US: A vertical cigar-shaped ray of light seen over Naples, Florida

Occurred: 5/1/2010 19:47 (Entered as : 05/01/2010 19:47)
Reported: 5/1/2010 9:48:52 PM 21:48

Location: Naples, Florida
Shape: Cigar
Duration: 5 minutes

Sighting on Vanderbilt Beach, Naples, Florida.

Went to Vanderbilt Beach in Naples, FL to watch the sunset with two other people. The object appeared within moments after the sun fully set and visually appeared to be approximately 5-8 miles off the coastline. The object was cigar shaped, it was vertical and looked like a ray of light in the sky.

It sat stationary for about two minutes. It began to move at the pace of a jet airliner though. Suddenly, it stopped and then sat stationary again for about 30 seconds, after that it began to move closer, maybe a mile, nothing more than that. It started to move around again at a jet airliner pace in the sky but it swayed back and forward. After about five minutes of witnessing the entire phenomena, it quickly dissipated and faded into the atmosphere. Its camouflage mechanism made it hard to capture a phone picture. Additionally, the twilight was not helpful in trying to get a photo as the entire sky blended in.

US: Nine silver, flashing objects spotted over metro Phoenix, Arizona

Nine silver, flashing objects were observed at high altitudes over the metro Phoenix area on June 1, 2010, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The first object was seen at approximately 30,000 to 40,000 feet that moved behind clouds. A second object was seen that also moved behind clouds. Then a third object was seen that moved into clouds.

Five additional objects were then seen at even high altitudes. These were viewed as dots of flashing lights moving in formation.

A ninth object seemed to be tumbling down from the sky and the moved behind clouds.

The following are the unedited and as yet uninvestigated reports filed with MUFON. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If Arizona MUFON State Director Christine Dickey investigates and reports back on these cases, I will release an update.

UFOs follow same flight path over Belleville, Ontario, Canada

Posted: May 31, 2010

Date: March 29, 2010
Time: Approx: 10:30 p.m.

On the evening of March 29th 2010, my wife and I were visiting friends on the east side of Belleville Ontario. It was a clear night with a few high altitude wispy clouds with the full moon was about to rise in the east, so the sky was not all that dark. A total of 7 of us were sitting out on their back deck when around 10:30 pm our friends 15 year old son (sitting facing north) jumped up and says "what the heck is that" while pointing at the northern sky. Now we live in an air force area with CFB Trenton 15kms west and we are all accustomed to seeing airplanes all day and night.

I am an aircraft lover and I have observed so many over the years that when I looked at this approaching bright light, I immediately knew that this was a strange aircraft indeed! Judging by the clouds, I could tell that this object was only up maybe 2500 feet and traveling about 300 MPH. It was a solid round orange colored (fire colored) light, very bright with no white strobes or red and green lights like any plane would have.

Cigar-shaped UFO and white orbs over Wyevale, Ontario, Canada

Posted: May 31, 2010

Date: May 30, 2010
Time: Around noon time.
Location of Sighting: Wyevale, Ontario
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 3
Shape of Objects: One larger object, two smaller white orbs.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: It was noon-ish on May 30th, I was alone and driving down Dawson's Side Road towards the 6th Line, the sky was clear and the sun was shining. In the sky above the field directly ahead of me there was a very bright object.

At first I just thought that it was a plane from the small airport nearby, but as I approached the 6th line I noticed that the object was not moving nor was it at the right height in the sky to be ascending or descending to/from the small airport. I stopped at the corner to take a better look. The object was very bright, it almost seemed white, and it looked cigar shaped from the side.

UFOs Spotted in Central Colombia

Strange things are afoot in the central Colombian department of Boyaca, where several residents have spotted unidentified flying objects in the night skies, reported Caracol on Wednesday.

According to reports by local residents, UFO sightings are becoming a common occurrence in the area, particularly in the western regions of Combita, Motavita and Tunja.

