I saw a solid light much brighter than stars on a clear night around 8:00 PM, March 13, 2010. I saw the light in the sky to the northeast. The light was seen at about 25 degrees off of the horizon, but I could not determine distance. The light appeared to be moving very slowly to the east. The color was white, with no change in luminosity or color. After about 5 to 7 seconds of observing light, the light gradually, but rapidly accelerated toward the east. As it did so, the luminosity diminished quickly. After about 4 seconds acceleration time the object was no longer visible. I then went inside of house for about 2 minutes and came back outside and looked toward sky again. The object (light) was not visible. Suddenly, appearing at about the same place as where the light was initially observed, a bright light (maybe two to three times brighter than the original light) appeared for about a second, almost like a flash and then disappeared. No photos or video were taken. The size of the light/object was not discernible.

It has captured images of swearing Suffolk folk, picturesque county beauty spots, a giant invading bug - and now Google Street View appears to have snapped a UFO hovering over Orford Castle.

The image, spotted by reader Adrian Chambers, shows what looks to be a dark circular shape suspended in the air near the famous landmark.

It can also be spotted hovering above the village as one takes a virtual wander down Castle Hill road.

Street View went live for most of the country last week after a year of work to capture 360-degree images using car-mounted cameras across the UK.

Is it the power of the pen, the power of suggestion or the promise of anonymity that produced the latest rash of reports of Bigfoot sightings in Fayette County?

An article about a Bigfoot sighting north of Uniontown by a woman who wished to remain anonymous was published in August. Her account was investigated by members of the Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society and researcher Stan Gordon of Greensburg, perhaps best known for his investigation into an alleged 1965 UFO crash in Kecksburg in Westmoreland County.

Following the publication of the article, Eric Altman, director of the Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society, reports that he has received phone calls about eight additional Bigfoot sightings in Fayette County, four of which were clustered around Dunbar.

"We also had a fifth second-hand report of a teen boy who is alleged to have seen a creature following him through the woods in the Dunbar area while he rode his quad," said Altman, 39, of Jeannette. "The boy is said to be so shook up by the incident that he doesn't want to be interviewed and was so frightened he won't go back to the area."

Altman claims that Fayette County seems to be quite an active area for Bigfoot sightings, based on the inordinate number of calls he has received over the past six months. Besides the Dunbar sightings, two have been reported in the Jumonville area, one in Confluence and one in Connellsville.

"Since the name of the witness in the newspaper account was kept confidential, I feel that people experiencing the same phenomena are now more comfortable and are coming forth to tell their stories," he said

Witnesses at locations in Pennsylvania and Northern Virginia seem to be describing the same sphere-shaped object in the sky on March 17, 2010, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Witness reporting database.

The Pennsylvania witness was near Berwick on Route 93 traveling south when the sphere "simply materialized."

"What amazed me was that as it materialized it had a white aura around it that quickly dissipated," the witness stated.

The second witness "spotted a silver sphere streak through the sky at an estimated distance of half a mile and several hundred feet off the ground."

A Pennsylvania witness near Philadelphia is reporting seeing green-blue flashes of light that cover the sky above him, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

The 28-year-old from Bucks County in southeastern Pennsylvania has seen the sky light up like this several times in the past.

The witness telephoned the UFO Examiner - who urged him to file a report with MUFON so that the experience can be studied with the wider body of evidence collected over time.

"It illuminates the sky for not even a couple of seconds," the witness stated, "it can repeat, but there is no consistency to how it occurs. The one night I reported it may have been the fourth or fifth time it has happened. "

A Mesquite, Texas, witness reports a slow moving rectangular-shaped, black craft at 500 feet with 4 dim red lights that appeared to be one dimensional on February 16, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

"I would never have known this thing was above me if I didn't look up," the witness stated.

Mesquite is a city in Dallas and Kaufman County, population 124,523.

Two Michigan witnesses watched a group of "six or seven yellow circular lights in a row diagonally near the horizon" hover and then disappear, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

They watched this type of activity in the sky repeatedly through about 8:30 p.m. along a road near Boyne City.

"They were not always in the same exact location but did stay in the southeastern sky and were always close to the horizon," the reporting witness stated. "No way of telling for sure, but they appeared to be a couple miles away which would have made their actual size very large. The lights did not move once they appeared, but would hover in place until their disappearance. I spoke to a neighbor who has said that he has seen the same thing in the southeastern sky before."

Boyne City is a city in Charlevoix County, population 3,502.

A North Carolina witness is reporting an unusual "third" object in the sky operating near two conventional jets on March 6, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

"I noticed they (the jets) were flying rather erratically, the witness stated. "Then I saw a third object emerge - this one had no vapor trail."

The third object did not show up on either of the two images submitted to MUFON by the witness.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I went out onto my patio because I heard a military chopper flying over (I am under Moffit Fields Air Base flight path), and I wanted to see it, because it sounded like it was flying faster than usual for them. I looked over in the direction of the AFB and saw a white circular light hovering and around moving in different directions.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was outside my home on a semi cloudy night when I witnessed 4 orange lights approaching in the sky, not very high, quite close, but obviously individual. The lights were sort of in a line, coming from the west, Southport direction. I assumed they were military helicopters flying in convoy, but as they approached, I waited for the associated noise from this kind of craft, but the night was silent.
