Project Veritas released the first video of its COVID vaccine investigative series today featuring an interview with U.S. Health and Human Services [HHS] insider, Jodi O'Malley, who works as a Registered Nurse at the local Indian Medical Center.

How have previously normal people become so eager to deal out death in judgment?

A subject in the famous Milgram experiment, administering electric shocks just because he’s told to.
A few weeks ago, three friends on Facebook told me that they wished for my death.

One of them I didn't really know. He freaked out when I calmly suggested there were viable treatment options for those with Covid. He responded: "Stay out of my life!! I hope you get Covid and die!"

The other two friends were people I knew in college 45 years ago, one was my freshman year roommate, and the other guy introduced me to my first wife. He suggested that I prove Darwin's theory and perish from the virus, the other just basically said I deserved what was coming as a selfish unvaccinated science-denier.

I know Facebook is certainly not the ideal place for reasonable discourse. As a psychologist, however, I do find it an interesting sample of a certain extreme way of thinking and behaving.

Objective:Health - In The News: Covid Vaccines Don't Work

On this episode of Objective:Health we talk about the latest news in Covid vaccine shenanigans. A study has come out showing natural immunity is 13 times stronger than immunity conferred by the Pfizer shot (so why are they pushing everyone to get vaccinated?).

Another data analysis shows the US states that had the best uptake in vaccine compliance also had the greatest numbers of new cases. But that's probably just a coincidence.

And a controversial article from Children's Health Defense talks about a study that showed fully vaccinated healthcare workers carry 251 times the viral load compared to the pre-vaccination era of 2020. While the study's authors say this is a comparison between different variants and can't be said to be because of the vaccines, at the very least this shows that the vaccines aren't working.

The average life expectancy in Australia is 82.8.

The overall case fatality rate (CFR) for Covid in Australia is approximately1.6% (1053 out of 63,604) (as at 7 September 2021). This is very similar to the CFR in other developed countries including the USA, UK, France and Spain.

Objective:Health - ‌The Funny Business Around the FDA Approval of the Pfizer Vaccine

On August 23, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the US approved the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine, the fastest approval in the agency's history. This means the shot is no longer only in use under the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) and opens the door for vaccine mandates by employers, universities and the military, and gives doctors flexibility in using vaccinations for "off-label use," like giving booster shots. But the approval has been far from straight forward.

Firstly, the FDA did not allow public discussion or hold a formal advisory committee meeting to discuss the data, despite previously saying they were "committed" to doing so. They simply said, in a statement to The BMJ, that the agency did not believe a meeting was necessary since they had already held numerous meetings themselves.

There is also a great deal of confusion about the product that has actually been approved. Approval was granted to the branded shot 'Comirnaty,' a product they say can be used "interchangeably" with the Pfizer-BioNtech shot. But the previous shot is still under EUA and is not FDA approved. On top of this, Pfizer says there are "insufficient stocks" of the newly licensed Comirnaty vaccine.

Language. We use it to speak, obtain information and enrich our minds. We're immersed in it every day and would find it nearly impossible to communicate and exist in the ways that we're used to without it. And yet the use of language - and all its varied and nuanced components - are very largely taken for granted by us until we take a step or two back to think about how language works, how incredibly complex it is, what many languages have in common, what makes language successful (or not), and what some research into the origins of language suggest about how little we truly know about them.

This week on MindMatters we are joined by Juliana Barembuem of Language with Chu, a polyglot and long-time student of language, who presents a number of 'outside of the box' perspectives on language; what do languages have in common with discoveries in biology? Is language a feature of intelligent design? How is the use of language abused and in service of ideas that actually confuse and misinform - to name just a few. One thing to realize is that the deeper we get into this discussion the more we see that these lines of inquiry are really just the beginning of this conversation.
