Last night, about 12 midnight on April 4th 2009 I was sitting in our sunroom (large windows) at our computer looking at colleges online for our daughter. My husband was in the bathroom getting ready for bed (brushing his teeth). Our house was silent, no tv on, no computer sound on. Both our kids were staying at friends homes.

I then heard this loud humming noise....WOOoooWoooWOOoooWOOooo. I looked towards the noise that was coming from behind the house. I was frozen at what I saw. There were double twin light beams coming from the sky, directly down to the ground. The light was not dissipated as a flash light would be. The beams were moving up and down within the beam itself. There was both the noise and the double twin beams happening at the same time.

My husband came out of the bathroom asking what the weird noise was. He thought that it was something on the computer or I had the tv on. He looked towards the tv and the computer and seen there was no noise coming form either. He looked at me standing by the large windows and said what was that noise? The noise and the lights were gone, but he had heard the noise and it brought him out of the bathroom to question it. He heard the noise over brushing his teeth and running water. I told him about the lights and he believed me.

We have no noise out here. We live on 25 acres with a few hundred acres of farmland, woods and crp land behind us. Our house sits up on a hill with an unobstructed view of the sky. Our sunroom has very large windows that go up to a peak. I tell you this so that you can see that I had a very clear view of what I saw.

As far as the weather, it was snowing and the humidity was high. Sound doesn't travel well in that kind of weather. On days when it's calm and dry or cold, you can hear semis 4 miles south of hear humming down a highway. This was not that. The light beams had two separated strands on the left side going straight up and down from the ground to the sky. The light beams on the right! were also two separated light beams going straight up and down to the sky. I looked up to see where they were coming from, but because of the snow, the beams went into what ever they call the low snow ceiling. I then talked to my husband about what just happened. We both went outside to listen for any more noise. There was nothing. Then he took his 10 million candlepower flashlight out and pointed it out in the backyard. With a flashlight we did the same thing. Both times, the light would spread out and you could see all the snow coming down. With the double twin light beams that I witnessed, they were solid stands. No breaking up of the beams, just straight lines down. I then called my 19 year old daughter that was in the town 5 miles away and asked her if she heard/seen anything. They were watching movies in her friends basement. Nothing. I decided that it did need to be reported, so after about 15 minutes, I decided to call the Rice County Mn non emergency sheriffs' telephone number. The dispatcher did take the call seriously. She was nice about it and said that I did need to repeat the story to a deputy. She transferred the phone to him. I told him about what happened. He was also great about what I told him. I told him that I work as a librarian at a local high school, I don't drink and I don't smoke. I am a middle age women that has 2 kids, a farm and would not make up what happened last night. He had me describe in detail for their report, about what happened . He said that "there are too many reports world wide of this stuff happening for some of it not to be real, and the universe is too large for us to believe we are the only one here". I felt the need to report this to them, and I also feel the need to report this on your sight also. I did go outside this morning to see if there was any visible sign on the ground to where the beams were touching, but I could not see any. It did snow about 2 to 3 inches overnight. I was standing on the platform of the 7 subway train in Woodside, New York (61st/Woodside stop). I'm about 15 mins by subway from NYC. The stop I was on happens to be outdoors, the 7 train is mostly an elevated train.

I was looking from the subway platform on a beautiful sunnny day at all the different airplanes flying in, out, and around La Guardia Airport. Some airplanes were flying very high, others, mid altitude, others landing. Suddenly I noticed a silver ball moving from what I thought was east to west and a steady speed and not higher than any of the airplanes flying. My first reaction was, wow, a balloon, but then I noticed how the ball was extremely shiny, almost as it had it's own shine or the sun was shinning on a metallic object not a silver balloon. Suddenly the ball came to a complete stop for about 3 secs and then started to go back to where it came from at a higher rate of speed than before. That's when I realized this was quite unusual. It was not an airplane, helicopter, or any aircraft I've ever seen. As the UFO changed direction I jumped on the Manhattan bound train that had arrived at the station and continued to watch the ball until it was out of site from the train.

This is the first time I see something as unusual as this. Could a balloon change direction completely like that? The speed always seemed quite steady, almost as if something were pushing it, moving it a along.

I was relaxing having a cigarette not 100 yards from my house near a playground and looked up to look at the constellations. Since I live near the Boulder Municipal Airport when I saw two orbiting red spherical objects (they were orbiting each other) over in the west of where I live (which is slightly to the west of the airport) I called the police non-emergency line. As the phone was ringing I saw a slight flash of green come from the east. A solitary green sphere was floating right over where the airport is emitting occasional bursts of light. As I watched the three orb/spheres I told the police what was going on. Then I saw something I knew I should not tell them. The green orb detached two smaller green orbs that chased the two red orbs off to the north. When I went inside to email this off, the large green orb was still there. All the time there were aircraft passing by at normal flight altitudes but what I found disconcerting was the fact that I could not hear the trains I normally hear this time of night going by on the tracks just under half a mile away.

