The study, "Is 'delitigation' associated with a change in product safety? The case of vaccines", by economist Dr. Gayle DeLong at Baruch College in New York, compares vaccines licensed before the passage of the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act (NCVIA) in 1986 with vaccines licensed after the legislation. Results suggest that vaccine safety deteriorated after consumers were no longer able to sue vaccine makers.
The study examines adverse events (AE) per 100,000 vaccine recipients and finds the AE ratio increased from 21.0 for vaccines licensed before 1986 to 30.8 for vaccines licensed after the legislation. Further investigation reveals that the legislation is associated with an increase of between 9.4 and 12.8 injuries per 100,000 vaccine recipients (see Table 5 below). Serious AEs such as long-term disability or death also increased by about one per 100,000 vaccine recipients.
Most of the time I was able to take the time to resist the temptation to blindly prescribe whatever treatment my patient saw on TV the night before, but it did take time. As I have often proclaimed in this column, it only takes two minutes to write a prescription, whereas it takes 20 minutes to not write one (a bunch of teaching and some arguing is required). But when time is money and medicine is a for-profit venture, one can predict what the average clinic administrator (and too many physicians) will choose to do. And therein lies one of the biggest problems in the for-profit medical (non-) system in America.

“Studies have shown that in many cases the virulence of a virus is actually based on its ability to trigger immune overreaction.” — Russell Blaylock, MD
Less than one percent of those who have poliovirus will develop permanent paralysis, and of those few cases less than 10 percent of them will result in death.1 Most people who contract poliovirus never know they have the virus and they are unaffected by it. Yet, the virus has been made out to be a monster that must be subdued at all cost.
The media, along with many within the scientific, medical and public health communities, have irresponsibly pushed the idea that a virus is like a terrorist—something threatening that we must attack and destroy before it attacks and kills us. The same thoroughly unscientific mentality has been disseminated widely with regard to bacteria, disease, and fever.2
Going low-carb might even mimic the effects of GHB - the recreational drug better known as fantasy, liquid ecstasy or grievous bodily harm - on the brain.
To understand why we need to look at how the body processes a very low-carb diet, one that typically limits carbohydrates to no more than 50 grams a day.

Some of the more notable results we found are listed below. Many of these results violate EPA water quality limits and expose potentially millions of Americans to toxic heavy metals in municipal water. (Why is nobody else conducting these tests? Why does the EPA cover this up?)
- 413 ppb aluminum in zip code 06897
- 1048 ppb aluminum in zip code 18371
- 704 ppb copper in zip code 44035
- 1117 ppb copper in zip code 51025
- 1528 ppb copper in zip code 55418
- 41 ppb lead in zip code 64836
- A shocking 120 ppb lead in zip code 85086
- 15 ppb arsenic in zip code 86351
- 51 ppb lead in zip code 92103

"The AMA fully supports the overwhelming body of evidence and rigorous scientific process used by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices which demonstrate vaccines are among the most effective and safest interventions to both prevent individual illness and protect the health of the public,"William E. Kobler, MD said in a statement. Dr. Kobler is a member of the AMA Board of Trustees.
(Editors Note: I can state, proudly, that I am not nor have I ever been a member of the AMA.)
Autism is occurring at epidemic rates. We now have over 1,000,000 U.S. children diagnosed with autism. Something in our environment is responsible for causing the autism epidemic. It is not due to genetics. Could it be the increasing numbers of vaccines given to our children? Why wouldn't any rational person want to study this association? A simple study comparing vaccinated with unvaccinated children could help decide whether vaccines are responsible for causing the autism epidemic. But, the Powers-That-Be, like the AMA, do not want this study done as it may turn their world upside down.
Comment: The AAP is also opposed to the creation of a new federal commission on vaccine safety: Preserving the public vaccine policy - American Academy of Pediatrics refuses to back vaccine claims with science
When asked whether it could provide studies to support specific claims it made about vaccine safety, the American Academy of Pediatrics ultimately declined.Read more about Trump's proposed vaccine commission - an interview with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
On January 10, 2017, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) issued a press release to express its opposition to a federal commission that has been proposed by the Trump administration to examine vaccine safety and efficacy. The AAP argues that since we already know that vaccines are safe and effective, therefore there is no need for further examination into their safety and efficacy.
This argument, however, begs the question — it presumes in the premise the proposition to be proven (the petitio principii fallacy). And the press release itself illustrates why, apart from the question of whether there should be a federal commission, critical examination of public vaccine policy is very much warranted.

The French ANFR published online on June 1, 2017, a listing of cell phone data "details of make, model and test results for each cell phone that was tested, after months of legal action by French physician Dr. Marc Arazi."
According to Environmental Health Trust,
Popular brands such as Apple, Motorola, Samsung and Nokia were among the cell phone models tested. When tested in contact with the body, some phones have test results as high as triple the manufacturer's previously reported radiation levels. When your circadian rhythms are disrupted, such as from shift work, jet lag or nighttime light exposure, your body produces less melatonin. It's these instances when supplementing with small amounts of melatonin can be most useful, as it may help to reset your internal clock.1 However, a growing number of children are reportedly now taking the supplement to help them sleep, which could be associated with long-term risks.
Melatonin May Help Children With Certain Sleep Disorders
If your child has a unique medical need that makes nighttime sleep difficult, melatonin may be helpful and is likely safer than prescription sleep aids. One example would be children with autism, for whom sleep disorders are common and may intensify autistic symptoms. Melatonin has been found to help synchronize circadian rhythms and improve sleep quality and behavior in individuals with autism.2
Among children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and chronic sleep onset insomnia, melatonin was also found to be an effective therapy in 88 percent of cases even when used long-term, with no serious adverse events reported.3 Further, behavior and mood also improved in 71 percent and 61 percent of the cases, respectively.
That scourge is inflammation. Until recently, we have known little about how what starts as a protective immune process in the body goes awry, and there have been frustratingly few evidence-based suggestions on what we should do about it. But now we are starting to learn more about how the process works, how it connects body and mind, and what we might do to keep it in check. This new understanding is leading to treatments that may finally let us douse this constant fire -- not by stopping it from happening, but by turning it off when it is no longer useful.
Such treatments could benefit the millions of people around the world who have chronic inflammatory conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, asthma and celiac disease. They could also assist those of us who want to have our cake, eat it and not end up inflamed. Finding a way to manage inflammation could help prevent modern life from damaging our long-term physical health.
