SOTT Focus: NewsReal: What's the REAL Reason For West-Russia War Over Ukraine?

newsreal twitter musk

They say it's for protecting Ukraine from Russian invasion, and that even if Putin 'gets what he wants' from there, 'standing up for Ukraine' is 'just the right thing to do'.

Obviously, this reason is not credible, coming as it does from people who destroyed Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and Syria. There are always REAL reasons - usually Big Money ones - behind the propaganda narratives.

So, in Ukraine's case, what is it that impels NATO countries to send their entire military arsenals to Ukraine, plunge their economies into economic despair and energy blackouts, and risk permanently upending global stability? In the first hour of this NewsReal, Joe and Niall come up with a 'big picture answer'.

The second hour covers the upcoming US Mid-Term Elections (will Trump-backed candidates win 'bigly', or will the Democratic Party pull off another 'miraculous' victory?), and the bizarre incident involving the Speaker of the House's elderly husband, a hammer, and a strange friend - who the media suggests was a pro-Trump right-winger who entered the Pelosis' home with assassination on his mind.

Right...

Graphene oxide? Nanobots?

What is in the Pfizer vaccines? Recently, Dr David Nixon, a Brisbane GP, decided to find out, putting droplets of vaccine and the blood of vaccinated patients under a dark-field microscope.

That's a more radical decision than it might sound. According to Sasha Latypova, a scientist with 25 years of experience in clinical trials for pharmaceutical companies, the contract between Pfizer and the US government prohibits independent researchers from studying the vaccines. They claim it would 'divert' these precious resources away from their intended use fulfilling an 'urgent' need.

Is that true in Australia? Who knows? All the Commonwealth Department of Health has said about its contract with Pfizer is that it is commercial-in-confidence.

SOTT Focus: MindMatters: Truth-Killing Cancel Culture Has Always Existed to Bolster the Status Quo

cancel culture
The cancel culture phenomenon has reared its rancorous and destructive head to such a degree that many holding non-mainstream points of view are made to think twice about sharing them in public. For cancel culture doesn't merely seek to respond to the differing perspectives with counterarguments in honest debate. It seeks to stifle the message completely and even, in the worst cases, annihilate the speaker himself.

While we're aware of how this pathological and ideological weaponization of rhetoric exists in contemporary times, the tools or modus operandi of cancel culture have actually been around for a good long time - especially when someone's particular message challenges conventional wisdom - or, in more meaningful cases, questions the higher truths of the reality in which we're immersed.

Join us this week on MindMatters as we discuss the drives some people have to become cancel culturists, what forces may be behind it, and the rhetorical patterns that always seem to be on the misguided side of an argument.

SOTT Focus: The Crusades: Germany's Obedience to America's 'Papal Primacy'

Germany has become an economic satellite of America's New Cold War with Russia, China and the rest of Eurasia. Germany and other NATO countries have been told to impose trade and investment sanctions upon themselves that will outlast today's proxy war in Ukraine. U.S. President Biden and his State Department spokesmen have explained that Ukraine is just the opening arena in a much broader dynamic that is splitting the world into two opposing sets of economic alliances. This global fracture promises to be a ten- or twenty-year struggle to determine whether the world economy will be a unipolar U.S.-centered dollarized economy, or a multipolar, multi-currency world centered on the Eurasian heartland with mixed public/private economies.

President Biden has characterized this split as being between democracies and autocracies. The terminology is typical Orwellian double-speak. By "democracies" he means the U.S. and allied Western financial oligarchies. Their aim is to shift economic planning out of the hands of elected governments to Wall Street and other financial centers under U.S. control. U.S. diplomats use the International Monetary Fund and World Bank to demand privatization of the world's infrastructure and dependency on U.S. technology, oil and food exports.

SOTT Focus: Truth Cops: Leaked Documents Outline US Govt Plans to 'Police Disinformation'

The Department of Homeland Security is quietly broadening its efforts to curb speech it considers dangerous, an investigation by The Intercept has found. Years of internal DHS memos, emails, and documents — obtained via leaks and an ongoing lawsuit, as well as public documents — illustrate an expansive effort by the agency to influence tech platforms.