Boyaca residents, who say that the sightings have been going on for many months now, are baffled by the mysterious airborne objects, and where they have come from.

Various explanations for the UFOs have been suggested, the most popular - and perhaps most eccentric - being that the lights belong to other-worldly creatures.

Combita resident Nury Gamarra voiced one popular opinion that the objects are in fact "divine ships coming for their chosen ones," whilst other argue that they are witnessing extraterrestrial aircrafts.

Whatever they are, Boyaca residents are convinced that the UFOs belong to unearthly beings.

"Is humanity alone in the universe?"

This question has bedeviled us for generations, although it might seem to be a recent query, a result of our interest in space exploration and the furious technological development that came about after World War 2. Others may lay the blame squarely on the shoulders of science-fiction, blaming our obsession the pulps of the 1920s and 30s, the "boys' papers" of the 1900s, and the romantic descriptions of worldly life on our neighboring worlds in the late 19th century. Readers with a taste for trivia might go back to the "Moon Hoax" of the 1830s, when newspapers claimed that a fanciful civilization of bat-people lived our planet's satellite. We can jump headfirst into the vast pool of history and find evidence that the question was raised by civilizations of the past.

This issue was hardly disquieting to the average person in the "ancient world" as we call it. Humanity was by no means alone. There were other creatures - the ones we now call mythological - sharing the world with us. Granted, some of these were creations of the ancient storytellers, used to get a copper coin or two out of frightened listeners. Strange lands beyond the reach of ancient galleys were filled with what we would call "humanoids" - infamous regions whose inhabitants used their enormous feet as parasols, or whose heads grew out of unusual parts of the body.

The Night of the Chupacabras (2000)

A small crowed gathered within the narrow confines of a clothing store on San Juan's Ponce de León Avenue to watch the clerks remove armfuls of crisp white t-shirts from nondescript boxes. Colorful serigraphs and silkscreened images depicting the gargoylesque paranormal predator known as El Chupacabras by the media decorated the front of each garment: Chupacabras as lifeguard, Chupacabras as gourmet chef, Chupacabras as straw-sipping vampire. An overweight woman gently took one of the t-shirts and looked at it skeptically. "Eso no puede ser," she said aloud to no one in particular: This thing can't be.

For that was the zeitgeist in the shining star of the Caribbean in December 1995: half-hearted denial of a physical impossibility. A red-eyed nocturnal creature alleged by many to have caused the deaths of countless small animals in rural Puerto Rico since the beginning of the year. What had originally been considered the idle prattle of country cousins was now a subject of serious discussions in thoroughly urban, sophisticated San Juan. Congressmen from opposing sides of the political spectrum now proposed joint resolutions calling for a formal investigation of the problem affecting not only their constituents, but which they themselves had experienced on their country estates.

Scotland: UFO Looked 'Like a Fireball'

An unusual sighting over the night sky north of Inverness has left a Wick woman mystified.

For Cathy Gunn spotted a "glowing, tumbling light" two weeks ago at Embo, near Dornoch.

"Around 11.30pm to 11.45pm my husband and I were walking back to our caravan when I noticed a bright yellow light in the sky over Tain. It appeared to be moving towards us, but it looked like it was rolling around rather than flying," she revealed.

"At first I thought it was a plane flying north that had exploded or was on fire but as it came nearer all I could see was this glowing light radiating from whatever it was."

Mrs Gunn and her husband, David, were spending a weekend relaxing at the caravan park when they encountered the mysterious sight after leaving an evening function. The 61-year-old said she just happened to look up when she got outside to see the glowing light in the sky.

"It was so strange. It was almost like a fireball, but there was no red in it. It was a sort of glowing, tumbling light.

"There was no noise from it. It moved quickly towards us then off to the side and then back again," she added.

Mrs Gunn does not believe it was a Chinese lantern as it was a calm night, with very little wind and the object's movements seemed deliberate and were very quick.
