High Strangeness
The most famous sighting in the past week was spotted near the Olympics opening ceremonies as the rockets flew over the crowd. This time, a Swiss couple, out to celebrate a national holiday, caught this object floating in the air as the crowd enjoyed the display.
The excited couple, chattering in their native tongue, seem to be more interested in watching this brightly lit object, which does not display normal aircraft running lights, than they do the fireworks show. The UFO is fairly far away, so even zooming in doesn't reveal much detail.

The reports were similar to that of a Finley man who said he saw three lights gliding slowly from Burbank west over the Columbia River, then heading north toward Kennewick.
An air traffic controller has said the object likely was a military aircraft, and a Port of Pasco employee who saw the lights said he's certain they were military helicopters.
However, Peter Davenport, director of the Spokane-based National UFO Reporting Center who earlier said the sighting was consistent with a commercial aircraft, said Thursday that his interest in the case is piqued.
The town's residents and the Outjo Town Council are baffled by the strange fire, which the local fire brigade has not been able to put out.
The Outjo town clerk, Joseph /Urib, warned people to stay away from the ash, which has caused burns to seven children, two donkeys and four goats.
Since the ash is grey and resembles gravel, the children went to play on it and burned their feet.
"We have been observing the gravel sand looking heap for the past three months, but have not taken it seriously until children and animals got burned. We thought that it was the remains of a fire that would eventually burn out," /Urib said yesterday.
The Finley man said he couldn't distinguish an actual shape. He only could see three lights spaced far apart gliding through the dark sky.
"If I had a word to describe it, it was massive," he said. "It was long."
Nelson's sighting is the second report of an unidentified flying object in the Tri-Cities this year, both appearing to come from the Burbank area.
The sighting comes at the end of a two-month span of increased reports to a Spokane-based UFO reporting agency and a week-and-a-half after crop circles were discovered near Grand Coulee Dam, about 150 miles north of Kennewick.
However, air traffic officials and a UFO expert said the unusual lights likely have a simple explanation.
Waverly Police said they were called to the century-old Emmitt House downtown after bones were found in the basement during a search by a medium and a group of experts in paranormal activity. The medium said she "sensed" the presence of bones at the historic hotel/restaurant, and then discovered them under some stones.
The Emmitt House -- which closed this spring -- has long had a reputation as a haunted building among workers and community members.
Bob Dixon, who owns a jewelry store across the street from the Emmitt House, said he is hesitant to believe in the spirits, but also said there are some credible people who claim they have had contact with ghosts on the property.
The pilot posted the sighting on UFO Stalker saying he was on approach to the airport from St Louis when he and his co-pilot noticed an unidentified object following their plane.
He described the object as 300 feet away from his plane, and was silver or gray in color with three blue or white lights on the bottom and one on the top. He said it was a disc-shaped craft with a low dome on top.
On Sunday, July 29, 2012, an unidentified person saw an unidentified flying object in the Woodbury sky and reported the UFO sighting on Ufostalker.com the next day:
I have to coin it as the Ajax Lorax, for, like Dr. Seuss's critter, the Lorax, does this cryptid speak for the trees?
An internet posting of the photos were uploaded by SuperRobotBlank under the headline, "Found while walking the dog in Southern Ontario."
Further questioning revealed that it was found in "a field next to my house for water overflow in the middle of standard suburbia. I would never have found it if my dog didn't sniff it out. This was like 2 - 2.5 feet long... That's definitely a good guess..."
What do you think the Ajax Lorax is?
