US: Witness reports several UFOs over Wadesboro, North Carolina

A Wadesboro, North Carolina witness reports multiple unidentified objects in the sky over a 30-minute period on January 2, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

The witness was driving at the time and managed to take several images with her cell phone camera. A nephew of the witness, riding in the vehicle, was able to take additional photos, although those shots are not included with the report.

The father of the witness, a retired cargo plane and helicopter pilot could not identify the objects.

Wadesboro is in Anson County, south central North Carolina, population 3,552.

US: California couple considers odd events possible 'close encounter'

A California couple is reporting an odd series of events from the early morning hours of January 9 that they suggest may have been a close encounter, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness database.

The wife had gone to bed at 1 a.m., while the husband reports being outside smoking and "heard running/scattering on the side of our house. Then once inside he said he heard an odd breathing sound."

The husband retired to bed then at 4 a.m.

The wife woke to her 21-month-old son crying; and after checking on him, heard the stories from earlier in the evening from her husband. Then looking outside toward the nearby town of Magalia, she saw a "star" coming toward her home, which seemed to stop in the sky.

Magalia is in northern, California, Butte County, population 10,569.

US: UFO hovers silently 50 feet over treeline in Newtown, Pennsylvania

A Newtown, PA, witness watched a silent UFO just 50 feet over the treeline on January 9, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

Two hours later, "four choppers" in formation were in the area for about an hour.

The witness was driving along Manor Road at 1:32 a.m. on a clear night and stopped his vehicle after spotting "a row of lights that looked strange."

The lights were hovering 50 feet above a nearby treeline about "a few hundred feet" ahead. The witness got out of his vehicle for a better look.

As the UFO slowly banked to the right, all of the lights "faded as if it were going through a cloud, then 4 lights brightened. One on each wing tip and two, spaced, in the middle. "

While the exact shape of the object was not visible, the witness eventually was able to see the back side of the UFO, describing it as "red and white lights, this time in bars, flashing on and off like a laser light show. The configuration of those rear lights showed the back was a different shape. Like the rudder of a plane."

US: Orb-like UFO activity in same California region tracked over six months

A California witness is reporting a series of orb-like UFO activity over a ranch for the past six months, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

"They are definitely drawn to something here," the witness reports.

The witness additionally reports, "They seem to come in waves, appearing for five to six nights in a row and then gone, they are always at different altitudes and headings. They generally have a steady course and heading, I have on occasion seen them dip and back track, both I caught on film."

Similar accounts of orb-like UFO traffic are coming in from all parts of the country where the same witnesses are reporting activity over long periods of time.

Location of Sighting: Near Trysil, Norway (See Map)

Description: I was on my way in a car to a ski resort in Norway (Trysil) from Sweden before the sun had risen a object appeared ("faded in") in the sky. It was round white with a flat top and was glowing a bright white surrounded with a ring of red light. It just appeared in sky from nowhere very fast and 2 seconds later it faded out, but this time much slower and disappeared. It appeared over a mountain approximately 500 meters above the mountain top and approximately 5,000 meters ahead of my car. The skies were very clear that day so you could see for a large distance.

Witness Statement: Whilst waiting for someone standing pretty much outside my front door, I saw an incredibly large and fast flying object, flying straight in the sky, The speed it was traveling was amazing. It was like a very big low flying plane, with no sound whatsoever. However, there's no mistaking this for a plane, it was simply too huge and silent, had no lights at all, I'm actually surprised I saw it. It was like a grey outline, shaped like a roof from a child's drawing, except with grooves in the bottom, not the greatest description, I know, but the shape was pretty basic. Anyone seen anything similar at all?

Time: 5.15pm/5.23 pm approx

Witness Statement: I would just like to add information to my experience since witnessing 5 orange lights moving in sync in June 2009 on my way to London. Since my 5 orange lights sighting, I have suffered the most strange physical symptoms in my head to the right side mainly. Unpleasant pains and sensations, possibly or possibly not related to the orange lights event. Many unusual events have occurred since that sighting including (it would appear) being tracked by helicopters. Sounds paranoid I know, but it is a genuine observation and witnessed always by my American(sane) friend, so I'm not alone in that observation. There does appear to be lulls in activity though. Sometimes they appear really close to the flat I rent in Reading Berkshire, really close. It appears no matter where I go (literally), there is a copter close by, sometimes ridiculously close by, even when I visited Wales.

US: Oklahoma witness reports UFO coming out of 'worm hole'

An Oklahoma witness reports an unusual appearance of what seemed to be a wormhole opening up and a light moving out of it, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

The December 31 incident occurred as the witness was watching the rising full moon - but stated that "off to the right of the moon there appeared to be a darker place which was like a circular void. "

Within the void, a large "X" of light appeared. This light began to spin, then a "lit cloud tube extended" from that area. Then, "a tiny blip of light came out, which moved out a distance from the point of origin and then disappeared."

The existence or non-existence of UFOs is a captivating subject for anyone. Some claim having seen them in the skies, up close and personal. Others claim having taken chance photographs during any time of the year. However, experts claim that summer is more prone to reports of sightings, and therefore, more cases could occur.

One such expert explained how the phenomenon comes about to 24Con. The first sighting of the year was in Vicente López.

This confirmation comes from Luis Burgos, director of the Fundación Argentina de Ovnilogía (FAO): "We make evaluations every year and we forecast what may occur statistically, according to past performance," he said, adding that the phenomenon changed over time, as a greater number of cases were reported in the '60s and '70s, although this was corrected in recent times.
