Four Unknowns Disappear over Nevada Skies

I stepped out onto my balcony and noticed a bright object tracking from east to west in the northern sky. I noticed a steady, fairly bright light, at first I thought it was a satellite but it was too low and too slow.

I watched it for approximately 1 minute before it split into a total of 4 objects. The 3 new objects moved at the same speed, diverged from the primary at equal angles and slowly grew farther apart from the first object seen.

Time of Sighting: Between 3 and 4 PM PST
Location of Sighting: Hacienda Heights, California (See Map)

Description: These photos were taken while visiting a friend. I believe the mountains in the background are the San Gabriel mountains. I am not sure what the objects are. Nothing was seen flying around when the photos were taken. In photo 1 the object is near the center top of photo. The enlargement is also displayed. In photo 2 the objects are located on near the top left corner. The enlargement is also displayed. Note: I thought they might be birds. After closer observation it seems the objects are shaped like a triangle.

Witness Statement: Unbelievable! Cant believe what I just saw, I was just pulling the blind down in my daughters bedroom (in the dark with NO light on) . At first I thought it was a fast plane but immediately changed my mind when I saw a spinning affect, the colours red green & blue was spinning round. It was really fast ,then slowing down to a near standstill, then shot off a speed. I have never seen any aircraft so close to were we live - I cant be the only person to have seen this. I am so convinced to what I saw & have never given UFO's a second thought before.

Witness Statement: I was in bed last night looking at the lovely view of the sky through my french doors. It was a very clear night. In the distance I could see an object which I immediately thought was a star twinkling. as I was looking at it, it started flashing randomly, I could see red, blue, yellow, orange and green lights flashing randomly and very quickly, as if the object was spinning. I thought it was probably a satellite as it was such a clear night. It started moving at what seemed a constant speed, but then changed direction,. and looked as if it was 'darting' (like a dragon fly).

A bright cloud over the ocean, captured by a terrified guard with her cell phone, will be among the recent cases of UFO sightings discussed and debated over by Chilean scientists and authorities at the tourist city of Viña del Mar, where there the "UFO Bicentennial: 200 years of sightings" conference will be held.

The recording, captured in February 2009 in Puerto Montt (1,080 kilometers south of Santiago), shows a possible UFO, and Chilean image analyst, Marcelo Moya, believes it is one of the three most important records in recent times in his country.

UFOs are commonly reported in Chile, and as such the government has decided to re-establish it's 'Committee for the Study of Anomalous Aerial Phenomena (CEFA)', as a department under the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, for analysis of UFO footage from a scientific perspective.

In the strange world of the unexplained, Scotland is perhaps best known for the legend of the Loch Ness Monster. But more than 30 years ago, the highlands of Scotland was also the scene of an extraordinary close encounter.

On the morning of Nov. 9, 1979, forester Robert Taylor parked his pickup truck on the side of the road near Livingston, Scotland. He worked for the Livingston Development Corp. and was there to check out some saplings in the nearby forest. Taylor could not reach the forest by truck so he and his dog walked along one of the footpaths that wound its way up the side of nearby Dechmont Law Hill, according to a Web site.

Upon entering a clearing, Taylor was startled to see what he later described as a large, circular object, shaped like a sphere and approximately 20 feet in diameter. It was hovering above the forest floor. The weird object had a narrow rim running along its circumference. A series of stems topped with propellers were sticking out of the object along its rim. The UFO's surface seemed to be constructed from a dark metallic material which appeared to be transparent in certain places.

Location of Sighting: Modesto, California (See Map)

Description: I saw two neon blue objects hovering for a long period of time. One was higher than the other and had a purple red tint to neon blue. It was in a spherical shape and was occasionally dimming then reappearing. The other was a distinct neon blue hovering over northeast Modesto. Many people stopped to look. I am not crazy. but I think these were UFOs.

Note: We have received several sightings from California in 2010. A few of these sightings are related, but most do not show any relationship.

Time: 10:15pm

Witness Statement: I was walking back from my friends house, with my boyfriend. We were walking through a back field which is a short cut to my house.

I'm pregnant so was unable to have a drink, so being pissed is not an explanation for what we saw.

At first I thought it was some kids fooling about trying to scare us.

Anyway. my boyfriend complained of dizzy spells, which has never occurred before. He said he felt light headed. I just thought it might be the drinks he had had that night. So we stopped to let him have a sit down. As he was sat down with his head between his knees I was just carelessly looking around when a shadow ran across the field about 20 metres in front of me. It ran into a bush that separated two fields from one another.

Witness Statement: I was in the garden,(having a cigarette) looked up and saw what I thought was a flight of geese..but I then realised that they were five white lights, in a triangular formation, traveling very fast from north to south. The lights were constant, not flashing,and absolutely no sound. I would estimate that it was about 500 feet above me. I watched until it was out of sight.

What are we to make of these photos of so-called "invisible UFOs" (anomalous objects not apparent to the photographer at the time the photo was taken)?

On the one hand, they are held up as proof of alien visitation; on the other, decried as blurry shots of local avian life. Only one thing is for sure: we haven't seen the last of such images.
