High Strangeness
Ron and Delilah Jeremy were outside their Burn Lane home on Wednesday afternoon last week when they spotted a silver object moving erratically in the sky.
Former prison officer Ron, who captured a picture of the UFO with his mobile phone, said: "We were both quite shocked but we know there have been a few reported round this area.
Here in America, we can also look at the many 2008 sightings in the Stephenville, Texas, area or the Nov. 7, 2006, O'Hare International Airport case as recent examples.
Most people agree that "something" happened in these locations and on these dates. But what?
Was the Roswell incident a top-secret U.S. balloon-type device? Was the Phoenix lights case a series of military flares dropped in a nearby military aviation test range? Were the apparently reliable witnesses in the Stephenville region and at Chicago's O'Hare airport totally mistaken about what they saw?
As the anniversary of the Phoenix lights incident approaches, this may be a good time to take another look at this particular case and see if it provides any insight about the whole situation regarding UFOs and possible visitation to Earth by extraterrestrial and/or extra-dimensional intelligent beings.

One of two newly discovered Mayan panels is seen in the northern Guatemalan Peten jungle in this handout taken March 7, 2009.
As expected there was no mention of aliens or UFOs in relation to the find. Ufologists have been concentrating in particular on Mayan civilization and mythology for decades, probably more so than any other ancient civilisation. Its astronomy and myths of immortal beings arriving from the stars to give humans knowledge are well known.
Or maybe a giant rodent called a capybara?
Or possibly a giant beaver?
Tessa Barnett and her son, Austen, don't know.
All they know is they both saw a strange, reddish, barrel-shaped creature very early in the morning in the New Danville area on two separate occasions in the past six weeks.
The St Helens man, who asked not to be identified, says he saw a glowing disc in the sky over the North Road entrance top the park.
He said: "The object was at a height of roughly 500 feet and appeared to the naked eye as the size of a small coin held at arms length.
"It looked like a brilliant glowing fireball and looked like the underneath or belly of the object. It was circular in shape - the centre was a brilliant whitish glowing colour - and looked like its edges were on fire with flickering orange flames.
Sophie Dorken (12) and Emma Smith (13) were laying on the trampoline in Sophie's garden in Gedney Hill when they saw the mystery object above them at around 4pm.
Sophie's mum Esther said they came into the house quite bemused by what they had just seen.
Esther, of North Road, added: "They saw this little rugby-ball type shape and it was going very fast.
Brinkhill's UFO spotter Eric Goring, 68, visited the Louth Leader office again this week to show us these photographs he took on his camera.
He said: "I came across this little crop circle the morning after watching these lights in the sky. I have never seen this before on that hill and I know it very well. I have measured it and it's just over sixteen foot across.
A Wirksworth resident saw a mysterious vapour trail in the sky above Pittywood Road in the town.
The man, who did not want to be named, contacted the Mercury to describe his experience.
He claims a silent craft descended from high altitude at about 60 degrees and performed a loop very close to the ground before climbing back into the air at another 60 degrees.
Unsuspecting Colin Foster, 34, aimed his new digital camera at the winter scenery during a trip earlier this year.
He didn't spot anything unusual until he returned home from his backpacking tour and began checking the photos he had taken.
Colin said: "My girlfriend and I were looking through them when she grabbed my hand and said, 'Stop'.

Comment: Giving us "guidance" is how many "New Agers" and UFO fans see the interactions between our "space brothers" and humans.
