Metabolic similarities suggest path to prevention of neurodegenerative disorders
June is Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month. One could argue that awareness of neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease - which gradually destroy brain cells as we age - is already at a fever pitch. Who among us hasn't yet been personally affected by these thieves of intellect and dignity?
Now a global epidemic, Alzheimer's disease already plagues nearly six million Americans and 50 million people worldwide.
Parkinson's disease, the second most common neurodegenerative disorder, afflicts approximately one million people in the United States and as many as ten million people worldwide.

Anti-Vaxxer. Conspiracy Theorist. Negligent Parent. Selfish. Stupid. Crazy. Dangerous.
I have been called a lot of things since I started vocalizing some of my concerns about these massive attempts to remove philosophical, religious and even medical exemptions for mandated vaccinations across the country. People who I have never met before, who know nothing of my personal choices, have demanded to have me removed from community Facebook pages and suggested that I no longer belong in the community (or the country in some cases). Some claim that my family and I are a threat to the world they live in and say I am not worthy of compassion or a voice in the conversation. But I am going to make another assertion about who I am: I am your friend.

“These refined carbohydrates could be feeding the bad bacteria in the small intestine,” said researcher Marit Zinocker, “and that’s where inflammation starts.”
In two new papers published in the BMJ, the more ultra-processed - or industrially manufactured - foods a person ate, the more likely they were to get sick and even die. In one study, they were more likely to suffer from cardiovascular problems. The other linked an ultra-processed diet to a higher risk of death from all causes.
Those studies followed a first-of-its-kind randomized controlled trial, out of the National Institutes of Health: Researchers found people following an ultra-processed diet ate about 500 more calories per day than those consuming minimally processed, whole foods.
Comment: Consider the fact that over 50% of the average American Caloric intake comes from 'ultra processed foods' and then read the following article. Is there a clear relationship between junk food consumption in America and terminal apathy?
Terminal apathy & junk food: What rats say about Americans:
Dr. Blaisdell's study clearly indicates that junk food, while causing obesity, subsequently causes laziness and fatigue. Combined, the political cousin of these two symptoms is: apathy.
By all metrics, Americans consume the most quantity of the worst-quality food supply in the developed world, as such leading in obesity. In America this endemic apathy is causing Americans to have little interest in their own increasing domestic peril. In a nation of increasing authoritarian governmental control, American processed junk food may have now become the most effective US government weapon for controlling the reactions of its own population. Examples of irrational American apathy are evident every week.
Here's a little background for those of you just getting started.
Ronnie Reagan... almost 30 years ago to the day, the 40th president of the United States signed away the rights of Americans to sue vaccine makers, replacing them with a law that forces families who have suffered vaccine injury or death to sue the U.S. government instead of a pharmaceutical company.
As a result, special masters from the United States Special Claims Court, also known for our purposes as the vaccine court, are given full authority as judge with no jury to decide the fate of Americans who have had the unfortunate 'luck' to be stricken by a vaccine injury - which can range from chronic, mild symptoms to death.
Comment: Government's position on vaccine safety betrayed by Vaccine Court Stats on injuries and deaths
In November of 2014 the Government Accounting Office (GAO) issued the first report [18]on America's "Vaccine Court," known as the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (NVICP), in almost 15 years. Most citizens of the United States are not even aware that there is something called the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program, and that if you suffer harm or death due to a vaccine, that you cannot sue the manufacturer of the vaccine, but you must sue the Federal Government and try to obtain compensation from the Vaccine Injury Compensation Trust Fund, which is funded by taxes paid on vaccines. The amount of money currently sitting in this trust fund is over $3.6 BILLION, as of September 30, 2015.
Just a few years ago the idea of genetically engineered farm animals seemed like science fiction to most consumers. But it's a sign of how powerful the industry has become, and how quickly the science is advancing, that we've reached the stage where regulators are having to draft new regulations to deal with the influx new applications.
Behind the scenes there have been squabbles over not just what the regulations will say, but which government department should take the lead.

