High Strangeness
A third generation dog trainer, Catriona was checking the skies for stars on Tuesday, February 3. She spoke to Gerry Ryan on Friday morning, in the hope that he and his listeners could provide some reasonable explanation for the two multi-coloured aircraft she witnessed fly overhead.
"It was Tuesday evening, shortly after six o'clock, and I was checking the skies," says Catriona.
They included cigarshaped craft, a spaceship with green, red and white lights that hovered opposite Parliament for 90 minutes and a big alien craft that landed on a man's house before flying off over Bristol.
In 2007 there were a mere 135 sightings above Britain.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: A ball of fire shot across the sky in front of my as I was walking down Shuswap Avenue in Chase, B.C. I was walking from west to east and the ball crossed my path going from south to north.
Last week a Wichita man was out taking pictures of construction sites for his job when he said he saw a low flying, black shiny object.
He said heard a sound like a fan whirring. He looked up and saw the object drop down and streak past faster than anything he ever saw.
The man does not want to be identified because he's too embarrassed that people might thing he's crazy.
Ufologists across the region have reported what they believe is an unprecedented rise in the number of unexplained events in the night sky.
Strange shapes and lights have been reported in several areas including locations near to sensitive military sites and nuclear power stations.
The most recent sighting came in Cumbria when there were reports of orange lights above the Irish Sea off the coast of Ravenglass, just a few miles from the Sellafield power plant.
A captain of an Olympic Airways flight (266) from Athens to London noticed a strange bright object following his plane-his sighting was then corroborated by the staff of two radar stations and observation towers on the ground, one being the control tower of the Athens Airport and the other being a Greek Air Force radar station in the mountains above Athens.
F-16 jets were scrambled to intercept the object.
The incident was kept secret for over a year until a number of Greek media outlets publicised the story based on leaked documents and testimony.
Now it can be revealed that the initial aviation authority report that documented this most interesting event and was brought to light by a number of Greek media outlets was mysteriously pulled off the web within days of being published and replaced by a heavily censored version!
On 11 October 2007 at 3:20am the captain of Olympic Airways flight 266 from Athens to London noticed an extremely unusual object moving erratically to the west of Athens. The object was somewhat star like in appearance however much brighter and larger with a constantly shifting shape.
The foam entered treatment plant No. 1 at 680 Ivy Ave., a press release said. The foam worked its way into the treatment facility's aeration basin. Because of the aerated mixing of this step in the treatment process, the foaming increased significantly.
