England: Witness sees a bright light appear and then shoot off as if going into 'hyperspace'

Time: About 9:30 pm

Witness Statement: I was looking out at the stars out of my bathroom window thinking about ufo's/what might be out there for a good 5 - 10 mins. Suddenly to the right of where I was looking, a very bright light appeared from no where, pretty much in the centre view of my window. This happened within 3 - 4 seconds so it's difficult to recall what I saw totally. But from best memory it was a yellow/white orb, and after about 2 seconds of appearing it shot off in the opposite direction at a speed like nothing I've ever seen. If there's any star wars fans out there reading this, well, it was like a ship going into hyperspace. It had a long trail behind it, leading back to where it originally became visible, which was completely untraceable within 2 seconds. The trail was white in colour if memory serves. But yeah, I could not believe what I saw.

Shape of objects: Orange and white bright light
Weather Conditions: night time, partial clouds

Description: A friend and I were headed north on highway 24 from Simcoe going towards Brantford. Originally seeing two white non-blinking lights traveling fairly low and a slow speed. We both questioned what it was but thought nothing of it. Around 10 minutes later in the same direction a bright orange and white light appeared as well as a dimmer white light beside it. They seemed to be hanging around a few radio towers. Now my friend and I were seriously interested because no doubt this light was brighter than a tower, helicopter, plane, unlike anything we've ever seen before. The orange light was slowly getting brighter it seemed after about five minutes. As we kept watching the orange light for a few minutes it got very bright, bright enough that I'm positive if anyone was looking in that direction they would have noticed it easily. Suddenly both these lights dimmed and instantly disappeared.

Canada: No evidence UFO was rocket says Prime Minister's Office

The Prime Minister Office says there is no evidence of anyone firing a rocket near Newfoundland's southern coast, despite reports of a flaming unidentified object shooting through the sky in Harbour Mille on Monday.

"There is no indication that there was ever a rocket launch," Dimitri Soudas, a spokesman for Prime Minister Stephen Harper, said Thursday in an email.

But a Liberal MP is accusing Ottawa of failing to provide answers on the mysterious sighting, captured in a photograph by Harbour Mille resident Darlene Stewart.

Gerry Byrne, the MP for Humber-St. Barbe-Baie Verte, said Thursday he had received no further information on the missile-like objects seen earlier this week.

Spaceship .... spotted over Porto

The skies are brimming with UFOs if Google is to be believed.

The website's street view system appears to have captured alien invasions over at least two European cities.

An incandescent pink blob has appeared over Porto in Portugal, while a huge floating grey 'spacecraft' was spotted in the skies above L'Aquila in Italy.

Scientists may be making a colossal mistake by deciding to contact extraterrestrial life rather than just listening.

One of my favourite films is Mars Attacks!, the 1996 science-fiction comedy from Tim Burton, in which Martians with Blairite grins swoop to Earth and pick off the suited earthlings that have assembled to welcome them. "Nice planet. We'll take it!" they snigger, as the body count rises.

Science doesn't work like the movies, though, and the idea of hostile aliens, armed with metal and malice, seems laughable. Or does it? Fifty fruitless years of scanning the heavens for signals has prompted some astronomers to abandon their roles as passive listeners and to start shouting across the cosmos.

There are plenty of observers who believe such hopeful hollering to be deeply unwise. Sir Bernard Lovell, the founding director of Jodrell Bank, together with the physicist Freeman Dyson and the intellectual Jared Diamond, believe that the terrestrial hand of courtesy should be extended with extreme caution. Their hesitancy is based on uncertainty about whether any extraterrestrials belong to the Spielberg school of cute'n'cuddly, or the Tim Burton institute for the murderously deranged.

Date of Sighting: 27 july 2008
Time: 1/2pm

Witness Statement: While laying down on a trampoline looking into the sky my sons and I noticed a small bright silver/yellow object just hovering in the sky. The object was very high and was first observed going across the sky. Then it was stationary for 10-15 mins before it disappeared vertical but I must stress it was of very high altitude so the correct shape could not be given.

Location of Sighting: Silverstone Circuit, Northamptonshire
Date of Sighting: 4th June 2008
Time: Mid afternoon

Witness Statement: Went to the Friday practise day for the 2008 British F1 Grand Prix at Silverstone. Stood about 30 metres south of the bridge over the Hangar Straight, for about 20 minutes, trying to get some action shots of the F1 cars. Didn't get much to write home about as far as the cars were concerned, but when I was going through the photos a while later, I spotted quite a few ufo's.

Now, I know that the airfield there is the busiest airport in the world on F1 race weekend, but the objects I caught on film are definitely not airplanes or helicopters (one of the pics has ufo and helicopter in the frame simultaneously and the difference is obvious).

Witness Statement: wWas takin photos of the snow covering we had after Christmas out of the bedroom window, just some random piccies When looking at the pictures later on we noticed a large beam of light from the cloud line to the ground. The tube of light seemed to have smaller lights inside as the picture shows. There was no noise so the option of a helicopter search light was dismissed, also there was no laser shows of any kind in the area ....( Oswestrys too boring for that kind of thing).

Pennsylvania continues to be an active state for reports of unusual activity. During 2009, strange incidents came to my attention that were reported by Pennsylvania residents from forty-eight counties across the state. Some of the types of unusual events reported included sightings of Unidentified Flying Objects, Bigfoot and other creature encounters, photo anomalies, strange footprints and sky flashes.

I have been researching and documenting such odd happenings of Pennsylvania incidents for over fifty years. My on-scene investigations of such occurrences started after the Kecksburg UFO incident took place in December of 1965. I began to take calls from the public in 1969 regarding such encounters. Ufologist recalls a "spaceship" extracting uranium from the vicinity of Frías in the 1970s.

[The community of] Santiago del Estero was graced yet again by a new sighting of an unidentified flying object (UFO) framed against the sun, an identical copy to the phenomenon photographed and filmed by a resident of the city of Loreto last Sunday. On this occasion, the sighting occurred in La Banda and was recorded by an 11-year-old using his cellphone.

In this state of affairs, and with a repetition of sightings of objects against the light of the sun, El Liberal contaced Fabio Zerpa - an acknowledged scholar of extraterrestrial phenomena - over the phone. While he was unable to speak as to the authenticity of these sightings, Zerpa reported that Santiago del Estero is an area of UFO sightings.
