Unfortunately, relatively few people, including libertarians, comprehend that the Pentagon, along with the CIA and the NSA and, to a certain extent, the FBI, are the part of the federal government in which ultimate power is being wielded. They are the ones who are ruling the roost in America. That's why that memo is so important. It's declaring how things will be.
This overwhelming power is usually exercised behind the scenes in order to make Americans feel comfortable that their government is different from other national-security governments. While the national-security branch of the government is driving the overall direction America will take, especially with respect to foreign affairs, it permits the other three branches to maintain the appearance of power. The idea is to convince Americans that the federal government operates the same as a national-security state as it did when it was a limited-government republic.

One of the men who was part of the siege of the Capitol building is John Earle Sullivan, an extreme BLM activist from Utah.
In clips of the actual event, he is heard encouraging fellow thugs to set fire to the building. Sullivan was also (magically) the person who was right on the spot to film the murder of Ashli Babbit.
We have been warned previously by many who suffered totalitarian communism in Eastern Europe. We were warned for many decades that such a moment would come to the West if we were not vigilant enough; unfortunately, it seems that our watchfulness has failed and our liberty has been stolen.
We have a lot to learn from history and from the great Russian writer and critic of Soviet communism, Alexander Solzhenitsyn, especially in our present era of the COVID-19 Brave New Normal. In his address to Harvard University in 1978, Solzhenitsyn said:
Many of you have already found out, and others will find out in the course of their lives, that truth eludes us if we do not concentrate our attention totally on its pursuit. But even while it eludes us, the illusion of knowing it still lingers and leads to many misunderstandings. Also, truth seldom is pleasant; it is almost invariably bitter. There is some bitterness in my speech too, but I want to stress that it comes not from an adversary, but from a friend.

Masako Ganaha analyzes the Ashli Babbit shooting video in an interview with Joshua Philipp
During the protests at the Capitol building on Jan. 6, among the five people killed was Air Force veteran Ashli Babbit. The behavior of several individuals around the violence, however, suggests that there was coordinated action among the agitators. To learn more about this we've invited to speak with us independent Japanese journalist Masako Ganaha.
Comment: The FBI is currently seeking information on the guy in question:
As for Sullivan, the BLM guy who filmed the shooting:
By changing the definition they are creating the perception that vaccination is the only way to deal with diseases of any kind, rather than the way life has dealt with them from the beginning of immune systems.
On top of this, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization has said "Herd immunity is a concept used for vaccination, in which a population can be protected from a certain virus if a threshold of vaccination is reached," but, he explained, it is achieved by protecting people from the virus, "not by exposing them to it".

The riot that followed the rally called by Trump - in his last-ditch effort to sway members of Congress to reconsider states' electoral college votes - was certainly chaotic and worthy of sensational headlines, but was the "insurrection on Capitol Hill" really an "attempted coup by President Trump"?
Joe Quinn and Niall Bradley discuss the extraordinary scenes within and outside the halls of Congress last week, placing the event (and the congressional session it overshadowed) in the context of four years of sustained media disinformation and political polarization that is reaching fever pitch.
What next for Trump? And for the American people?
The media are already spinning a narrative around the events in Washington DC. One that bears no resemblance to reality, does not hold up to any kind of scrutiny and will have massive, far-reaching consequences for all of us.
They're calling it "one of the darkest days in our nation's history", a day that will "live in infamy". It will likely be memed into a shorthand date - 1/6/21, like 9/11 and 7/7. It will be the day "American democracy was attacked and prevailed", the day the nation nearly fell to "fascists".
It will become just one more grand sweeping illusion upon which the teetering structures of US Imperial power are built.
This week on MindMatters we interview Dr. Simon about his work and the frameworks that have helped thousands to understand their relationships, as well as provided assistance for those wishing to look into the mirror of their own weaknesses, narcissism and failures of character - reminding us that while it's valuable to see the egregious behavior of others, it is also crucial to be able to recognize and correct our own failings.

