Comment: The new "modern" UFO explanations now: fireworks and chinese lanterns.

Ah, you gotta luv the guys who keep coming up with these things to debunk UFO sightings. Quite an imaginative lot.

Wales: Family terrified by UFO

When you think of alien invasions, a variety of landing sites spring to mind.

Cornfields are always a popular choice, as are the backwaters of the USA's Deep South.

But for Pentrebach's Christine Williams, a terrifying first encounter may have happened closer to home - near the McArthurglen on the M4.

The 44-year-old was driving back from a visit to her daughters-in-law at 10.40pm on July 11 with the family, when husband Robert happened to look up at the passenger window.

Kincardine, Canada: Unexplained explosions mystify

The mystery surrounding explosions that shook the Kincardine area last Thursday deepened yesterday with University of Western Ontario scientists ruling out a meteor shower.

"Something pretty significant exploded south and west of Goderich and Kincardine.

"It could have exploded out in Lake Huron," said Dr. Peter Brown, associate professor in the department of physics and astronomy at Western and the Canada Research Chair of meteor science.

Highly sensitive devices installed near Lucan by Western to monitor low-frequency sound waves detected a series of four impulses that lasted about a minute.

The impulses started at 11:12 p.m. on July 31.

Flashback Underground UFO base in the Himalayan border known to China and India

Kongka La is the low ridge pass in the Himalayas (the blue oval in the map). It is in the disputed India-China border area in Ladakh. In the map the red zone is the disputed area still under Chinese control in the Aksai Chin area. The Chinese held northeastern part is known as Aksai Chin and Indian South West is known as Ladakh. This is the area where Indian and Chinese armies fought major war in 1962. The area is one of the least accessed area in the world and by agreement the two countries do not patrol this part of the border. According to many tourists, Buddhist monks and the local people of Ladakh, the Indian Army and the Chinese Military maintain the line of control. But there is something much more serious happening in this area.

According to the few local people on the Indian and Chinese sides, this is where the UFOs are seen coming out of the ground. According to many, the UFO underground bases are in this region and both the Indian and Chinese Government know this very well.

Canada: Winnipeg, Manitoba Numberous Objects

Full Description of event/sighting: Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada July 25-26/2008 2:00 am to 5:30 am

The event (which is still ongoing) occurred on July 25/2008 around 2:00 AM. I went outside to have a smoke and was laying down on my picnic table and was looking at the stars like I often do and to my surprise I saw a very dim star moving in the sky and at first thought it was the space station which I have seen many times. I quickly realized it was not the space station due to the speed at which the object was moving and also by the way it was moving.
