Description: I was at a dinner party in a flat in Sea Point in Cape Town. I went out on the balcony to take a telephone call and saw an extremely bright red/orange object high up in the sky which appeared to be coming towards us. It then moved side to side appearing to be hovering before upwards until it disappeared. Four of the other guests came out and saw it as well.

Description: The object was white, round and in between it kept changing to an orangish colour, it was also very high up in the sky. As soon as I saw the object I showed it to my wife and son who also witnessed the object. It was heading east and sometimes it remained still.

Description: Just appeared extremely high up in the sky. There were planes traveling too, leaving contrails, but these objects left no trail. They traveled out of my line of sight then came back to almost the exact same spot. I would like to know if anyone else saw them.

Description: My brother, a friend and I were outside looking up at the clouds as it had been raining heavily throughout the evening. The clouds started to thin a bit but on the edge of the cloud line, and I saw a single lit light flying west to east in the south sky of Peoria, IL area. I pointed it out to the other two.

It was an encounter of the blurred kind after strange orange UFOs were filmed hovering above Shoreham.

Karel Mc'Chambell told The Argus he spotted the UFOs while he was watching television with his 14-year-old daughter Kayleigh.

The pair, who saw two of the pulsing lights near Shoreham power station, then spotted another four just hours later.

Mr Mc'Chambell, 57, of Hillfarm Way, Southwick, said his daughter filmed the spectacle as the objects flitted across the night sky.

Description: As usual we were sitting outside star gazing. We usually see satellites. We had already seen two satellites tonight. I have seen the space shuttle, the ISS (International Space Station) and even the space shuttle undock from the ISS. I have seen comets, but this was none of the above. It was traveling about the speed of a "shooting star." It was traveling North. I could only tell that it looked like it may have been a large meteor close enough to the earth to reflect light down because it was dimly lit, but visible definitely. The shape was like a baseball park home plate. Although it could have just been the speed that made the illusion. It did appear that it was just above the atmosphere although there was no plane that was near to give an impression of a judgment in distance. It was visible for only 3 or 4 seconds and it didn't have the burn of a shooting star and remained on course out of sight. It was seemingly not losing altitude.

Description: I was walking upstairs with a cup of coffee to do late night work when I passed my window. I took a slow look at the stars with a deep sense of peace. I appreciate star gazing, but tonight there weren't many visible. (I live in a rainy and cloudy state and city.) What surprised me was a bright flickering light about 500 to 1000 feet away by the main road. My first thought was that it was a overpowered street light that was broken, but at closer observation I noticed it was higher than the trees in the area. (Believe me, evergreen trees can be very tall.) Then I noticed that it was way too bright, by far the brightest object in the sky. It had rapid strong flickering. It was so bright that you could not imagine, yet the area around was not affected by the light that much. It was switching from extremely bright and not so bright very fast and random. I was in shock and stood there in awe just gazing at it. Then all of a sudden it hit me I jolted several steps back and realized I was staring at a UFO for a very long time and was not too far from my camera, but my curiosity kept me still. Then it started moving. I instantly got exited and started thinking. IT IS A UFO, IT IS MOVING! WOW! WOW! I tried to focus in on it to get more detail, but it was too bright. The slow hover to the right was about a second or two when it stopped. I kept staring. Then all of a sudden it disappeared. In an instant, faster than a light switch. WAM! I was staring at empty space before I could realize it.

Description: First off there is a military near by, but my friends and I saw three without a doubt three balls of light flying together in a formation that did not make sense to us. Almost like they were trying to play tag with each other. I have been living next to the Salt Lake airport for close to 9 years now and I can tell you these WERE NOT AIRPLANES. They were moving very fast I guess covering about 25-50 miles in a second judging on the mountains they passed. They were circling, stopping and hovering. They would follow each other around at (if you saw it you would not believe it either) an unbelievable speed. I don't believe in UFOS, but what we saw was unexplainable. It gave me goose bumps.

Description: This morning at 3:30 AM I woke up. We were having a bad storm and it was thundering very loudly. I put the TV on and starting watching it. At I think it was around 4:30 AM I got out of bed because the whole house felt like it got hit by lightning. I went outside and it was very cloudy not a star in the sky. It was still thundering and started drizzling. I proceeded to go back in the house. I turned around. I don't know why I did and looked up in the sky. And there it was. It looked like a star, but it was red in the middle with white lights around it. The lights were narrow straight lines either 4 or 5 with the red light in the middle. The clouds were moving swiftly. I kept staring at it to be sure that I am really seeing this. Then I started walking in my pajamas at 4:30 am in the thundering drizzling weather trying to get a closer look. I don't understand that. I am then standing in the middle of the street just staring at this and waiting for it to move. It didn't budge. I felt like I was in a trance. It was really weird!

Location of Sighting: Camp Pendleton, California (About 40 MI SSE of Downtown Los Angeles)

Description: As I was driving to work on base Camp Pendleton I saw two stationary lights. One was further away almost in space, but just below it. The other one was helicopter level. I don't know the altitude, but I thought it was a helicopter. It couldn't be a plane. It was too close to the ground to be a plane, but as I kept staring at it I realized that at 04:20 in the morning the whole year I had been here I had never seen an aircraft fly around that early. The light that was closest to earth was changing colors. I can't explain it. I told someone else to look at what I was seeing. He was unsure at first, but then believed what I was telling him. I went to the office and asked my friends if they had a camera and told them as well what I saw.
