What people don't realize is just how contaminated our water is all the time, every day, every where.
I'm not talking about heavy metals like lead, although unless regular testing is done the nation over or you test your own water with a home kit (cheap, definitely worth it if you are curious to know what's in your water), how do you know what's coming out of your faucet is lead-free anyway?
In this instance, however, I'm talking about Big Pharma.
GenX was the replacement for perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), a long-chain perfluorinated chemical previously used in Teflon products.
DuPont shelved PFOA in 2009, following a class-action lawsuit regarding health hazards associated with the chemical. The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has worked to investigate and even discourage the use of PFOA, also known as C8, but has not determined that it "poses an unreasonable risk to the public."
Comment: The EPA has not determined if PFOA/C8 'poses an unreasonable risk to the public.' Really?! The following data paints a much different picture:
- Non-Stick Chemical in Cookware Linked to Thyroid Disease
- Chemical Used in Teflon & Non-Stick Cookware Linked to Heart Disease
- 6.5 million Americans in 27 states drinking water tainted by byproduct of Teflon manufacturing
- New generation of nonstick and waterproof chemicals replacing Teflon are just as toxic

The truth about this family of chemicals emerged only after DuPont was hit with lawsuits for poisoning drinking water for tens of thousands of people in West Virginia and Ohio. DuPont paid a record $16.5 million fine for hiding the alarming truth that C8/PFOA chemicals were linked to cancer and birth defects. DuPont promised to phase the chemical out by the end of this year but the company continues to hide behind confidentiality and trade secrets to keep the public in the dark.
"We are deeply troubled that families have no way of knowing if they are being exposed to these chemicals in their own homes," said Bill Walker, EWG consultant and co-author of the report. "DuPont continues to hide the truth about the health concerns of these new replacement chemicals."
Don't you find it ironic that a study, probably funded by Merck, in a publication funded by Merck, nobody has actually seen, gets published at the same time the dangers of the HPV vaccine (two of which are manufactured by Merck) hit the big time, and Spain, Denmark, France, India, and Japan call the HPV vaccine manufactures to the rug for misrepresenting the safety of their vaccines? I keep thinking that at some point, we've got to get tired of looking stupid. Only a fool would look at a duck and argue that it's an elephant. Yet, here we are.
Antibiotics are essential in the fight against bacterial infections and save countless lives. However, due to the overconsumption and frequent misuse of antibiotics, resistant bacteria are increasingly common. But even when no resistant bacteria are involved, infections sometimes flare up again after a seemingly successful course of antibiotics.
To examine this phenomenon in detail, scientists from the KU Leuven Centre of Microbial and Plant Genetics treated the gut bacteria Escherichia coli with daily antibiotic doses in the lab. Even though most bacteria were initially killed, some bacteria found a quick way to adapt with minimal changes in their genetic material.
Comment: Because much of our food and water is tainted with antibiotics, and the prevalence of antibacterial agents in cleaning supplies, most of us are getting daily doses of these drugs. This is why it is so important to drink purified water and avoid factory farmed meats as well as products containing antibacterial agents such as triclosan.
- Antibiotic resistance - massive agricultural overuse of drugs
- Drinking water is becoming increasing scarce and toxic
- Antibacterial agent Triclosan increasingly polluting freshwater lakes

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services confirmed at least 44 cases of Elizabethkingia anophelis were reported from Nov. 1, 2015, to March 2, 2016, with 18 deaths attributed to the outbreak, ABC News reports. Most of the infected are 65 and older, but everyone has at least one serious underlying health condition.
Elizabethkingia anophelis is a naturally occurring bacteria found in soil, fresh water and reservoirs, according to health officials. An outbreak of the bacteria is very rare.
Symptoms of infection include fever, shortness of breath, chills or redness on the skin.
The source of the outbreak is unknown and an investigation is underway by state and federal health officials.

Jose Riquelme (L) and Esther Fernandez, victims of a drug based on thalidomide.
Former director of the Thalidomide Trust Martin Johnson claims many families would not have known their babies had been affected by the drug.
Speaking to the Sunday Times, Johnson said it has taken half a century for the true scale of the thalidomide scandal to be revealed.
He said there had been no criminal prosecutions and that the Conservative government of the time refused to conduct a public inquiry.
Aromatherapy is not a new concept nor is it a new discipline. It is not "mumbo-jumbo" or pagan ritualistic Spiritism. As a matter of fact, if you need references to dispel such an inaccurate concept, read "The Song of Solomon" in the Torah/Old Testament. Read its references to myrrh, aloes, lilies, the rose, and other aromatic flowers and herbs to prove such. That is not to say that oils and scents were not used by nations for purposes less than "above board," however, the scope of this article is not didactic in nature. We are addressing aromatherapy from a naturopathic and scientifically-based standpoint as a holistic discipline.

Experts believe that, much like certain smells can set off the release of neurochemicals in the brain, such as serotonin, aromatherapy works by stimulating the smell receptors found in the nose, which then connect with the parts of the brain known as the amygdala and hippocampus, which harbor emotions and memories. By breathing in essential oil molecules, it is believed that these parts of your brain are affected on a physical, emotional, and mental level.
In the early 2000 the first Russian studies revealed reduction in fertility and birth defects in hamsters and rats. In a 2013 Russian study, scientist have discovered that mammals that eat GMO foodstuffs have difficulties to reproduce. The study concluded that "Campbell hamsters that have a fast reproduction rate were fed for two years with ordinary soya beans which are widely used in agriculture and those contain different percentages of GMOs. Another group of hamsters, the control group, was fed with pure soya [found in Serbia, as 95% of soya in the world is transgenic]."
The problem with this recommendation is that it is only based on a theory, and worse yet that theory has never been proven. In fact, the recent studies that carefully examine saturated fat disprove this.
It's common practice for oncologists to recommend lymph node removal after cancer diagnosis. Removal of lymph nodes occurs with many cancers - breast cancer, prostate cancer, cervical cancer, colon cancer, melanoma, ovarian cancer, and others too.
Comment: Listen to the Health & Wellness Show: The Iodine Crisis - Interview with Lynne Farrow. Lynne talks about her experience with breast cancer and the conventional medical practice of unnecessary lymph node biopsies. Like the author of this article states; 'Surgical removal of lymph nodes, as a way of reducing metastasis, may actually be causing more harm than good because of the potential lifelong complications of lymphedema.' Lynne shares this perspective:
"Well it makes sense to have the lymph nodes out if they have cancer". Well you have to examine your premise then if you think that's going to help because in this case it doesn't help survival at all, even though you're leaving some miniscule amount of cancer in your body, the lymph nodes are functioning in some way that don't make the cancer spread or don't contribute to your survival or lack of survival. And the downside is this terrible, crippling lymphedema. If you get that it's just awful. If you've ever had anybody in your family that's had it, you would know.
