US: Bright lights over Louisiana seem to 'jump' across sky

Bright lights over Louisiana on March 22, 2010, seemed to morph in shape and jump from one part of the night sky to another, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

The reporting witness describes events from two different nights, recounting the experiences of a friend.

"He describes them as a car shape and sometimes it would 'morph' into a ball or Teardrop or Ice cream shape," the reporting witness stated. "They were so bright that he could pick them up on his video camera on his cell phone."

The following is the unedited and as yet uninvestigated report filed with MUFON. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If Louisiana MUFON State Director Karen Bravata investigates and reports back on this case, I will release an update.

US: Two waves of sphere UFOs move over Albuquerque, New Mexico

Witnesses in Albuquerque, New Mexico, watched a series of orange spheres move across the night sky on March 21, 2010, that appeared to fly in a V formation, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

The first round of four objects was in sight flying north to south over the city for about 20 seconds and appeared to be at about 2,000 feet.

"They moved fast making left to right shifting moves, yet they stayed even in their south to north motion," the reporting witness stated. "The objects made zero noise and were round and from what we could see were sphere in shape."

About 15 minutes later, a second wave of objects came into sight.

"I would estimate the amount to be from twelve to twenty orangish spheres in a pattern this time and seeming to be at the same height as the other four and moving in the same direction from South to North. The spheres were in a "V" pattern and all moving at the same rate of speed."

The pattern of the objects was described as similar to a "flock of geese," which is the same description used by other witnesses in 2009 from other sightings.

US: New York I-90 travelers have close encounter with triangle UFO

New York witnesses driving along an I-90 on-ramp watched a triangle-shaped UFO slowly rotating in the sky for nearly a minute before it moved quickly out of sight on March 20, 2010, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

The witnesses stopped their vehicle after realizing that the object was neither a helicopter or a stealth fighter as it was moving so slowly.

"The bottom had lights on all three corners, a little dimmer light in the center, and small rectangular lights that looked like vents around the bottom," the reporting witness stated.

As with most cases of a sighting at close range, the object moves away from the scene rapidly.

"I turned my head as it reached the top of the trees to see if the truck coming in the opposite directions was seeing it as well, when I turned my head back I saw a zip of light and it was gone. "

England: Four witnesses see a yellow/orange light that appears to be on fire

Location of Sighting: Walton Avenue, Middlesbrough, England.
Number of witnesses: 4
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Round/Oval.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My three friends and I were hanging out nearby one of my friends house at about 10:20pm, when all of a sudden one of my friends was speechless and pointing at something in the sky. The object we saw was a yellow/orange and appeared to be on fire. At first we thought it was an airplane or a helicopter, but there was no sound and it continued to come closer.

On Saturday night, March 20, 2010 there was a group of around 10, 11 lights in Knightswood. They were circling around then going into a diamond shape. It lasted about 10 minutes.

Location of Sighting: 38*25'08.10n/ 78*48'07.70w.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Irregular doughnut, large as a house.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: While my friend and I were traveling west on Route 33 just east of Harrisonburg Va. We noticed what looked like a giant irregular shaped object that looked translucent. We observed the object from about half a mile. We pulled over to the side of the road to watch, as a few other cars were doing as well. The object was big as a house and had a golden glow. There seemed to be a hole in the middle of the object.

Sacramento UFO sightings on the rise?

Are UFOs taking a closer look at Sacramento? Local groups that track possible UFO sightings said there have been several interesting sightings lately.

According to Ben Stoecker, the contact person for the Sacramento chapter of the Mutual UFO Network, there's definitely something going on.

"There's a phenomenon, or perhaps several phenomena, that we don't even begin to understand," Stoecker said. "Maybe they are Pleidians, or whatever, from another planet, or from Mars, even."

Stoecker looked at a video of a possible unidentified flying object sighting in the foothills and said there are many possible explanations for some of the more unusual sightings.

"Maybe they're objects built right here by some group on Earth or by our own government," he suggests.

Northern Ireland: UFO fever sweeps city

More Journal readers have come forward to report strange goings-on in Derry's night skies.

In the latest sighting a Derry man, who does not wish to be named, said he saw "a bright orange light followed by a small white dot" in the sky over Bishop Street at around 8:15pm on Saturday. He said the light moved at such speed and in such a fashion that it could definitely not be a plane, nor Chinese lanterns.

"It was like nothing I have ever seen before," he told the Journal, " it was a baffling sight."

Saturday night's sighting of strange phenomena over Derry is just the latest eyewitness account of strange phenomena in the skies.

Last week Journal carried that story of an eyewitness who saw "a traffic light red object ,shaped like a stealth bomber." More star gazers have now come forward.

It emerged from a blazing light in the clouds, descending on a busy street before zipping off silently into the sunset.

Just what - or who - propelled the strange flying disc across Sydney's skyline may never be known.

But while the close encounter was over in seconds, it was enough to convince mother-of-two Fiona Hartigan that she'd just seen a UFO.

And she has the photos to prove it.

Ms Hartigan yesterday said she had just got out of her car on Sunday evening to snap a few sunset photos when the amazing events began.

"As I was about to take the picture this black object appeared and then it started to move," she said.

"It started off about 800m away but it came closer - to about 400m - and then two other little round things appeared from this bright orange light above.

Description: My friend and I were skateboarding home from school. I looked up and beyond an airplane in the sky was another object. I showed my friend and we watched it for a few seconds. Then three more identical objects appeared. They were VERY high up. We stopped in the middle of walking traffic to observe them. Another man started watching as well. They moved very slow and steady and close to one another. Then they began strobing a solid color. I am color blind so I can't identify the color. I can't say what they were exactly, but they looked like metallic balls. I have never seen anything like them. Pretty cool.
