYS declines over time as more data becomes available, as any virologist could tell you. In the early days of COVID-19 where we only had data from China, there was a fear that the IFR could be as high as 3.4%, which would indeed be cataclysmic. On April 17th, the first study was published from Stanford researchers that should have ended all lockdowns immediately, as the scientists reported that their research "implies that the infection is much more widespread than indicated by the number of confirmed cases" and pegged the IFR between 0.12-0.2%. The researchers also speculated that the final IFR, as more data emerged, would likely "be lower." For context, seasonal flu has an IFR of 0.1%. Smallpox? 30%.

Governments And WHO Changed Covid-19 Policy Based on Suspect Data From Tiny US Company

Comment: The outfit that somehow got the ears of the WHO and every major world nation, appears to have been a dodgy front operation for something else, and was used to destroy the credibility of hydroxychloroquine as an effective treatment for covid-19. In short, it seems someone with a lot of influence really wanted to prevent the widespread acceptance of an effective treatment for Covid-19 (looking at you, Big Pharma).

Dr. Mandeep Mehra, the lead co-author of the dodgy study, is a director at Brigham & Women's Hospital, which is credited with providing funding. Dr. Mehra and The Lancet failed to disclose that Brigham Hospital has a partnership with Gilead and is currently conducting TWO trials testing the drug Remdesivir, the prime competitor of hydroxychloroquine for the treatment of COVID-19, the focus of the study.

A tiny US company, Surgisphere, is behind flawed data which led to governments and the world to dismiss an effective treatment for Coronavirus

Surgisphere, whose employees appear to include a sci-fi writer and adult content model, provided database behind Lancet and New England Journal of Medicine hydroxychloroquine studies

The World Health Organization and a number of national governments have changed their Covid-19 policies and treatments on the basis of flawed data from a little-known US healthcare analytics company, also calling into question the integrity of key studies published in some of the world's most prestigious medical journals.

A Guardian investigation can reveal the US-based company Surgisphere, whose handful of employees appear to include a science fiction writer and an adult-content model, has provided data for multiple studies on Covid-19 co-authored by its chief executive, but has so far failed to adequately explain its data or methodology.

Data it claims to have legitimately obtained from more than a thousand hospitals worldwide formed the basis of scientific articles that have led to changes in Covid-19 treatment policies in Latin American countries. It was also behind a decision by the WHO and research institutes around the world to halt trials of the controversial drug hydroxychloroquine. On Wednesday, the WHO announced those trials would now resume.

It seems that much of the narrative about the coronavirus has stuck with us since the beginning, but lately many mainstream media channels, politicians and governing bodies are putting out information that actually seems... truthful?

Admitting the virus is no more deadly than the flu, saying there's no evidence it can be spread from surfaces (like your groceries), revealing the unliklihood of anyone becoming reinfected and even (gasp!) that the lockdowns did NOT work to slow the virus transmission. It's almost as if the mainstream media have been reading Sott.net!

The nation went up in flames this weekend. No one in charge stood up to save America. Our leaders dithered. They cowered. They openly sided with the destroyers. In many cases, they egged them on.

Later, they will deny doing any of this. They are denying it now. But you know the truth because you saw it happen.

This is how nations collapse. When no one in authority keeps the order, and when someone in our professional class encourage violence, American citizens are forced to defend themselves. They have no choice. No one else is going to defend them -- they know that now.

It's possible that more people will be hurt in coming days -- that would be a tragedy. But in an environment like this, more violence could very well lead to a cascade of new tragedies, to something far bigger and more destructive than anything we have seen so far.

So, this isn't over. It might simply be the beginning. We pray it isn't.

It's hard to think clearly about anything that's going on right now. The chaos, the destruction, the relentless lying from above -- it's all too much. Americans are bewildered, and they are afraid. But most of all, they are filled with rage, angrier than they have ever been.

The worst people in our society have taken control. They did nothing to build this country. Now, they are tearing it down. They are rushing us toward mass suicide.

In recent days a series of leaks across the globe have further shown the "official line" on coronavirus does not hold water

The science of the coronavirus is not disputed. It is well documented and openly admitted:

Most people won't get the virus.
Most of the people who get it won't display symptoms.
Most of the people who display symptoms will only be mildly sick.
Most of the people with severe symptoms will never be critically ill.
And most of the people who get critically ill will survive.

This is borne out by the numerous serological studies which show, again and again, that the infection fatality ratio is on par with flu.

Comment: A plausible reason for why things are leaking out now is that the virus just didn't do what they said it would do, so they're gradually 're-adjusting to reality'.

For us, the question remaining is the one we were asking at the beginning: why did they push unprecedented lockdown measures on a third of the global population when they knew even then that the virus was nothing unusual (in terms of its mortality rate anyway)?

It was patently obvious - observing its course in Hubei, China, in January - that it was NOT a 'mass killer', yet Western propaganda instruments went into overdrive exaggerating the outbreak there in preparation for locking down the West.

Why? For power's sake? If so, it was a stupid maneuver on a number of counts, not least because it has 'revealed the man behind the curtain' - not categorically; we don't know who exactly made the orders, but certainly no one can now reasonably argue that the concept of a centralized world govt is not in place.

Before Orwell's masterpiece novel, 1984, about a dystopian society and what politically motivated and propaganda-induced groupthink looked and sounded like, another Englishman by the name of Edwin Abbott Abbott wrote a semi-satirical, allegorical sci-fi novella called Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions, in 1884. In his story, Abbott ingeniously uses flat geometric shapes to represent different strata of society in his contemporary experience of Victorian England. Taking aim at his era's biases, prejudices and social mores, Abbott satirizes the thought processes and modes of oppression towards those who would begin to consider other, higher, levels of reality, and allegorizes the reception of divine inspiration using a mathematical conceit that may have more reality to it than perhaps even Abbott supposed.

On this week's MindMatters we discuss Flatland in all its cosmological glory. Like a dimensionally flattened, but fleshed-out, Plato's cave, we delve into the book's significance as a profound allegory, its many intricately bound insights, and what Edwin Abbott was entertainingly imploring us to think about and consider.
