A multi-billion dollar industry has spawned surveillance and security systems with a supporting army of guards, agents, supervisors and security personnel. They keep us in line and keep us safe from the omnipresent threat of an ubiquitous, all-pervasive mythical terror. Thrust at us by a compliant media are over-hyped and sensationalized reports, hysterical speeches and horrifying attacks that almost very nearly happen or, as we are told, WILL happen, sometime soon, and are all so big and so scary that you must place your water bottle in the bin and take your shoes off to survive. It's all designed to paralyze our senses and reduce us to strip-searched carcasses as we sleepwalk along the travelators through naked scanners...

The mainstream media was quick to publicise the findings of a survey that showed widespread public support for the global drive to install 'naked' full-body scanners at airports.

Articles such as Sky News: UK Holidaymakers Back Use Of Full-Body Scanners and Agence France-Presse: Opinion poll: US anti-terror too lax, uncritically repeated the report's findings without questioning the reliability of the survey or mentioning the conflict of interests held by those in the security industry who stand to profit from rolling out these dangerous machines.

There is one glaring omission from these and the many media reports that published 'news' articles based on the Unisys press release. That is who Unisys is, their connections with government, military, Homeland security, the Transportation Services Authority (TSA) and how they profit from airport security technologies. The failure of the mainstream media to report the true source and motives behind this survey is a clear example of how they lie by omitting the most important facts.

The recent release of 17 minutes of video footage shot from an American Apache helicopter on July 12, 2007 in Iraq, is reprehensible, seditious, and un-American. Video footage such as this, as well as hundreds of thousands of documents normally kept safely out of the prying hands of an ill-informed public under the aegis of National Security, are not released for a reason. Simply put, they spoil our fun.



After all, how are we to successfully wage a war of unprovoked aggression when such "leaks" reveal all our tricks and flimsy justifications for senseless and adrenalin-pumping murder to every 13-year-old who has access to YouTube? How can we stand by our plausible cover stories when videos like this impugn our self-created credibility? Yes, when our expendable, fleshy killing machines see an Iraqi man with a camera, what other choice do they have than to tell their superiors he has a weapon and request to "engage" him, and any other Iraqis who happen to be in the vicinity? How else are they supposed to raise their "kill count", I ask you??

A rather funny thing happened at the beginning of this month that involved a fictitious article penned by the little known but much loved Igantious O'Reilly for publication on April Fool's Day. The article, Sudden Mass American Enlightenment Puzzles Congress and Causes National Security Alert, very quickly became a hugely popular editorial that was picked up by thousands of alternative news websites, forums and discussion groups around the world.

What was it about this article that resonated with so many people?

In times such as these, the powers that be seem to be getting even more desperate to hold onto control and keep the wool pulled over our eyes. A message of hope that the world CAN change is a powerful one, provided that as many of us as possible wake up to the reality of the lies we have been told. We CAN collaborate by sharing our knowledge and joining together to form new communities that no longer feed the greedy, power-hungry ambitions of the psychopaths who are world leaders, financial oligarchs, and run or own multinational conglomerates.

To protect ourselves, what needs to be done is to wake up as many other people as possible. Only when a sufficient number of people are awake will they be able to awaken those around them. Then, and only then, will it be possible to form a united movement to simply remove all support from the psychopaths that have taken over our world and begin planning for the future of OUR children - rather than the offspring of the ruling psychopaths.

BBC, Sky and ITV revealed the schedule for the three eagerly-awaited live reality TV shows to be broadcast on British TV networks in the run up to the May 6th polling day. There is a vain hope of brainwashing the British public into believing that there is any discernible difference between the three main parties. It is also hoped that the shows will improve turnout among voters who increasingly cannot be bothered because of the medieval disproportionate voting system that means their votes don't count anyway.
