Bermuda Triangle swallows three more victims

The Bermuda Triangle is famous for its mystery and the deadliness as whoever goes near the place vanishes into thin air.

It has swallowed three more men who were sailors and had boarded on a dream trip of sailing across the Atlantic. These unfortunate men were named as Raul Enriquez, Pablo Sebastian, and Raul Echevarria.

They are supposed to be drowned after disappearing ten days into the journey as they sailed in the vicinity of the peculiar region which has taken in dozens of boats and planes along with the lives of several many within these boats and planes.

An eerie thing happened following the men's disappearance which is that one of the men's skype account came online 15 days ago i.e. two months after these sailors first lost contact. They were of Argentinian origin.

Black Magic

A live exorcism will be performed on TV

Image

All reality TV producers have to prepare for worst-case scenarios when they air a live event. Jodi Tovay's worries are a bit more unusual, because she is sending paranormal investigators into a house they believe is infested with demonic spirits.

"The worst-case scenario is that one of these entities will attach to someone," Tovay said. "It is dangerous."

Comment: Well this would probably be a very interesting show to compare with Martin's book mentioned in the comment above. Funny too that it's being broadcast just in time for Halloween. Given what Martin writes about his experiences in his book, we seriously doubt there will be any exorcising of truly nasty attachments - that sort of thing can become so horrific that it's just not fit for TV!

Intruders and incubi: The waking nightmare of sleep paralysis

sleep paralysis
© Nicolas Bruno
Once, when I was 17, I woke up in the dark and couldn't move.

I could hear, at least. That's why I was awake to begin with: someone was banging on the front door in the middle of the night, insistent, sharp, angry.

I could see, too. My eyes were open to the ceiling above me. My head, though, was locked into position by some invisible vise. I tried to yell, to warn my parents about the angry intruder outside, and the irrevocable harm I was convinced he would do. I couldn't yell. The knocks got louder.

No matter how insistently I begged my body to jump out of bed and find a place to hide, it remained a slab. Something terrible was about to happen to me, to my family. The door was going to give way. The outsider was going to come in. I was going to face whatever—whoever?—came after completely immobilized and alone.

Tourist baffled by bizarre sea creature captured on camera near Corfu, Greece

Unrecognisable features: The monster captured on film in a sea cave in Corfu has an unusual snout and eyes
There is no question that the sea holds mysteries and inhabitants beyond our imagination, that we are yet to encounter.

But a Scottish tourist was left in shock after unwittingly capturing the image of a bizarre sea creature in his holiday snaps.

Harvey Robertson, 52, was on a boat cruise with his family in Corfu when he took a number of photographs inside a sea cave.

He held the camera over the side of the boat to take pictures of the sea.

But when he lifted his camera back up, Robertson later realised a mysterious creature had appeared in one of the frames.

Robertson said: 'I have no idea what it could have been, I have never seen anything like it.

When the dead come calling - Signs that a deceased loved one is nearby

Image
Several days after my grandmother passed away suddenly in her sleep, I had a dream about her. In my dream, my mother and I went to my grandmother's house to clean out her closet so my grandfather wouldn't have to contend with it. As we came into the house, Nanny was sitting on the couch. I was astounded because nobody else could see her. I rushed to where she sat and said, "Nanny! I thought you died." She wrapped me in her arms and said, "I did die, but I couldn't leave without saying goodbye to you." I was only six years old, but the dream is as clear as it was when it happened.

Since that time, I've been a student of the paranormal world, learning as much as possible about what happens to us when we die. One thing I've discovered is that loved ones often try to contact us after death. Here are some of the ways they might reach out to you.

UFO hotspots just became a little hotter

Image
Ufology is one of forteana's toughest nuts. Organizations like MUFON, NUFORC, and others have tons of data winding up as interactive maps and infographics. That's all well and good knowing where to see saucers, but what does it all mean? Could there be an underlying pattern?

Over at the Toulouse School of Economics some researchers have submitted an analysis of locations known for sightings. They draw upon the UFO reports archived with GEIPAN, a branch of the French Space Program (CNES). French citizens can submit their sightings to the local police, passing the buck over to GEIPAN, who classify each account into one of four categories. Type A sightings have been explained without a shadow of a doubt, B's are probably identified, and C-class encounters lack enough meaningful data to be of any use. Type D events are the sweet spot. The kinds of reports that, despite a wealth of data, defy identification. Real, unidentified flying objects.

Is Stephen Hawking correct about Aliens being hostile?

Image
E.T. was the perfect extraterrestrial: Cute, smart and — best of all — a perfect pacifist.

Unfortunately, scientists aren't so sure that an actual intelligent alien would be so benign. In a recent interview with El País, famed physicist Stephen Hawking posited that an alien visitation would put Earthlings in the same position as Native Americans when Columbus landed on their shores.

"Such advanced aliens would perhaps become nomads, looking to conquer and colonize whatever planets they can reach," Hawking speculated. [7 Huge Misconceptions About Aliens]

The likelihood that intelligent life is out there is up for debate; less discussed are the conditions necessary to evolve a life-form that's both smart and nice. But the lessons from Earth suggest that intelligence and aggression might evolve hand-in-hand.

Gigantic see-through object seen hovering in sky above Manipur, India

May be aliens exist or may be not. But UFO (unidentified flying object) sightings from around the world continue to stir up the debate on claims by conspiracy theorists on the existence of extraterrestrial life. And in what could spur the interest of UFO enthusiasts around the world, a huge see-through, cloud-like round object was spotted in Manipur, India.

Some boys from a students' hostel at Mantripukhri locality of Manipur's capital city Imphal saw a strange transparent circular object hovering over the neighbourhood at around 1:30 pm on Wednesday (7 October), claimed Lincoln Liba. He added that pictures of the mysterious see-through object were sent to him a day later.

Interestingly, the round, see-through object is seen just above the residential buildings. One of the pictures even has a rainbow in the backdrop. It appears to be a genuine photo and not photoshopped as a person is seen pointing at the object in one of the pictures.

Comment: The pointing could have been staged if someone knew they wanted to create a fake.

Comment: Could this be some big semi-cloaked mutha ship - or someone having a little fun with photoshop (or something else entirely)? We do know that pictures one and three appear to be the same (the third one being a cropped version of the first) and they are both different from the second, middle picture because of the positions and shapes of the clouds in relation to the foreground, if nothing else. So if these were photoshopped someone went to the trouble (or fun) of doing it with both photographs. The original article was touted as an Exclusive and came from the Indian edition of International Business Times.

Update: Looks like the photos in the article had the artwork below included as part of its photoshop chicanery.

Update 10/15/15: Seems like the photos above and others like it are creating quite a stir.