The greatest environmental threat that we are facing is genetic modification. All over the globe, scientists are treating the fabric of life as if it was a playground where anything goes. Behind closed doors, scientists all over the planet are creating some of the most freakish and most bizarre monsters that you could possible imagine, and very few people seem concerned about it. But the truth is that messing with the building blocks of life is going to have some very serious consequences.
With a recent study showing bacteria live on the surface of the eye and stimulate protective immunity, scientists are beginning to discover the microbial factors that can be exploited to create innovative therapies for a range of eye disorders like Dry Eye Disease, Sjogren's Syndrome and corneal scarring. One day it may be possible to engineer bacteria to treat eye diseases in humans.

It's said that the eyes are the windows to the soul. And truly, the eyes can communicate a great deal - emotional state, intention, health, attention - we can tell a lot about a person by looking them in the eye. But unless something has gone wrong, we don't tend to think much about our eyes. What should we be doing to maintain the health of our eyes? Are the supplements said to be good for the eyes actually any good? Are glasses good for the eyes? What about contact lenses? Is it possible to correct vision without lenses? Why do some people need glasses and some maintain perfect vision all their lives? How does staring at digital screens affect our eyes?
Possible reasons put forward by the Post's reporter include that the burger is expensive and can't compete with cheaper options; that the company that makes it, Impossible Foods, is having manufacturing problems that mean it can't keep up with demand; and that people don't see any reason to buy it when plant-based veggie burgers with more everyday ingredients are commonly available.
But it's also possible that NYC restaurant owners and their customers are becoming aware - and wary - of the GMO (genetically modified organism) status of the product and are choosing to avoid it. The results of a rat feeding study commissioned by Impossible Foods and carried out with soy leghemoglobin (SLH) suggest that they may have good reason.
Comment: As with all vegan meat-substitutes, the Impossible Burger is a chemical poop-storm unfit for human consumption (or rat consumption, apparently). People would be well-advised to avoid these products and simply eat real meat.

"Globally, some 35 million people, up from an earlier estimate of 30.5 million, suffer from drug use disorders and require treatment services. The death toll is also higher: 585,000 people died as a result of drug use in 2017. Prevention and treatment continue to fall far short of needs in many parts of the world. This is particularly true in prisons, where those incarcerated are especially vulnerable to drug use and face higher risks of HIV and hepatitis C transmission," states the report.
According Yury Fedotov, Executive Director United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, "Synthetic opioids continue to pose a serious threat to health, with overdose deaths rising in North America and trafficking in fentanyl and its analogues expanding in Europe and elsewhere. The opioid crisis that has featured in far fewer headlines but that requires equally urgent international attention is the non-medical use of the painkiller tramadol, particularly in Africa. The amount of tramadol seized globally reached a record 125 tons in 2017; the limited data available indicate that the tramadol being used for non-medical purposes in Africa is being illicitly manufactured in South Asia and trafficked to the region, as well as to parts of the Middle East.
Comment: Interesting that the author sidesteps the pharmaceutical empire's role in creating the drug crisis, choosing to focus on relatively harmless cannabis use and international drug traffickers. See also:

Tucker Carlson had historian Victor Davis Hanson on his show just last week, where the latter said that California is on the verge of becoming the nation's first Third World state. From trash being illegally dumped to city hall becoming a rat-infested den in the city of LA, it all points to the decay suffered when Democrats run things. Even police stations in the city are loaded with rats and according to Townhall, one was fined $5,000 over its conditions that left one officer stricken with typhoid fever. California's descent has gotten to the point where there is a possibility that bubonic plague (the black death) may now be present in the city.
This isn't new information either. Typhus outbreaks were being reported back in February. Typhus is not transmitted person-to-person, and flea-borne typhus can spread to people from infected fleas and their feces. Typhus infection can be prevented through flea control measures on pets, using insect repellent to avoid flea bites and clearing areas that can attract wild or stray animals like cats, rats, and opossums, according to the Department of Public Health.

The major industries colluding to take over the government and government agencies include banking, military, agriculture, pharma, media and Big Tech.
The leaders of these industries have organized strategies to buy off politicians through lobbying and to capture regulatory agencies through revolving door hiring strategies and paid-for media influence through advertising dollars.
Big Tech has joined the movement, bringing in a global concentration of wealth to eliminate competition and critical voices - voices that bring awareness to the frightening future as our rights, freedoms and competition erode into a fascist sunset, all disguised as a means to protect you from "misinformation."

Comment: Given the amount of research showing improved brain function on the ketogenic diet, it's little wonder that the diet looks to be beneficial for Parkinson's and Alzheimer's.