So you know, I am a firm believer in UFOs and have twice before seen them but never this many in a single sitting, it has always been silver doughnut shaped UFOs before now and in pairs. Anyway I am a student and a retail sales person who is between jobs and schools. Is there a new image that is proof of a big ginger cat said to be "the size of a small lion" stalking the hills of the island nation of New Zealand?

As you may recall, a year ago, reports of a mystery cat, said to look like a "lion," had the Northland of New Zealand as the seat of much excitement.

The giant alleged wild felid, dubbed the "Kaiwaka Lion," was seen, for example, by Kaiwaka firefighter Allan Swanson's son Carl, 18, during an urban search and rescue exercise in a quarry at Kaiwaka, 90 minutes north of Auckland, on May 29, 2008.

Today, April 15, in Australia, the talk is of a photograph that may show a "New Zealand lion." (Just for the record, lions are not native to New Zealand.)

Two backpackers on a year long trip around Australia got the fright of their life last week while they were out trekking in bushland in the vicinity of the township of Leura, not far from the well known Katoomba landmark, 'The Three Sisters'.

It was early evening and by the two ladies admission a bit late to be by themselves in the bush. Ingrid Schoen 23, of Germany and Adi Hassan, 22 of France decided to head back into to town when heard the breaking of branches and loud footsteps heading towards them. Ingrid shone a torch onto the track in front of them. At this point they both claim to have seen what they now describe as Bigfoot charge away into the distance.

A Blakedown resident has reported seeing a "strange orange light" float across the sky on Saturday night.

John Shellis, of Birmingham Road, said the light looked like "a large ball" and moved "quite low in the sky" from north to south.

Mr Shellis, an astronomy enthusiast, was standing in his garden looking at the sky at about 12.30am on Sunday morning.

He said: "This light was definitely out of the norm. I often look up in wonderment at night time if it's a clear sky.

"You can often see up to 10 satellites at any hour of the night but this was much faster and larger.

An Aberdeen UFO expert today warned a further wave of activity could be on the horizon.

At the end of last year the Evening Express revealed how a spate of readers came forward after spotting suspected UFOs - ball of light moving strangely in the sky.

Now Aberdeen-based expert Ian Taylor, who has studied UFOs for more than 50 years, claims there has been another sighting in Aberdeen.

He said: "Just when we thought the active UFO sighting wave of late 2008 had all but ceased, yet another sighting took place to the east end of Aberdeen."

The UFO expert spotted a "brilliant" orange-red light moving above the roof-line of homes on Aberdeen's Gray Street, near Great Western Road.

Some exciting UFO sightings have come across the wire today, including a strange object photographed in Clairton, Pennsylvania; multiple objects changing shapes in San Francisco, California; and, a possibly landing/crash in Austin, Texas.

Clairton, Pennsylvania - 4/13/2009 - A family spotted an object flying very slowly over the horizon. They immediately got a camera and began taking pictures. One of the pictures is illustrated on the right. No additional information is available at this time, but Mufon will be investigating.

Pennsylvania sightings summary for the first three months, ending March 31st - 4/13/2009

During the first quarter of 2009, the Mutual UFO Network (Mufon) had received a total of 58 sightings reports from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Of the 58 total sightings reported to the center, 50 have been completed by state Mufon field investigators, with eight still under investigation. After completing a thorough investigation, the field investigator reaches a conclusion as to the appropriate classification of the reported sighting. The respective classifications include: Unknown - meaning that the sighting did not fall into the explanation of being either man-made in origin, a weather/atmospheric anomaly, or an observation of a natural celestial object; Identified flying object - meaning that the object is a conventional type of aircraft (i.e. airplane, helicopter, blimp, balloon, etc.); Insufficient data - meaning that there wasn't enough information available from the report to be able to reach a reasonable conclusion; and finally, a hoax.

The following is the breakdown, by case classification, of the final dispositions as determined by the assigned field investigators: Unknown - 19; Identified flying object - 8; Insufficient data -21; Hoax - 2. Of the 19 cases classified as unknown, the following are descriptions of the objects observed: Disk, oval-shaped - 3; Slow moving objects - 2; Circle - 2; Star-like - 4; Square/rectangular - 1; Diamond-shaped - 1; Triangle - 1; Fireball, sphere, star-like - 1.

Just as some of the mystery of America's Area 51 is lifted another less known UFO related military facility in another part of the world is beginning to capture the imaginations of ufologists.

Xinhua, the Chinese government owned news agency, has just published a dramatic article that has been republished throughout China and is creating shockwaves amongst UFO researchers in the entire region. The article claims that Xinhua received information during the Cold War from Russian military sources regarding UFOs and alien bodies being kept in Russia's top secret rocket launch and development site: Kapustin Yar in the Astrakhan region.

Kapustin Yar, often referred to as Russia's Roswell is reasonably well known in the West. UFO sightings are a common occurrence in the area. UFO researchers have long heard rumours of retrieved UFOs and alien bodies stored in vast underground facilities said to exist beneath the grounds of the facility.
