A UFO sighting over Holmrook is the latest in a spate of UFOs buzzing over Cumbria.
A mother and her 11-year-old son are the latest witnesses in a series of sightings over south-west Cumbria.
They spotted red lights near Sorrowstones Farm, Santon, near Holmrook early last week. North West UFO Research are investigating.
Lesley Aldridge was waiting with her son for the school bus at approximately 7.40 am. They were looking up the valley towards the Muncaster Fells. It was still dark on that cold, frosty morning in question and Lesley saw one "bright red light flying from east to west towards the Ravenglass coast."

Description: I went outside my house at 11:20PM to get something out of my car. I always look up at the night sky as a hobby and right above me, while I was facing north, I saw a very large amber colored skinny oval object moving silently from west to east. I am used to seeing these objects out here and I know they are UFO's, I watch each one regardless. This one looked to be about 1,000 feet up and judging from the height I would guess it was about as large as a house. I backed up to the street and watched it continue east until it faded away. Total time seemed like 5 minutes.

Canada's release of its UFO X-Files follows closely upon the release at the end of January of Denmark's UFO files. Britain continues to release thousands of UFO files through a program of gradual releases it began in May 2007 through its national archives with the most recent being on October 2008. The French Space Agency had earlier announced on March 22, 2007, that it was making public its secret UFO files through a government website.

The object was travelling at an incredible speed and crossed the sky in less than four minutes.
Mr Shen later described the captured image as a 'figure eight' and said he was aware of this variety of UFO photo. He said in fact this was an optical illusion and the UFO was in fact a single globe or saucer with one of the round halves being the body of the object and the other the consequence of its extra-ordinary speed. He noted that he had been studying UFOs for a decade and is certain this was not any sort of terrestrial craft or a comet claiming they would have produced different results in a photograph.

X-Files fan Lee Caldwell says he spotted a 'weird red light' flying low over the Leach Lane area on the evening of Friday, February 6.
He said: "I'm into space and physics and tried to dispute what I was seeing, but I couldn't. People might think it was a Chinese lantern, but it wasn't - it was moving far too fast and seemed to change shape.
"It definitely wasn't a plane either. It had this red glow and, although this sounds strange, looked like it had antlers. I'm still at a loss to explain what it was."
Lee's close encounter isn't the first time strange objects have been spotted hovering over the borough's skies.

The Toltecs and Aztecs refer him as Quetzalcoatl. The people of the Incas called him Viracocha. The Mayans called him Kukulcan. The Chibchas called him Bochica. The Aymara from Peru called him Hyustus. It appears that Quetzalcoatl must have had a fast flying vehicle that could take him from Mexico to Central America to South America. What kind of ship could transport a fair skinned god around the country like that?

The unidentified flying object was spotted by members of the public in different locations on Tuesday, February 10.
Spotters described it as a "fire in the sky" or alternatively as a number of orange lights.
A group of men spotted the "fire in the sky" over thew village.

I left and came back. I was gone about 30 minutes and upon entering the house the light was still there. Later (about an hour) my wife said while I was gone she went outside and seen this really bright light. (white) She watched it and it was staying in the same area. She then called my mother and father who were visiting, outside to see. My wife and I went back outside to look again after we talked the object was still there, but not as close so it didn't look so bright.
