Blinding UFO appears over Chengdu, China

Mr. Zhang, a citizen of Chengdu, saw an unidentified flying object was flying in the air between 8:40 p.m. to 8:50 p.m. and took its picture with his camera on the night of April 18, Chengdu.

According to Mr. Zhang, the UFO had blinding white lights but did not make any noise. It was suspended in the air for few minutes and accelerated to move in a speed slower than flight, and it disappeared at about 8:51.

Reporters had learned from an observatory that a meteorological sounding machine would usually flies at 8 o'clock in the morning and evening, but the UFO does not appear to be shaped the same as the sounding balloon.

Date of Sighting: 20th April 2010
Time: approx 4am

Witness Statement: Woken early, couldn't get back to sleep, from my bedroom window I saw a blackish saucer shaped object in the sky with a bright orange light (like a street light)at the base of it. The object was not moving as fast as a plane / helicopter (and current situation no flights anyway). The light would then get covered over for a few seconds then re-appear. It moved slowly (from the Liverpool direction towards Manchester) then as it flew over my house I could hear a humming / buzzing noise.

Time: 1.25pm

Witness Statement: While standing outside my back door today, looking out towards the m62, I glanced a silver "tube" shape in the sky traveling in a NW to SE direction. I was puzzled by this since the skies have been so quiet since the eruption in Iceland. On closer inspection, I noticed the object had no "wings," almost like a missile! And I could hear a faint "humming" sound coming from it. It passed into a cloud and I waited for it to emerge to have another look at it, but unfortunately that was the last I saw of it.

Time: approx 10.45pm

Witness Statement: I came home from work and I was looking at the stars when I came across red blue and green lights on some sort of craft. I assumed it was a plane as I could not hear the noise of a helicopter, however it was pointed out to me by my friend there are no planes flying due to the volcano. The craft was completely silent, it looked fairly large and the lights alternately flashed. It also appeared to be followed by some sort of very dim beam which grew smaller towards the end of it's length. I would be interested if anyone else could relate to this sighting or identify it as a known flying object.

Witness Statement: My wife and I were walking our dogs when we saw what we thought was a plane/bird to and frowing in the sky. I noticed it was traveling far faster then any plane I have ever seen with strange movements that no plane could make. It was then that we noticed another object joined it of exactly the same shape, which was a triangular shape, they came from the west flying eastward across the Heathrow flight path at a great speed weaving all the while and no engine noise what so ever. They looked silver reddish to me. I would love to know if anyone else saw them.

Witness Statement: Firstly let me say this sighting has taken place during the volcano ash problem when ALL UK and most European flights are grounded by National air traffic service.

I have seen this same light 3 times now over a year, and twice in the last 2 months.
Always the same, an orange glowing light moving at varying rates of speed. Last whilst driving home myself and my friend saw if through the car windscreen heading north (we traveling towards Sandhust direction), quite high in sky and then we lost it as it passed over us. Arrived home a few minutes later and spotted it again lower in the sky, looking north again. The glow changed and it raised in height slightly, we got out the car and stood in the road watching it for a good minute. It seemed to get closer, then rapidly faded into the night sky. The sky was clear as we could easily see night stars. Again let me say there was NO air traffic due to the no fly zone in place. I am a former pilot and have a long interest in aviation, this object is no normal plane / helicopter, neither a chinese lantern object.

Witness Statement: My fiance first noticed the light coming over a neighbours house roof. When I looked I saw a strong red light traveling East over the roofs of the houses but quite high. I went to stand in the garden for a while to watch it. This red light was solid, not flashing and traveled above my head then just disappeared. There was no sound and no cloud. Whilst standing outside quite a while hoping to catch another sight of it I did see two chinese lanterns going with the South wind direction. The two red lights we saw were definitely not lanterns and were traveling in a completely different manner and direction.

US: 'Slender triangle UFO' seems to follow traffic along California's I-5 near San Clemente

A California witness traveling south along I-5 near San Clemente at 8:45 p.m. on April 20, 2010, watched a "slender triangle-shaped object" moving above her car, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

The witness could not judge the size of the object.

"It was either really high and very large or really low and not that large. If I put my arm all the way out it was the slightly larger than my hand."

She followed the object for 10 minutes before it moved out of view.

She said the lights on the object were light blue and the bottom or belly "of the object appeared to be rounded."

At 9 p.m., the witness had a second strange encounter with odd lights in the sky. This object was about 100 yards above the freeway.

US: New Hampshire parent photographing kids on way to school captures triangle UFO

A New Hampshire parent took photos while walking the kids to the bus stop April 21, 2010, and discovered odd shapes in the distant sky in two photos, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) databse.

The parent took three images. Nothing odd appears in the first image, but a triangle shape is very clear in the second image, and possibly a V-shaped object in the third image - or another view of the triangle in image # 2.

The following is the unedited and as yet uninvestigated report filed with MUFON. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If New England MUFON State Director Steve Firmani investigates and reports back on this case, I will release an update.

What's that streaking across Southland skies? Is it a meteor, is it a plane?

Probably a meteor, according to Southland Astronomical Society secretary Bob Evans.

Probably a plane, Southland Astronomical Society observatory director Steve Butler said yesterday.

Otahu Flats dairy farmers Chris and Valda Johnstone sent this photo to The Southland Times last night, saying they watched a long vapour trail slowly descend towards Earth on about a 45-degree angle just before 5pm.

"We were trying to work out what it was. The first impression I had was it was a meteorite or some piece of space junk, or an aeroplane going away from us," Mr Johnstone said.

"But it was slow. I have never seen anything like it before."

His wife Valda said she had also never seen anything like it before, and she was a stargazer.

"I love to sit out at night and watch the sky."
