Vindicated: Trump-touted COVID-19 drug hydroxychloroquine works, according to new study

The anti-malaria drug that President Trump touted as a possible treatment for coronavirus, hydroxychloroquine, successfully lowered the death rate among hospitalized COVID-19 patients in the most recent study of the drug.

The large-scale analysis, conducted by Henry Ford Health System, was published Thursday in the peer-reviewed International Journal of Infectious Diseases.

The study examined 2,541 patients who had been hospitalized in six hospitals between March 10 and May 2, 2020.

More than twenty-six percent (26.4%) of patients who did not receive hydroxychloroquine died.

Comment: After all the mainstream media stories touting the ineffectiveness and danger of hydroxychloroquine, the release of this study just further shows that the MSM is full of lies and propaganda.

Court condemns French state to pay tens of thousands in birth defects cases

A court in Paris has found the French state responsible and ordered it to pay thousands of euros in damages in the case of birth defects linked to the anti-epilepsy drug Dépakine, produced by the pharmaceutical company Sanofi.

The court ordered the state to compensate three families who filed complaints after pregnant women took the medicine, marketed as Dépakine, and gave birth to children with congenital malformations, autism or learning difficulties.

The court ordered the French state to pay sums of 200,000, 157,000 and 20,000 euros to the families - the amounts based on the dates of birth of the five children affected, today aged between 11 and 35 years.

The tribunal decided that the state had failed in its duty to enforce laws intended to protect the public by informing them of potential dangers.

Sanofi and doctors who prescribed Dépakine were also found responsible for a tragedy that has left between 15,000 and 30,000 children affected.

Majority of victims excluded

Marine Martin, president of an association which helps the families of children damaged by the drug, said she was happy that the court had recognised the shared responsibility of the state, the manufacturer and the medical profession. But she said she was angry that the families of 80 percent of the victims, born before 2004, will not benefit from any compensation.

Video of brain clearing out dead neurons captured for first time

We already know that our brains have a waste disposal system that keeps dead and toxic neurons from clogging up our biological pathways. Now, scientists have managed to capture a video of the process for the first time, in laboratory tests on mice.

There's still a lot we don't know about how dead neurons are cleared out, and how the brain reacts to them, so the new research could be a significant step forward in figuring some of that out - even if we've not yet confirmed that human brains work in the exact same way.

"This is the first time the process has ever been seen in a live mammalian brain," says neurologist Jaime Grutzendler from the Yale School of Medicine in Connecticut.

Scientists have investigated left-handedness in unborn babies using real-time ultrasound recording in order to track the movements of their arms and hands in the womb.

Researchers in China have discovered a new genetic descendant of the H1N1 swine flu virus that they say has the potential to cause a future pandemic.

A survey of pig processing facilities in the country's Hebei and Shandong provinces found around 10 percent of pig farm workers have been infected by the virus between 2016 and 2018, while the infection rate among the general population in those areas for that time period is thought to be about 4.4 percent, according to a report from CNN.

Experts do not yet believe the virus is transmittable from person to person and say the only hard evidence so far points to the virus being spread from pigs to humans. Symptoms of the virus are reportedly similar to that of the regular influenza virus, which causes fevers, a cough and other common ailments.

Declining eyesight improved by looking at deep red light

Staring at a deep red light for three minutes a day can significantly improve declining eyesight, finds a new UCL-led study, the first of its kind in humans.

Scientists believe the discovery, published in the Journals of Gerontology, could signal the dawn of new affordable home-based eye therapies, helping the millions of people globally with naturally declining vision.

In the UK there are currently around 12 million people aged over 65: in 50 years this will increase to around 20 million and all will have some degree of visual decline because of retinal ageing.

Lead author, Professor Glen Jeffery (UCL Institute of Ophthalmology) said: "As you age your visual system declines significantly, particularly once over 40.

Do you want the true answer, or do you want the answer given by propaganda, official government versions and the mainstream media?

I will give you the true, medical answer: the tests do not answer any of these questions, they are unreliable, they give overly simplistic answers that can be used by governments to make people believe what they want them to believe.

There are two main types of tests:

Molecular tests: RT-PCR
Serological tests: looking for antibodies in blood

RT-PCR [1]

In cells taken from the back of the nose, RT-PCR searches for fragments of SARS-CoV-2 viral RNA, forms the corresponding DNA using the enzyme Reverse Transcriptase (RT) and amplifies (multiplies) the RNA-DNA fragments found using the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technique. By a complicated technique, therefore subject to many missteps, we are told that this test could quantify the viral load.

This test, the results of which can take 2 to 7 days, is supposed to prove that you are infected (RT-PCR +) or not (RT-PCR -) by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus and that you are contagious or not contagious.

This is not the truth.

Monsanto to pay $95M over PCB pollution in Washington State

The agrochemical giant Monsanto has agreed to pay Washington state $95 million to settle a lawsuit that blamed it for pervasive pollution from PCBs — toxic industrial chemicals that have accumulated in plants, fish and people around the globe for decades.

The announcement Wednesday from Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson came as Bayer, which acquired Monsanto two years ago, said it would pay $820 million to resolve PCB pollution claims and up to $10.9 billion to resolve many claims, both current and future, over contamination from or exposure to Monsanto's Roundup weedkiller.

PCBs, or polychlorinated biphenyls, were used in many industrial and commercial applications, including in paint, coolants, sealants and hydraulic fluids. Monsanto, based in St. Louis, produced them from 1935 until 1977, two years before they were banned by Congress.

Studies show that combinations of Vitamin D, magnesium, and B12 administered to older COVID-19 patients were associated with a significant reduction in the proportion of patients with clinical deterioration requiring oxygen and intensive care support.

It isn't very comfortable to realize the obvious. The perfect medicine for coronavirus hospital patients would be magnesium chloride given intravenously. Magnesium administration would reduce the progression of the disease to severe or fatal stages, when caught earlier enough, and keep heart patients from dying in the later stages.

Other studies show that combinations of Vitamin D, magnesium, and B12 administered to older COVID-19 patients were associated with a significant reduction in the proportion of patients with clinical deterioration requiring oxygen and intensive care support.

Ten years ago, Dr. Mark Hymen wrote, "I find it very funny that more doctors are not clued into the benefits of magnesium because we use it all the time in conventional medicine. But we never stop to think about why or how important it is to our general health or why it helps our bodies function better."

Mainstream attitudes toward supplements try to dumb us down, like a recent New York Times essay. Too few regular doctors prescribe magnesium. Too few psychologists and psychiatrists prescribe magnesium. A lot of people die from magnesium deficiencies, many more than from the coronavirus. As the only living author of two books on magnesium, I am in a position to make such a statement. The last thing our present generation of health officials wants to count is death from a lack of magnesium. Engine blocks seize without oil. It's the same with human physiology, it seizes without enough magnesium in the cells, and the heart certainly goes into cardiac arrest if magnesium levels drop in the blood.