The work, much of which remains unknown to the American public, came into clearer view earlier this year when DHS announced a new "Disinformation Governance Board": a panel designed to police misinformation (false information spread unintentionally), disinformation (false information spread intentionally), and malinformation (factual information shared, typically out of context, with harmful intent) that allegedly threatens U.S. interests. While the board was widely ridiculed, immediately scaled back, and then shut down within a few months, other initiatives are underway as DHS pivots to monitoring social media now that its original mandate — the war on terror — has been wound down.

Comment: From the Post Millennial:
After the release of a damning report from The Intercept on Monday that showed unequivocally that the Department of Homeland Security had been instructing big tech companies how to moderate content on their platform, #DHSLeaks began trending on Twitter, and quickly moved up the charts to be at number 5 on Twitter's trending charts in the US.

Prior to 2020, it was reported that DHS met with Twitter, Facebook, Wikipedia, and other platforms in order to coordinate "content moderation" operations. These meetings were part of an ongoing initiative that saw collusion and collaboration between DHS and big tech to determine how "misinformation" would be dealt with on those platforms.

SOTT Focus: War and Regrets in Ukraine

Of the Vietnam War, Henry Kissinger, former national security advisor and secretary of State under Presidents Nixon and Ford, said, "We should never have been there." Before long, Americans, even the politicians inside the Beltway, will reach the same conclusion about Washington's Ukrainian proxy war against Russia.

No one in the White House, the Senate, or the House consciously set out to turn the proxy Ukrainian war with Moscow into a contest of "competitive societal collapse" between Russia and NATO. But here we are. No one imagined that the Biden administration and the bipartisan war party would drive Americans and Europeans into a political, military, and economic valley of death, from which there is no easy escape. Yet that is precisely what is happening.

For the moment, Washington remains blind to these developments. Whether in print, radio, television, or online, the narrative is clear: despite horrific losses — at least 400,000 Ukrainian battlefield casualties including 100,000 soldiers killed in action — Ukrainian forces are winning. Moreover, the narrative says, America's financial and economic dominance will ultimately overwhelm the deceptively weak Russian economy.

SOTT Focus: NewsReal: Dirty Nuke False-Flag? US Military on Stand-by to Fight Russian Troops in Event of 'Atrocity'

Russia's Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu told his French counterpart in a telephone call today, Sunday 23 October, that Moscow was concerned Ukraine could use a "dirty bomb," the Russian defense ministry reported, which would lead to "further, uncontrolled escalation" in the war.

In fact, Shoigu has since gone on to call up a half-dozen world leaders with the same warning.

Coupled with increased US military presence on Ukraine's Romanian and Polish borders, and the targeting of a major dam with American HIMARS that could flood a swathe of southern Ukraine and kill thousands of civiliams, is an atrocity looming?

Together with the presenter, Javier Rodríguez Carrasco, and the founder of Izquierda Unida and former member of the Spanish Congress of Deputies, Ángeles Maestro, they delved into the investigation opened and revealed by a US media outlet that has been linked to Ursula Von der Leyen, and which is at the origin of the creation of a Special Committee to find out the details of the contracts signed with Albert Bourla, executive director of the pharmaceutical company.

SOTT Focus: NewsReal: Nuclear Armageddon?! Nah, But Likely Expansion of War Beyond Ukraine

belarus s-400 newsreal
There are increasing signs that the war in Ukraine may expand beyond that country (and newly-acquired Russian territory): the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines, the terror-bombing of the Kerch-Crimea bridge, the retaliatory Russian airstrikes against Ukrainian energy infrastructure, the ongoing delivery of NATO weapons to Ukraine, the fearmongering over nuclear Armageddon, and now the build-up of Russian forces in Belarus.

With the caveat of course, thanks to US government wordplay in late 2021, that the definition of 'imminent' is more fluid these days, fighting between NATO and Russian forces could soon be taking place in Belarus (and/or possibly from Belarus into 'NATO proper'!).

This week on NewsReal, Joe and Niall lay out an alternative direction to US-Russia escalation that doesn't involve mushroom clouds, but which nonetheless risks bringing on more global socio-economic upheaval...

*** CORRECTION ***

At 12:30 we discuss the "regional grouping" of Belarusian and Russian forces inside Belarus this week, citing an RT report we erroneously read as saying "one hundred thousand" Russian troops had linked up with 70,000 Belarusian troops. In fact, the report quoted Belarus president Lukashenko as saying that "more than one thousand [1,000] Russian soldiers" would participate.

Since then, Western media, again citing the Belarus government, reports that the Russian military contingent in Belarus will be 9,000-strong.
