We also looked at the latest "global warming" data, and analysed the spectacular mental gymnastics that 'climate scientists' have been engaging in to explain the inexplicable. Speaking of the 'weather', we discussed the recent record-breaking flooding on every continent; 'haildrifts' up to 3 feet high being ploughed off streets in Tokyo, Spain, Istanbul and Mexico; and tornadoes touching down in the very unlikely locales of Norway, Sweden, Greece and Algeria.
From the stark increase in African immigrants risking horrific conditions (and their lives) on 'salvation seeking' boat rides to Italy that heralds an 'immigration crisis' for Europe, to the ongoing pedophilia in 'high places' scandal in the UK, the latest on the situation in Ukraine and the hard data linking fracking to earthquakes in the USA, we discussed all this and more on this week's Sott Talk Radio show!

The sixth installment in our new monthly series, the following video compiles footage of 'signs of the times' from around the world during June 2014 - 'earth changes', extreme weather and planetary upheaval.
While billions have been glued to TV screens for the soccer World Cup this past month, Nature put on a show that saw major flooding on every continent, not least in Brazil where 250 people were killed by flash-flooding and landslides, and a huge sinkhole swallowed streets just miles from one of the host nation's venues. Mid-18th century flood-level records were broken in the U.S. and E.U. There were also a LOT of tornadoes and waterspouts in places that don't normally see them.
The month began and ended with dramatic fireball appearances in the UK. The first one was really weird: a fireball turning circles in the sky! While many are attributing 'intelligence' to this burning object, accounts from previous eras of environmental and social upheaval describe such 'fire in the sky', whose gravity-defying behavior can be explained via plasma physics.
Then there were the hailstorms. 'Baseball-sized hail' used to mean something rare and freakish. Now it's positively common! Last month they were sweeping away piles of hail with diggers in Sao Paulo; this month they did likewise in eastern Spain, Tokyo and Turkey. The damage caused runs into billions of dollars. Iowa's corn crop was savaged, farmers in Turkey are devastated, and this year's fruit crop in Valencia, Spain, was all but wiped out.
Spectacular electrical storms in summertime aren't unusual, but snowfall in regions adjacent to territory scorched by wildfires are: despite earlier heatwaves, snow returned to much of Scandinavia, the Rockies and Western Canada. Speaking of wildfires, so far this year Russia has seen twice the number of wildfires reported last year, while in the U.S. they have already surpassed the 2013 total.
Get ready for the Greatest Show on Earth!
About a month ago, a Fatah-Hamas unity government was sworn in. Netanyahu warned/threatened the whole world not to recognize it because, he claimed, it 'opened the door to terrorism'. He also attempted to threaten Fatah by claiming it would be responsible for any 'rocket attacks' from Gaza into Israel. The real reason for Israeli aversion to a united Palestinian government however is that Israel has worked very hard over the past 40 years to prevent any form of Palestinian unity. A united Palestinian front committed to achieving Palestinian rights through peaceful processes would make it much more difficult for the Israelis to justify their Apartheid state built on the decades-long occupation of Palestinian land by force, not to mention the regular murder of Palestinian civilians by the Israeli military.
The militarization of police forces - particularly since 9/11, the steady erosion of civil rights via draconian laws, and an atmosphere of hysteria generated by the 'War on Terror' have all combined to place the police 'above the law'.
But tyrannical and dictatorial repression is what 'those other countries' do, right? Why is it, then, that we constantly see headlines of people in the U.S. being beaten, tasered, and even shot to death for such minor infringements as traffic violations? Are cops 'out of control'? Are they 'just obeying orders'?

Historically, smoking various plants was believed to be beneficial. But today, we know better, right?
Assuming smoking is unhealthy, the science should therefore support 'what everyone knows'.
But, as the following Sott.net-produced video shows, it doesn't.
Manufactured Terror is an anthology of investigative reporting on some of the most heinous crimes committed on American soil in recent years. While these events invariably go down as the work of 'lone nuts', gaping holes in the official narratives invite us to look behind the dramatic headlines and officials' psycho-babble.
Context is everything. Sometimes a lone nut is just that. But given abundant historical precedent for the involvement of state actors (note: not 'actors') in terror attacks and mass shootings, those who do most to position themselves as 'protectors of the people' appear to have most to gain from terrorizing their own population.

