What Burger King and other franchises should do instead of carrying Impossible Foods paddies, is to insist that each region source at least 10% of their meats locally and via ecologically restorative production. That would jumpstart the food revolution genuinely poised to deliver a safe climate.
Everyone seems to have a different opinion about butter these days. The government, doctors, and even the media constantly contradict each other on this issue. So, you might be wondering if butter is good for your health or not? While you were told to avoid butter, new research is challenging this myth.
Many doctors and scientists now believe that you shouldn't be demonizing saturated fats, which has been shown to increase cholesterol. In fact, current studies say that cholesterol is beneficial to your health. The researchers explain that cholesterol is not the bad guy here; it's actually necessary to help repair damaged tissues in the body (1).
"My yard is currently filled with stacks of empty bee boxes that used to contain healthy hives," Dennis Arp, a commercial beekeeper, told the Guardian. Like many of his peers, nearly half of Arp's income comes from renting out his hives to pollinate almonds. But now, he says, he loses 30 percent or more of his bees a year, a number that's on par for many beekeepers in the U.S. One survey of commercial beekeepers found that 50 billion honeybees were wiped out in just a few months during the winter of 2018-19.
They found that men who used saunas an average of four to seven times per week were 66 percent less likely to develop dementia and 65 percent less likely to develop Alzheimer's disease. In comparison, men who used saunas only once a week were 22 percent less likely to develop dementia and 20 percent less likely to develop Alzheimer's than men who didn't use saunas at all. The researchers reached these conclusions after controlling for risk factors such as age, alcohol consumption, body mass index, systolic blood pressure, smoking, diabetes, previous heart attack, resting heart rate, and LDL cholesterol.
Study leader Jari Antero Laukkanen said the findings were surprisingly strong. The researchers wrote that taking saunas "may be a recommendable intervention" to prevent dementia and Alzheimer's disease in healthy adults but noted that more studies are needed to see if the results hold true for women and other patient populations.
Beautiful beaches, rainbows, tropical fruits and epic hiking make Hawaii one of the worlds most popular tourist destinations. Simultaneously this small island chain represents a microcosm of global issues and a cultural tradition rich with solutions that can benefit communities around the planet. The word aloha is commonly understood to represent "I love you", "hello", and "goodbye" but it is much more than that. Aloha is a way of living that embraces the larger interconnected web of relationships surrounding us in nature along with our responsibility to be respectful custodians within this web of life. Currently this way of life is being threatened on the islands and all over the world so Hawaiians have embraced creative ways to re-awaken us all to the beauty that is possible.
Using Hawaiian language grammatical rules, we will translate this (aloha) literally as "The joyful sharing of life energy in the present" or simply "Joyfully sharing life". - The Deeper meaning of AlohaThe finite ecosystem of an island can teach us a whole lot as we begin to recognize the finite resources on our whole planet. Ancient Hawaiians were masters at regenerative agriculture, working with nature to increase abundance of food, fresh water, and fertile soil. The year-round growing season has made Hawaii a great place for experiments in permaculture. It has also attracted biotech industries like Monsanto and Syngenta.
Permaculture is the practice of producing food, energy, etc, using ways that do not deplete the earth's natural resources. It is a system of perennial agriculture emphasizing the use of renewable natural resources and the enrichment of local ecosystems.

The researchers concluded that black seed may be effective for reducing the size of kidney stones or even making them disappear entirely.
Nigella sativa, more commonly known as black seed, is a widely used therapeutic plant around the world, including in Ayurvedic medicine. A study on 60 patients with kidney stones offers evidence of its might and effectiveness in helping treat or reduce the size of painful kidney stones
Kidney stones affect some 10% of people in the Western world,[i] with annual U.S. health care costs linked to the condition exceeding $2 billion.[ii] Natural therapies for this common condition include black currant, cranberry and omega-3 fats, but one plant stands out for its stone-fighting potential: Nigella sativa (N. sativa) or black seed, whose seeds have a long history of use as food and medicine.
Hailing from the Ranunculacaeae family and native in areas such as Southern Europe and North Africa, N. sativa has a rich historical and religious background.[iii] Its seeds and their oil have been used far and wide for centuries in treating various ailments.
Among Muslims, for instance, N. sativa is considered a great miracle for healing that can remedy all diseases, thus finding a revered place in Tibb-e-Nabwi or Prophetic Medicine.
Comment: One thing to consider for those prone to kidney stones - oxalates are NOT your friend! Also, optimizing your magnesium levels will help to prevent formation of the stones and avoiding too much sugar. See:

A mouse heart with the coronary arteries are shown in green. The red staining shows the cells descended from a single lymphatic endothelial cell.
The study, published today in Developmental Cell, opens the way to future research into the mechanism underlying lymphatic vasculogenesis in this new niche and the functional diversity of coronary lymphatics.
Coronary circulation, essential for heart function, is not only composed of the arteriovenous system that provides oxygen and nutrients, but also includes lymphatic vessels. The essential functions of the cardiac lymphatic vessels include protecting the heart against infection, preventing edema (fluid retention) in the myocardium, and the recovery of cardiac function after an infarction. Despite its importance, the coronary lymphatic vasculature is little understood and has received much less attention than the coronary arteries and veins.

The investigation was performed using small, bacteria-eating organisms called Caenorhabditis elegans, here imaged using Oregon Green-labeled dextran and 748 laser-scanning confocal microscopy.
However, recent work from the Ackley and Chandler labs in the Department of Molecular Biosciences at the University of Kansas runs counter to this idea, instead suggesting lower pH in the digestive tract may make some bacterial pathogens even more harmful.
Their findings, published in the peer-reviewed journal PLOS Pathogens, could have implications for addressing the crisis of antibiotic resistance in bacterial infections around the world.
Xinhua reports that the virus was identified by the Chinese Academy of Engineering's Xu Jianguo based on tests of samples from 15 patients with the illness. Known coronaviruses include some that cause a cold, as well as the pathogens behind severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS).
The above book cover is from a beautiful edition of my magnesium book in Portuguese. And this is my New Years present, this important information about magnesium, about toxic exposures and treatments for that. Also I just finished my hundred lesson course on cancer, It will be available sometime in the next two weeks. And right behind that will be coming out my new work Mindless Psychology, which will cover medical and spiritual psychology, the subjects closest to my heart. This course is where I will combine my medical work of Natural Allopathic Medicine with the deeper work of addressing a persons heart and soul.
Many of the problems with chelation can be reduced when a person is given sufficient magnesium. The beginning of safe chelation and detoxification starts with magnesium. Magnesium is one of the most important minerals for the human body. Before 2009, it was believed that it was a required co-factor for over 325 enzyme systems, but since then, according to works documented by Dr. Andrea Rosenoff, that number has more than doubled to almost 800 enzymes.
