US: Veteran naval aviator describes teardrop-shaped UFO over Old Monroe, Missouri

A veteran naval aviator and his wife watched a teardrop-shaped object with amber lighting on the sides and red lights on the nose, top, and tail, move over Old Monroe, MO, on April 16, 2010, with behavior no aircraft could accomplish, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

"I am a 14 year veteran of Naval Aviation with over 5000 hours in type aircraft (P3B/CUII Orion) and I know aircraft behavior," the witness stated. "No aircraft I know of can change direction this abruptly and cover that much distance in such a short period of time."

The couple first observed the object over Old Monroe.

"The object then covered the distance between Old Monroe and Moscow Mills in approximately 5 seconds while abruptly taking an upward attitude, then disappearing instantly."

Old Monroe is a city in Lincoln County, population 250, on the east side of central Missouri.

US: Red beam of light and 30-foot UFO reported over Methuen, MA

A Massachusetts witness and 14-year-old daughter traveling west on Route 13 in Methuen on April 18, 2010, watched a red beam of light coming from the clouds to the ground and immediately after noticed a bright white object at an altitude of 2,000 feet, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON)

The witness estimates the white object was approximately 30 feet wide and heading west.

The beam of light was the size of the witnesses' pinky finger held at arm's length.

Metheum is in Essex County, population 43,789, in northeast Massachusetts.

The following is the unedited and as yet uninvestigated report filed with MUFON. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If New England MUFON State Director Steve Firmani investigates and reports back on this case, I will release an update.

US: Wisconsin driver looking to explain unusual object in photo

While it's not recommended to operate a vehicle and take pictures at the same time, a Wisconsin driver snapped a photo traveling west on Highway 21 near Auroraville and captured an object he'd like an explanation for, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

"I was using a Canon A1000IS which is usually very fast to focus and snap photo's," the witness stated. "In this one instance when I pressed the shutter release there was about a full second of delay and then a bright flash of light filled the inside of my truck and then the camera captured the photo."

Looking at the photo later, the witness comments that "it doesn't look like any type of aircraft that I've ever seen."

Any ideas out there?

US: Pennsylvania MUFON investigators capture triangle UFO on camera

A Pennsylvania Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) Chief Investigator and State Section Director out investigating a UFO sighting with a witness at two locations captured on camera a triangle-shaped object at the first location and witnessed an "arc-like, crescent-shaped light that glowed pinkish-red" at the second location, according to testimony from the MUFON witness reporting database.

Pennsylvania MUFON Chief Investigator Bob Gardner said that he and State Section Director Michael "Doc" Melton concluded that the triangle object was "a solid object, cloaked, but with enough physical substance left to pick it up on this camera, 12.1 megapixel, and obviously sensitive to both UV and IR spectrum."

Both Gardner and Melton are based in the Philladelphia metro area. The triangle sighting area was an "old farm site" in the region.

The two were taking photos of the horizon and later noticed orbs in the image and the triangle-shaped light.

US: UFO picks up Laconia, New Hampshire car with teens and drops 180 feet away

Two New Hampshire teenagers sitting in a parked car were approached by a black-colored UFO in Laconia on March 20, 2010, lifted into the air and then dropped back onto pavement 180 feet away, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

MUFON New England State Director Steve Firmani confirmed his investigation of the case today by telephone and said witness interviews had been completed.

The 18-year-old girl and 16-year-old boy both offer testimony about their encounter.

The two used the girl's mother's car and went to a Laconia destination that has not been released.

"We were just sitting there and I looked up at the moon," the female witness stated. "I saw this weird black-shaped object. And then, I said to my boyfriend, 'What was that?'"

US: College physics teacher describes close encounter with silent triangle UFO

A California college physics teacher watched a triangle-shaped UFO that came within several hundred feet and then silently moved away at 9 p.m. on April 15, 2010, in Ventura, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

The instructor first heard a screech sound, then watched the object move quickly across the sky.

"At first it looked like it was a large bird high in the air as the front and two sides were heavily darkened against the mostly dark sky," the witness stated. "It was moving toward me and over a period of about 2 seconds it became clearer and resembled a hang-glider. It was descending and moving toward the east and seemed to be gliding smoothly, making no sound that I could hear."

The witness then described the object as it reached its closest point.

US: Triangle object with border of lights reported over Idaho

An Idaho witness watched a triangular-shaped object "with a border of lights that seemed to flash" in the night sky on April 15, 2010, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

While the border was visible, the witness could not make out the body.

"The center was not lit up and couldn't tell if it was solid or open," the witness stated. "It was so much larger and brighter than anything else in the sky that I noticed it as soon as I began viewing the night sky."

The witness observed the object several times during the evening and commented that it appeared to be 50 times the size of a passing plane.

"This time I noticed an aircraft flying below it and could compare sizes somewhat. The triangular object was much larger, perhaps 50 times larger."

US: Charter pilots spot fast moving UFO over Georgia skies

A charter company pilot and co-pilot watched a high altitude bright light move "tremendously fast" across the Georgia night sky on April 16, 2010, in "less than 10 seconds," according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

They thought that it might be a meteor.

"Except that it was pulsing on and off like a rheostat light switch," the reporting witness stated. "The light would dim and un-dim quickly. No flashing on or off like a beacon or strobe. The whole thing would dim to nothing in about a half second then un-dim in about a half a second. I felt immediately that it was man-made or at least not a natural object. The pulsing was very regular in timing, and its speed was very constant since the distance traveled in between pulses was the same."

They lost sight of the object at the 11 o'clock position.

"We lost sight of it about 11 o-clock high as it pulsed off and did not pulse on again."

Background Report: UFOs in the Dominican Republic

Although this article has appeared elsewhere (Tim Swartz's excellent "Conspiracy Journal") it might serve as a good background paper for those readers who may be unaware of the rich history of UFO sightings and encounters with non-human creatures in the Dominican Republic, particularly in the light of the recent and spectacular sighting of an unidentified triangular craft.

On August 29, 2005, Carlos Peña, an engineer from the Dominican Republic, witnessed an object he described as a "black UFO" flying at an estimated altitude of a thousand to three thousand meters (calculated by the object's flight between two different cloud strata). "The object was traveling from West to East and its shape was hard to describe," said the engineer in his report. "I was unable to define its shape, but I believe it was something [...] like the alleged "flying humanoids" seen in Mexico over recent months. I cannot relate it to any other object, such as balloons, birds, airplanes, etc. on account to its very strange shape."

Guillermo Gimenez and Liliana Núñez have alerted us this morning to a curious image of an alleged triangular UFO that was captured on a cellphone or camcorder by residents of La Vega in the Dominican Republic.

According to reports, the event occurred around 20:30 hours on Friday, April 16, 2010 and startled residents of Villa Francisca II with its maneuvers. The object reportedly flew over homes, later remained static, and was described as "a UFO" by the news media. The object suddenly vanished after rotating in place for a number of minutes.