Hundreds of thousands (possibly millions) of patriots have descended on Washington DC to show their support for President Trump and to put spineless Republicans on notice who refuse to reject electoral college votes from 6 contested states.
Democrat Mayor Bowser has blocked off the roads, making it nearly impossible for even the most seasoned traveler to navigate around the city. Restaurants are closed, making it next to impossible for these patriots to find food, and bathrooms are nowhere to be found. Additionally, the DC mayor, who refused to call in the National Guard when Black Lives Matter and Antifa were attempting to breach the perimeter of the White House has called in the National Guard to keep MAGA patriots in line.
Comment: ConservativeUS has publicized reports of suspected riot preparations in DC:
Multiple groups have received permits to host events with hundreds or thousands of people around the National Mall and near the White House. Demonstrations were set to begin with a march to the Capitol on Tuesday and culminate in rallies on Wednesday.Trump addresses supporters: Donald Trump Jr. gave a rousing response:
D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser has encouraged people to avoid downtown on Tuesday and Wednesday as law enforcement braces for the possibility of violent confrontations between pro-Trump demonstrators and counterprotesters.
"Make no mistake: many of these individuals have stated that they are coming to the District to provoke residents and wreak havoc," D.C. Attorney General Karl Racine said.
The Metropolitan Police Department is expecting a crowd larger than at two pro-Trump events in D.C. last year. The D.C. National Guard will assist with crowd management and traffic control, officials said Monday.
Thousands gathered at Freedom Plaza, just a block from the White House, at around 1 p.m. Tuesday to kick off the first event of the day.
All firearms are banned within 1,000 feet of where the signs are posted ahead of pro-President Donald Trump demonstrations against certifying the electoral college votes for the 2020 presidential election, Fox 5 reported.
The security should be at the highest level but it seems that stashes of bricks and propane tanks are left unguarded on the streets near Freedom Plaza.
Photo below:
A local patriot reveled a stash of brick left there overnight:
She also posted a video explaining the whole situation:
Later she found a stash of un-protected Propane tanks.
Like that wasn't strange enough a photo of an NBC News security member surfaced and the man was looking identical to Antifa rioters that we've seen all summer burning our cities.
This is strange given the fact that the DC mayor said that they are well prepared. Dan Scavino gets the word out:
Supporters storm the Capitol:
Hundreds of thousands cheer 'Fight for Trump':
Thousands of trump supporters have entered the Capitol building:
US Capitol goes on LOCKDOWN:
UPDATE (4:15 EST): Trump and others have taken to Twitter to try to calm things down:
Here are protesters breaking windows to breach the Capitol, and some of the fighting that ensued:
There were reports of gunfire in the chambers, tear gas, reinforcements called in, and apparently an "armed standoff".
Pence was evacuated, as were Senate members. The National Guard was called to support Capitol Police, but the Pentagon apparently denied the request. One Trump supporter trying to enter the Senate was shot in the neck by police.
As for the protesters who stormed the Capitol, there's this:
A few more items for this update:
Trump gave one more message calling for peace and for people to go home:
Food for thought:
UPDATE (Jan. 7, 12:05 am EST): While violent and betraying the character conservatives have striven to uphold, the Capitol Hill riot couldn't hold a torch to the antifa/BLM riots back in May.
But that hasn't stopped Democrats from capitalizing on the optics (and begging for law and order).
The idiot rioters did exactly what the psychopathic Democrats wanted them to do, and now the Dems are gloating and exaggerating, as usual. We'll start with Biden, who went so far as to call it an "insurrection" (McConnell said the same thing, and Tim Cook, plus the usual tools like Obama, Bush, Clinton, et al.):
Schumer called it the next Pearl Harbor:
The Democrats are talking about impeaching Trump. Seriously? They're certain Biden will be inaugurated in two weeks. This either smacks of desperation or pure vindictive treachery.
Woke Critical Theory pseudo-reality makes its entrance:
Twitter blocked Trump for 12 hours. A state of emergency was declared in DC. The woman who was shot by police has died - she was an Air Force vet from California. Police say there were four fatalities.
It's hard to tell at this point how much violence there actually was. A lot of the people who 'stormed' the Capitol building were actually behaving themselves. Police even posed for selfies with them:
While many were in all likelihood crazy Trump supporters (like the QAnon guy with antlers), they were no doubt infiltrated by antifa types too.
Here's some of what all these rejects did:
And some more footage of the chaos:
Finally for tonight, here's Tucker on today's events:
UPDATE (Jan. 7, 4:30 pm EST): The officer involved in the shooting and killing of Ashli Babbitt has been suspended. (Police say over 50 officers were injured yesterday.)
You'll recognize this guy. Yes, he's crazy, and doing an Alex Jones impression to boot (kind of fitting, given that he's a voice actor in 'real life'):
Speaking of Venezuela, Twitter included Guaido in a list of 'world leaders' condemning the events at the Capitol. Yep, this Guaido:
It must be hypocrisy Thursday, because the hysterical propaganda today is off the charts.
In addition to his total social media ban, Trump might soon be banned from the UK, at least if Scottish "Justice" Minister Humza Yousaf gets his way, citing Trump's presence as "not conducive to the public good."
The entire American establishment (House, Senate, both parties, media, big tech) have united - against Trump. That should tell you how dangerous he was to them. This goes far beyond just not liking the guy or thinking he's Hitler. They consider him an existential threat and resorted to everything within their power to get rid of him, including a blatantly fraudulent election, and now, calls for his impeachment and removal via the 25th amendment.

Comment: Here's another thing to consider: the trouble at the Capitol started before Trump's speech (which took place 45 minutes' walk away from the Capitol):