First there was the 1991 Iraq

The 'good old days'- Gulf 'war' 1 and the highway of death. Military and civilian vehicles alike, and their occupants, blown to pieces by the USA
Next Stop - Syria
Then came the (Israeli-sponsored) plan to 'remake' Syria. But when it was decided that a US invasion and occupation of that country was too problematic in the sense that it might set the entire Middle East alight and threaten Israeli sensitivities, plan B was to use the same fundamentalist jihadi nut-jobs from Iraq to start a 'revolution' that the majority of the Syrian people wanted nothing to do with. But after three years of direct and indirect funding and arming of the jihadis by the USA, Saudi Arabia Qatar and Turkey, and massive bloodshed, with several Syrian cities reduced almost to rubble, Assad was still there, the Syrian army were prevailing against the nut-jobs, and the psychopaths at the US state department, the CIA and in Tel Aviv, were getting antsy. 'Can't we just have NATO bomb the crap out of the place?' A pretext was needed, and last year the Saudis were used to supply sarin gas to the jihadis (or a Saudi black op team did it themselves), who happily sacrificed the lives of 1,000 Syrian civilians in Ghouta in an effort to blame the Assad government for 'war crimes' and justify NATO (i.e. USA) bombing.
This week on SOTT Talk Radio we discussed the recently released book by SOTT.net editors Pierre Lescaudron and Laura
Knight-Jadczyk, Earth Changes and the Human-Cosmic Connection.
While official science portrays the crazy weather, more frequent sinkholes, increased meteor fireball activity, and intensifying earthquakes as phenomena that are unrelated, research put together by Pierre and Laura strongly suggests that all this (and more!) is intimately connected and may stem from a common cause.
In times past, people understood that the human mind and states of collective human experience influence cosmic and earthly phenomena. How might today's 'wars and rumors of wars', global 'austerity measures', and the mass protest movements breaking out everywhere play into the climate 'changing'?

The fifth installment in our new monthly series, the following video compiles footage of 'signs of the times' from around the world during May 2014 - 'earth changes', extreme weather and planetary upheaval.
Highlights this month include: wildfires breaking out in places where snow is falling a.) nearby, and b.) way further south. Several huge dust storms smothering cities in the U.S., the Middle East and Central Asia, while up near the Arctic Circle, Alaska's largest ever forest fire consumed over 200,000 acres. A record-breaking spring heatwave in southwestern U.S. combined with incredibly destructive wildfires to San Diego into a warzone. 150,000 people were forced to evacuate their homes as multiple 'fire-nadoes' torched suburbs.
Unbelievable quantities of hail were dumped in tropical Sao Paulo, Brazil, as well as across the U.S., while record-breaking rainfall led to flooding in many places throughout the U.S., the Middle East, southern China, Africa, and Europe. Spectacular electrical storms swept across the U.S. and Europe, while over 3,000 occurred in the Balkans following the worst flooding since record-keeping began, and a horrific 'double-landslide' in Afghanistan buried 2,700 people alive.
Notable mass fish kills happened in New Jersey, Los Angeles and Texas, while ice was still floating on the Great Lakes despite a spring heatwave. Three feet of snow hit Denver despite massive wildfires breaking out elsewhere in the Rockies. Two tornadoes touched down in Ukraine, two days apart, and a number of massive sinkholes opened up, including one that nearly swallowed traffic on a busy street in Russia.
Connecting the dots...
Have proponents of man-made global warming been proven correct?
Or is something else, something much bigger, happening on our planet?
While mainstream science claims the phenomena covered in this video series are unrelated, they in fact appear to stem from a single common cause.
In times past, people understood that the human mind and states of collective human experience influence cosmic and earthly phenomena.
Historical records reveal a strong correlation between periods of authoritarian oppression with catastrophic and cosmically-induced natural disasters.
Published by Red Pill Press, Earth Changes and the Human-Cosmic Connection is the third installment in the 'Secret History of the World' series, a must-read for anyone seeking to understand the signs of our times.

It has been brought to our attention that footage included in this Video Summary of record-breaking flooding in Hungary is in fact from last year, early June 2013.
