Multiple witnesses report UFO's over Bronx, New York

Several residents of the Hunts Point area in the Bronx reported spotting UFOs on Saturday night. Many of them called 911 to report their sighting, but when a reporter called for more information, the NYPD threatened to hang up.

According to the New York Post, residents in Hunts Point began reporting bright objects shooting across the sky at around 6:30 pm on Saturday, April 25, 2015.

Although many say they called 911, a story in the Inquisitr reports that the authorities were not very keen to talk about it. According to a tweet by a New York Times reporter, when he called the NYPD he was told that if he asked about the UFO he would "hear a dial tone."

The reporter, Liam Stack, tweeted later, "Pro tip: the NYPD public affairs office really does not like it when you call on a Saturday night to ask about UFOs in the Bronx.

Footage captured at the Calbuco volcano eruption in Chile has caused controversy - after viewers spotted a 'UFO' in the sky among the plumes of dust and ash.

The unidentified flying object appears to hover in mid-air to the left of the eruption for a few seconds, flashing against the ash filled sky.

Moments later, the mysterious object disappeared.

The clip was uploaded to YouTube on April 23 by Ana Luisa Cid and has already clocked up more than 200,000 views.

Ana wrote: "Luminous object near the plume, captured on 22 April 2015.

"Some believe it may be a drone or a police helicopter.

A witness says he sees a UFO in the sky above Rosedale, California every night.

Joseph Guzman contacted local CBS affiliate KBAK to share video of the UFO, and to seek help in identifying the aerial object.

"I can't believe nobody else is seeing this," says Guzman. He explains, "You can drive down Rosedale . . . anywhere in Bakersfield . . . just look up at 7:30, 7:45, towards Rosedale and you'll see it."

He describes that the UFO is an object that "moves and it glows." He continues, "It's got a green glow. And orange. It's got two black dots, the top of it's cut off."

A former defence minister has accused world leaders of concealing the presence of aliens.

Paul Hellyer, who was a Canadian minister from 1963 to 1967, is now urging world powers to release what he believes to be hidden data on UFOs.

'Much of the media won't touch [the documents]', he said during a keynote speech at the Disclosure Canada Tour at the University of Calgary.

'You just have to keep working away and hope that someday you get a critical mass,' he said, according to a report by CTV.

'[The public] will say, in one way or another, "Mr President or Mr Prime Minister we want the truth and we want it now because it affects our lives."'

Hellyer, 91, first went public with his belief in aliens on Earth in 2005, becoming the first high ranking politician to do so.

Shiny orange lights and explosions reported in Bundaberg, Australia

UPDATE: A man has contacted the NewsMail with a possible solution to what was in the sky on Friday night.

"We were at Woodgate beach on Friday night when Chinese lights were launched from the beach heading in a south easterly direction," he said.

EARLIER: They weren't birds and they weren't planes... so what were the strange objects in our skies on Friday night?

People across Bundaberg spotted the shiny orange objects in the night sky and took to social media with some suggesting they were Chinese lanterns and others thinking there was a more otherworldly explanation.

Reports of UFOs (keeping in mind a UFO is simply something in the sky we can't explain) seem to be nothing new in the region - and I should know because I have reported on a lot of them.

But on Friday night I became the subject when I spotted two of these lights moving over the sky as I was getting into my car.

To me, they were not planes. Planes don't closely follow each other, they make a different kind of light and have a sound.

They were not comets or meteors because they moved too slowly and for a fairly long period of time.

Comment: Bundaberg has had numerous reports of UFO sightings as well as people who have reported 'missing time' on the road between Rosedale and Bundaberg.

Australia admits it may look at a new patch of ocean. What's more worrying than the undiscovered yet is that not one piece of floating wreckage has been spotted where it should've washed up.

Something significant was missing when senior ministers from Malaysia, Australia and China announced a new effort to find the wreckage of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 on Thursday. There was no mention of what is fast becoming the most perplexing feature of this multi-layered mystery: why has no floating wreckage turned up?

Make no mistake, the more time that passes without a single piece of floating wreckage being found the stranger it gets.

There is no previous case in the history of modern intercontinental jets where a crash into an ocean has not produced floating wreckage - and within days of the disaster. No matter how violent the impact of an airplane hitting the water there will always be some scattered debris that never sinks.

Last fall the Australian Transport Safety Board, who are directing the sea search for the Boeing 777, said they had assigned a team of experts usually used to predict the path of oil spills to produce a "drift model" - a highly sophisticated calculation combining ocean currents, wind and weather patterns and knowledge of the buoyancy of airplane wreckage - in order to predict when and where wreckage from Flight 370 would appear in places where it would be spotted.

At that time the Australians said that their best guess was that wreckage could take as long as a year to appear and that the most likely place was the long coastline of Western Sumatra on the Indonesian archipelago.

With more than a year gone by nothing has turned up.

Meteorologists and biologists have been left baffled by earthworms raining from the sky over Southern Norway.

According to Norwegian news service The Local, the most recent phenomenon was discovered by biology teacher Karstein Erstad while he was skiing in the mountains.

"I saw thousands of earthworms on the surface of the snow," he said.

"When I found them on the snow they seemed to be dead, but when I put them in my hand I found that they were alive."

He thought they might have crawled through the snow, but rejected this idea, as the snow was over half a metre thick across the mountains.

This is not the only time an area experiencing worms raining from the sky in Norway, with other cases found in Molde and Bergen, both in the south of the country.

One popular theory on random animal rain suggest that the worms may have been lifted up by a violent air pocket and then brought back down miles away from where they started.

Another theory says water spouts, weather systems similar to tornadoes, can travel from seas onto land and pick up vegetation, debris, and small animals, carrying them miles away from where they started before they blow themselves out.

Do you remember the mysterious story about a low-pitched humming noise which left scientists baffled and caused residents to cover their ears?

Last summer The Herald reported on the strange phenomenon creating a stir across the Plymouth area.

We thought the nuisance noise had disappeared, but now it seems to be back and more disruptive than ever. People have reported hearing the noise at night in Keyham, Devonport, West Park and St Budeaux.

Pat Finnie, who lives in Normandy Way, St Budeaux, says she and her husband have noticed the "melodic, droning" sound returning.

"I have heard it several times over the last few weeks and then on Monday and Tuesday this week," Mrs Finnie said.

"You begin to wonder whether it's you, your ears, but my husband said he could hear it too, and he doesn't usually notice it.

"My neighbours have been aware of it too, several people say they have heard the same thing."It's a very low, almost melodic sort of sound.

UFOs over Phoenix, Arizona caught on video by witnesses on Easter

Orange balls of light were seen by several people over Phoenix, Arizona on Easter Sunday. A couple of those witnesses caught the objects on video.

Arizona's 12 News interviewed Peter Perez, who says he and his family saw the objects just before sitting down for Easter dinner. Perez says his step-father saw them first and called the rest of the family over to take a look.

The story on AZCentral.com says the sighting took place on Saturday. However, Perez says it was Easter, and later in the story, they mention the sighting was on April 5, 2015, which was Easter. The Saturday thing must be a mistype.
