Researchers 'almost' witness crop circle formation.

The strongest evidence so far that some crop circles are not man made was presented to a choice gathering at the Coronation Hall in Alton Barnes yesterday.

Massive pattern of circles in East Field, Alton Priors, Wiltshire, U. K. wheat, estimated to cover 96,600 square feet, or 2.25 acres, with more than 95 circles spread across 1,033 feet and 490 feet wide.

Norwegian film maker Terje Toftenes presented the DVD he has made of the extraordinary circumstances surrounding the creation of a massive crop formation in East Field, Alton Barnes, on July 7.

Most formations are discovered the morning after and some have even been created in fields with observers sitting on overlooking hills.

Flashback Anomalous zones of Russia: Bottomless lake

There is probably no one in Buryatia, who hasn't heard about the mysterious lake Sobolkho, which has a reputation of "fear's residence". This may seem unbelievable but the precise depth of the lake is still unknown, besides, the area surrounding the lake is infamous for the facts of people and domestic animals' disappearance. They all are considered drowned although no body has ever been got from the bottom of the lake; moreover, animals drowned there were sometimes found in other waters and ponds. Local witnesses claim that there is also bright pink light which appears over the lake every night and is thought of as souls of the drowned people and animals asking for help to find peace in sepulchral life.

The natives have deemed the lake as bewitched for a long time and tried to propitiate its dwellers, but scientists from the Russian Academy of Sciences (the RAS) stick to the opinion that Sobolkho is a classic example of natural geopathogenic zone, linked with peculiar structure of Earth crust on this territory.

Flashback Anomalous zones of Russia: Arkaim town

Four thousand years ago the local dwellers suddenly left the town Arkaim located in the south of the present Chelyabinsk Region and burnt the empty settlement. The town had a circular structure coordinated with the stars order. Many believe in mystical characteristics of the area and link it with the legends of ancient Siberia and the Urals. Specialists of the monitoring station of anomalies' research in the Urals claim that the specialized national park-museum Arkaim is a vast anomalous zone.

Arkaim was found by an archaeological expedition of the State University of Chelyabinsk in 1987. Geo physic methods let the scientists come to the conclusion that the ancient settlement located on that territory consisted of 60 buildings (35 in the inner circle of the town, and 25 in the outer circle). By the moment archaeologists have carefully researched 29 buildings. Although the settlement is not so well-known as Stonehenge it is highly unique and has even more complex organization. Modern astronomers were surprised by the diversification, complexity, and accuracy of the built "project", taking into account the fact that there had not been found traces of any earlier and simpler constructions in that area.

New Zealand: Farmer reported UFO sighting near Mt Peel

Extra-terrestrial movement in South Canterbury skies need no longer go untold.

The UFO Focus New Zealand Research Network (UFOCUS NZ) has developed a web-based formal reporting system for any sightings of unidentified flying objects in the country.

The system should attract plenty of interest in South Canterbury as at the centre of their latest investigations is a sighting near Mount Peel.

Hamilton Air Traffic Controller and UFOCUS NZ investigator Graeme Opie said the sighting was reported by a dairy farmer bringing his cows in for milking at a property near Hinds about 7.15pm on Friday March 30.

The lights, which were seen towards Mount Peel, were making sudden movements which meant it could not have been a plane or helicopter, he said.

Woman snaps UFO as it buzzes past

The mystery surrounding an unidentified flying object off the Central Coast continues after a woman captured a fuzzy picture of it on her digital camera.

Katie Elvins, of Umina Beach, said she noticed the object while she was waiting for a bus.

''My camera is small enough to fit in my handbag so I always have it on me,'' she said.

''I was just looking in that direction and noticed it in the sky.''

She said she didn't tell her friends or family about the incident and forgot about the photos.

That was until she read an article in the Express Advocate a week later about a former air traffic controller's sighting of a mysterious object which prompted her to have the pictures printed.

Flashback Ex-airforce man says 'UFO' sight a mystery

A Former air traffic controller wants to know what the strange object is he has been seeing flying over Terrigal.

Lindsay Carter, of Terrigal, said he was reluctant to speak out but had become so frustrated at not being able to identify it he has called on the public to provide an answer.

''If someone can tell me it's the 2.30pm (passenger flight) from Brisbane then I would be happy,'' he said.

But after three years with the British Air Force as an air traffic controller and a lifetime interest in planes, Mr Carter, 63, said he was confident at being able to identify almost every kind military or commercial aircraft.

''This is different-looking enough for anyone to find it strange,'' he said.

The formation - which appeared without any sound - lasted 15 minutes and baffled those watching from the ground before fading away.

Question

Norwegian UFO-mystery solved?

Norwegian scientists now believe they are nearing a solution to the Hessdalen UFO-mystery which has puzzled experts for more than 25 years.

The so-called Hessdalen lights have been seen ever since the 1940's and have since 1984 been monitored by volunteers.

Hessdalen is a small valley in the central part of Norway. At the end of 1981 through 1984, residents of the Valley became concerned and alarmed about strange, unexplained lights that appeared at many locations throughout the Valley. Hundreds of lights were observed. At the peak of activity there were about 20 reports a week.

Project Hessdalen was established in the summer of 1983. A field investigation was carried out between 21st of January and 26th of February 1984. Fifty-three light observations were made during the field investigation.

UFO Sighting Report Process Formalised in New Zealand

A formal reporting system and specific guidelines have been developed for people who observe unidentified flying objects (UFOs) in New Zealand.

The system provides people with step-by-step advice on how to document what they saw, the circumstances in which they experienced the sighting, and if it had an effect on them.

Reporting system developer Mr Graeme Opie, a Hamilton air traffic controller and pilot, said the reporting program was created in line with overseas models developed by leading global UFO researchers and scientists.

Mr Opie, who is a sighting report investigator for the nationwide UFO Focus New Zealand Research Network (UFOCUS NZ) states, The system is based on a scientific approach where witnesses can go to our website (www.ufocusnz.org.nz) and obtain advice on sighting documentation, and complete a comprehensive report format.

Unexplained sighting gives the Show-Me state a spot in UFO lore

Strange sightings of a massive, triangular object that stretched across the sky seven years ago have propelled St. Clair County into the heights of UFO lore.

"I can't explain what I saw," said Mark Lopinot, an O'Fallon police detective who watched as the object approached his city. "It was shocking."

Thanks in part to documentaries that get continued play on cable TV, the sightings by Lopinot and several other police officers have become legend, and St. Clair County has become an important place in the UFO debate. Local police departments often field calls about the 2000 incident and hear reports of new UFO sightings. The county has become a focus for the extra-terrestrial-minded.
