Round saucer with bright lights circiling around it

My wife and I were loading our kids into her car. She pointed to the sky and stated to me what's that. I looked up and saw a round craft with white lights going around the craft in a circular motion. The disk was flying low and emitted no noise. The object had a continuous small red light on top of it. The object was moving slow and I lost it in the trees. My wife sketched what she saw the next morning and what she sketched was a picture of saucer which you see in the movies. We were very confused and mesmerized by this event. Never seen such a thing.

Location of Sighting: Costa Mesa, CA.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Round.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: While traveling south on Newport Blvd. at 18th Street in Costa Mesa, California, we saw straight ahead a bright white circular object rapidly fall from about 30 degrees above the horizon to a point approximately 3.8 degrees to the west on the horizon. The fall lasted approximately one second.

Comment: This is similar to the sighting by another person on the same date in close proximity of time.

Shape of Objects: Ball-like.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was outside having a cigarette late last night and saw 2 very bright orange lights. The weather conditions were very clear and there were no clouds.

I looked up and saw 2 very bright orange balls of light moving northwards. To start with, they kept an equal distance from one another, although as they were both moving in the same direction. They got closer and closer. They almost seemed to collide, but one kept moving north, whilst the other seemed to "peel-off" and move northeast. I watched them for probably 5-10 minutes before I lost sight of them behind other houses.

I was looking up to see if anyone else saw what my mom and I saw last night (Feb 14, 2010) just before 7:00 PM, and I found your website, http://unitedstatesufo.blogspot.com/

On your site was described the same sort of thing that we saw. (My grown son, who was with us, did not see it from the back seat in time when we pointed it out, as it only lasted 2-3 seconds.) Also the little thumbnail pictures looked like it looked, sharply descending but in the opposite direction from our point of view, looking south.

Hundreds of UFO sightings by Britons, including one who developed a skin condition after a supernatural encounter, emerged in files which also show Winston Churchill's interest in the issue.

The most unusual of the newly declassified Ministry of Defence files tells how a man in Ebbw Vale, south Wales, claimed his car was surrounded for five minutes by a "tube of light" in 1997.

The man, who reported the incident to police, was sick the next day and also developed a mysterious skin condition.

"First sighting seemed like a massive star moving towards the car," the previously top secret police report said.

"Having stopped the car and switched the lights off, the light encircled the car, remaining for perhaps five minutes.

"[The man] was able to walk through the light which was very bright. There was no sound, no aircraft or helicopter noise, and besides feeling ill [he] was very frightened."

Description: I saw a bright green, (almost neon) circular light that appeared to be hovering in the sky when I first noticed it. After intently watching, I noticed a strange pattern in it's motion of travel. It would invariantly hover, move in an 'up-down' motion, and in a zigzag formation. After approximately ten minutes of first sighting it and monitoring it's behavior and characteristics, it literally vanished in thin air. I was starring at it, watching it, and then 'boom' it was gone.

Location of Sighting: Mesa, Arizona (See Map)

Description: Last night four of us watched a strange looking vehicle of some sort in the sky which had only red lights. It was flying quite low and we could hear no sound. For a couple of minutes it sort of wafted, then changed directions and came toward us for a while. It then turned the other way and shot off. The bright red light turned to a pinpoint of light in a micro-second and then just disappeared. We stood there for quite a while and it never appeared again. The sky was as usual totally clear.

Witness Statement: I was visiting my family's for Sunday lunch and was in the back garden and saw 2 black disc /round shaped objects each with a red/orange light that seemed to move about the crafts from top to bottom, and on either side. They were both silent and changed direction.

Witness Statement: I was taking the dog for a walk, on the fields, it was just starting to get dark, you can usually hear planes around there anyway, I looked up into the air and there was an orange glow, at first I thought it was a plane or a chinese lantern but it made no sound, and then all of a sudden the glow just disappeared and turned into a grey object and it moved east towards the landmark White Nancy and I followed it for about 5 minutes until a point where I couldn't see it anymore.

Time: 10.35pm

Witness Statement: Large red diamond (like a pyramid with another one inverted below it). There was a huge white light glowing brightly on each of the two lower sides I could see and I had the impression that there were similar lights in the same positions on the upper ones but they were either much dimmer or off. The shape was surrounded by an orange glow and it moved at a uniform speed in a gentle climb silently towards a direction just North of East. It appeared in the sky from the direction of Strathaven and moved towards St. Leonards where it disappeared into the cloudbank.
