England: Witnesses see many white/red horseshoe-shaped object flying overhead

Location of Sighting: Worcester Park, Surrey
Date of Sighting: 1st January 2009
Time: 12.02 a.m.

Witness Statement: Dragged my mum outside to watch the New Years Eve fireworks. Could not believe what we saw. An object, not a firework, not a lantern, traveling too low for a plane and silently. Bright white/red, kind of horseshoe shaped. It was traveling in a firm direction which was not random so it was not a lantern. As it passed over our house in a Southerly direction more and more followed, like a wave of slow moving silent objects or craft, one after the other all following each other like a wave coming from different angles over the rooftops in our road.. These were not hovering or floating objects, these were moving with intention and uniformly Around 20 or more in all, with lights glowing.

Witness Statement: My father was sat at the dining table watching the television while my mother and I were watching tv in the lounge. My father then shot up out his seat calling us to the kitchen, stating that there was a huge light...going to the kitchen straight away we saw a huge Amber light flying SW to NE. My father being interesting in weather accurately stated that the wind tonight is a NW direction so any lantern/ balloon would be going the other way.

Time: 4 oclock ish

Witness Statement: My partner and daughter walked through our back gate, looked up and noticed a spherical type glowing orange object traveling above. I (her husband) was told and came out ide to take a look.The object disappeared and reappeared a few seconds later as a dark object with no lights or sound and was no way any plane or helicopter. The object seemed to be at high altitude but very large, big enough to see traveling across the sky as it was turning dusk, so the object could have been metallic but appeared black against the partly cloudy skies.

US: Texas couple near Stephensville watches triangle UFO under 300 feet

A Texas couple stopped their vehicle along Route I-20 north of Stephensville on January 2 as a triangle-shaped UFO moved overhead between 200 and 300 feet, according to witness testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

The witnesses were eastbound on I-20 at 7:40 p.m. when they noticed a bright object to their south. The pulsating object was producing red, green, and white lights. They pulled their vehicle over at the Exit 390 rest stop for a closer look.

The object disappeared, but they soon saw a second object coming toward their position - a triangle-shaped object was less than 300 feet off of the ground.

As the object moved directly overhead, they described it as "the shape of your typical triangle highlighter. The edges were very rounded. The tips of each end was a light. One side was solid green and the other side solid red. The front was a solid white. The white light was not very bright and I could see the contours of all the lights very clearly. It was not your typical bulb lights, but a solid and smooth light that was actually the ends of the triangle. Each corner of the triangle was a contoured light. However, the white light in the front of the craft did not cover the entire nose."

England: UFOs sighted in Oldland Common

A man from Oldland Common has reported what he believes were UFOs in the sky on New Year's Eve.

He said: "My wife and I were watching the fireworks going off for New Year's Eve and I saw this orangey/red flying object move swiftly across the sky.

"It then stopped and changed direction; at this point two more of these objects appeared and flew towards the other. They then all moved off in different directions steadily but swiftly.

"These lights were definitely not planes or helicopters as the movements were too smooth and the speed they changed direction was too fast.

US: UFO hovers over California 5 minutes before 'disappearing'

A California witness reported an "odd out of place" object in the sky that hovered for 5 minutes before disappearing, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

The witness also videotaped the event.

The report does not indicate where in California the sighting occurred, and few details are contained in the original report.

The video shows a stationary object, but does not show the object moving away.

The following is the unedited and as yet uninvestigated report filed with MUFON. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If California MUFON investigates and reports back on this case, I will release an update.

US: Triangle UFO hovers over Lake Erie

An Ohio witness lying on a boat pier at Lake Erie December 26 described a triangle-shaped UFO that hovered, moved slowly, and then disappeared, according to witness testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

The sighting lasted "several minutes" while the witness was talking on his cell phone.

The following is the unedited and as yet uninvestigated report filed with MUFON. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If Ohio MUFON investigates and reports back on this case, I will release an update.

Every culture has its own customs for welcoming the new year, and a widespread Cuban custom consists of hurling a bucket of water out the door or window to wash away "negative influences" from the previous year. Was a UFO captured during one such activity?

occurred near Hoeven: 21 simple rings, 1 tiny circle & 1 spiraled circle.
At around 11:30pm (Netherlands time) on the evening of December 17, 2009 I called my friend Robbert van den Broeke in Hoeven, and we talked until about 1:30 - 2:00 am (Netherlands time) about various things. Near the end of our conversation Robbert said he felt that some circles might be coming and I got the feeling that this was likely to occur before Christmas.

The next evening (Friday, Dec. 18th) at around midnight Robbert got a very strong feeling that a formation was arriving at the field not too far from his home which we call the "special" field (because so many anomalous events have occurred there over the years). He telephoned a local friend, Ellen Gomis, to ask if she would drive him to the field to see if a new circle was present, and Mrs. Gomis agreed. The temperature was about -10 degrees C and there was a 6-inch snow cover already on the ground.

When they arrived at the field around 1:00 am (now Saturday, Dec. 19th) Robbert immediately felt what he described to me as a peaceful, very still, "holy" feeling and heard what he could only describe as sounding like a choir of "angels singing" in the air above the field. I asked if Ellen heard this, too, but Robbert said "no" -- it was only he who heard the "singing." As they walked down from the dike they could both see multiple rings scooped out of the snow-covered field.

Australia: No simple flight of fancy 50 years ago

It is now 50 years since a 31-year-old Australian Anglican missionary in Papua New Guinea, William Gill, and 37 parishioners and staff made the best attested and least explained sighting of unidentified flying objects in the long, otherwise kooky history of the genre.

The day before the celebrated encounter of a mystifying kind, Gill had written a letter to David Durie, acting principal of St Aidan's College, which trained teacher-evangelists at Dogura, then the headquarters of the church in PNG.

Gill, who was priest in charge at Boianai, a large village on the mountainous north coast of Milne Bay province, about 25km west of Dogura, told Durie of a UFO sighting by Stephen Moi, then an assistant teacher.

He wrote: "There have been quite a number of reports over the months from reliable witnesses.

"The peculiar thing about these most recent reports is that the UFOs seem to be stationary at Boanai or to travel from Boianai," a beautiful location brilliantly captured by pioneer Australian photographer Frank Hurley in 1921. "I myself saw a stationary white light twice on the same night on April 9 . . . the assistant district officer, Bob Smith, and Mr Glover have seen it. I do not doubt the existence of these things, but my simple mind still requires scientific evidence before I can accept the from-outer-space theory. I am inclined to believe that probably many UFOs are more likely some form of electric phenomena or perhaps something brought about by the atom bomb explosions etc.
