US: Disc-shaped Object Photographed at Griffith Observatory, California

I was taking pictures of the Hollywood sign and the Griffith Observatory. I had just parked my vehicle and was walking towards the Observatory and decided to snap a few shots of the building.

I didn't notice the object until I uploaded the pictures on my computer. That's when I noticed this odd shape in the sky in one of my pictures. I've posted two pictures.

The first one is where the object is to the right of the screen. The second was taken about a minute afterwards from a different angle.

Unknown Object Seen over Oshawa, Canada

I had a very strange sighting here in Oshawa quite recently - a real strange one. I thought to share this sighting that happened at exactly 12:07 AM, December 27,2009.

I was driving my youngest son's girlfriend home in Northeast Oshawa. I turned off Ritson north of Rossland - east into the neighborhood. As we drove through the street eastward, I could see a bright, intense, neon green sphere with outlines of bright white light moving over the roofs of homes some 20 ft above, or lower.

It moved like a bubble in water and was very slow and bright. The size looked small, but maybe bigger than a basketball. As I drove watching it, I was screaming out loud to the kids.

My son also witnessed it and he was NOT even wearing his glasses, as it was about hundred yards away. Witnessed for maybe about 4-5 seconds, as we drove by, we then lost sight of it.

Witness Statement: Myself and 3 friends were driving back from a new years eve party, we had been working and none of us had been drinking, as we were driving through the centre of Great Malvern near "The Mountpleasant Hotel" I noticed a strange orange ufo in the sky heading towards us. I stopped the car and we all got out to look at it. There were at least 2 pedestrians that saw it too. It was traveling from northeast to southeast, very fast (for a plane) but steady, it's direction didn't change while we were observing it. It was orange in colour and it looked like it might have been surrounded by flames as bits seemed to be dropping off it.

Witness Statement: I know, New years eve he's been on the plonk, but no I'm a taxi driver who was working over the New Year festivities in Barnstaple. I had a call to the Saunton Sands area to pick up 8 people. As I was crossing the New Barnstaple Bridge I became aware of what appeared to be a helicopter over on my right at about 1500ft. Thinking it was a police chopper doing ob's, I then looked around and counted 8 of these orange spheres at different flight levels & directions. They were not lanterns as they were criss/crossing. Not aircraft as they had no nav lights or helicopters as they were completely silent. I made my passengers aware of this sighting, anybody else in Barnstaple witness this?..........

Witness Statement: I have noticed some of your writing on UFOs in the past so, here's another one for you. Firstly, I did live in the low-flying area for almost 30 years so, I know what aircraft are like and have witnessed some odd manoeuvres before: nothing like this though.

Occurrence over Stakeford, January 1st time 00.05 until 0040. A neighbour was setting fireworks off so I went upstairs to get a better view. As they stopped I noticed an orange fluorescent light approaching from the north. As I had seen this 'light' on two occasions last week I grabbed my binoculars to take a look. I could not make anything out at all apart from the bright orange light. As the light passed overhead, about 1,000' to 2,000' the light diminished and I estimated that this was due to the light facing forward and downward, only a slight light directly downward. Through the binoculars I could only make out a dark shape, either side of the light; too indistinguishable to say what it was apart from that it was something dark and solid. At this point the light was disappearing into the glow of the moon so; it was more or less lost in the direction to the east of Newcastle. Easiest description of this light: it looked like and orange street-light in the sky.

Witness Statement: Observed several low flying orange balls flying slowly traveling east to west. They flew backwards and forwards sometimes at great speed and the brightness of the objects changed from a dull light to very bright. No sound was emitted and they weren't following recognised flight paths. They didn't have regular emitting strobes that all aircraft have. I would best describe them has glowing balls of fire.They were definitely not lanterns. There speed and course changes are not consistent with known aircraft..

Time: 12:10 to 13:20

Witness Statement: Having a cig just after the bells came in -looked at sky saw one orange globe traveling north to south globe then turned westward towards Blackpool airport traveling at speed. Then looked again and saw another two orange globes in the distance following but at height -too high to make out what they where they passed over head. I told friends who then witnessed more orange globes following different trajectories coming from east to west and at varied speeds. One came overhead slowly and lower that some on the others to the naked eye it seemed a black object triangular in shape noiseless it them suddenly sped off.

Witness Statement: I was watching TV at the top of the house on the second floor. I heard fireworks going off so I looked out of the skylight to see the fireworks. I can see 180 degrees from the skylight. I noticed there were lots of orange lights in the sky. I counted 13 at one time although there may have been more at other times. When the lights were nearer to the house they appeared extremely bright. Some of the lights moved some stayed in the same place for a long time. I went downstairs to collect the birdwatching binoculars(10×25).

Location of Sighting: Plano, Texas (Suburb About 15 Miles NE of Downtown Dallas)

Description: I was driving East on the George Bush Toll way just passing over Highway 75. I heard what sounded like a horn, (not unusual for being on a highway), but the dashboard compass in my Toyota FJ Cruiser started spinning. It went an entire 360 degrees plus. I'm surmising it was some magnetic anomaly passing overhead. I couldn't stop the vehicle as I was on a freeway, however, I did exit, reverse direction and came back on the freeway going Westbound. I had my IPhone Compass and my wife watched both compasses as we passed over the same area. There was a less noticeable displacement of approximately 30 degrees on both compasses, which would be consistent with something slowly moving away. I exited and came back Eastbound over the same area, but the phenomenon was gone and the compasses responded normally.

About 25 Miles East of Downtown New York City.
Date of Sighting: December 25, 2009
Time of Sighting: 6:30 PM EST
Location of Sighting: Long Island, New York

The witness called four days after his sighting occurred. I called him back the following day. The witness said that he originally reported the sighting to the police. The police were not interested and said that they had not received any other sighting reports on that night. The witness was quite upset during and after his sighting. He was too afraid to get out of car. He and his wife were traveling south on Landing Avenue. (See map above.) He saw bright blue lights behind street lights straight ahead. At that point the lights began approaching. He stopped his car to get a better look. He said that the object contained several very bright blue lights. Smaller lights surrounded the larger lights. He saw a large black mass between the lights. The object was moving right over the street lights northward on Landing Avenue. The object passed directly overhead. He said that the object emitted no sound.
