Johnson & Johnson is recalling five of its aerosol sunscreen products after the sprays were found to contain low levels of the chemical benzene, a known human carcinogen.

The company made the announcement this week after conducting its own internal tests. The recalled products are: Neutrogena Beach Defense aerosol sunscreen, Neutrogena Cool Dry Sport aerosol sunscreen, Neutrogena Invisible Daily defense aerosol sunscreen, Neutrogena Ultra Sheer aerosol sunscreen and Aveeno Protect + Refresh aerosol sunscreen, according to a statement from the company. The recall applies to all sizes and SPFs of these products, according to The Washington Post.

During a Covid surge, what proportion of the population is exposed to an infective dose of the virus, which they either fight off with no or minimal symptoms or are infected by? This is one of the most important questions scientists need to answer.

It's closely related to the question of whether lockdowns work. If lockdowns work then, as per SAGE and Imperial orthodoxy, the restrictions successfully prevent the virus from reaching most people, who remain unexposed and susceptible - and hence in need of vaccination to protect them when the protective restrictions are lifted. If lockdowns don't work, however, then they don't prevent the virus spreading, and thus the majority of people will be exposed to it as it spreads around unimpeded by ineffectual restrictions.

Another related question is: What proportion of exposed people are infected? Using ONS data we can estimate that around 10-15% of the country tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 over the autumn and winter. How many were exposed to the virus to produce this number of infections? Was it, say, 10-20%, with half to all of them catching the virus? Or was it more like 80-90%, with around 10% being infected? It's a question that makes all the difference in our understanding of the virus and how to respond to it.

Signs made by family and friends of people who died after being poisoned by pills containing fentanyl in Santa Monica, Calif., in June Drug-overdose deaths in the U.S. surged nearly 30% in 2020, the result of a deadlier supply and the destabilizing effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, according to preliminary federal data and public health officials.

The estimated 93,331 deaths from drug overdoses last year, a record high, represent the sharpest annual increase in at least three decades, and compare with an estimated toll of 72,151 deaths in 2019, according to provisional overdose-drug data released Wednesday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Comment: At this point, it is fair to say that the sheer amount of unnecessary death and suffering caused by lockdowns far outweighed the purported benefits:

The Cleveland Clinic and the Mount Sinai Health System, two major health systems in the U.S., have decided they would not administer Biogen's new Alzheimer's drug following the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) controversial approval.

The Cleveland Clinic issued a statement on Wednesday saying its panel of experts decided against carrying the drug Aduhelm, also called aducanumab, after having "reviewed all available scientific evidence."

"Based on the current data regarding its safety and efficacy, we have decided not to carry Aducanumab at this time. However, we support continued research in this area, and when additional data become available, we will re-evaluate this medication for use in our patients."

A spokesperson for the Cleveland Clinic clarified to The Hill that individual physicians will be allowed to prescribe Aduhelm. But patients would need to have the drug administered intravenously monthly from a different health provider.

Comment: The controversy surrounding the authorization and usage of this drug should be cut and dry. It is either a viable, safe and beneficial choice...or it isn't. This is another case of serving profit over health in collusion with the FDA.

J&J sued after recalling sunscreens due to cancer-causing chemical

Johnson & Johnson has been slapped with a class-action lawsuit after the pharmaceutical giant announced Wednesday that it was recalling five of its spray sunscreens due to the presence of a cancer-causing chemical in some samples.

The lawsuit, filed by Johanna Dominguez and Sharron Meijer in the US District Court for the Northern District of California, seeks an injunction and damages on behalf of consumers who purchased the affected products.

The affected products include the Aveeno Protect + Refresh aerosol sunscreen and four Neutrogena sunscreens: Beach Defense aerosol sunscreen, CoolDry Sport aerosol sunscreen, Invisible Daily Defense aerosol sunscreen and UltraSheer aerosol sunscreen.

The recalled products were named in a May report by Valisure, an independent testing lab in New Haven, Connecticut, for having high levels of benzene in at least some batches.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says benzene can cause leukemia or other cancers after long-term exposure to high levels.

Product-safety trial lawyer Andy Birchfield of the Beasley Allen law firm, which is representing the plaintiffs in the suits said:

"It should not have taken the publication of a third party's tests to bring this critically important information to the public, and J&J's response so far is not enough. We will find out how long J&J knew about these concerns and why it took so long to take action."

Comment: This example shows how haphazardly a product is tested and quality-controlled before hitting the market shelf in your neighborhood. J&J has a long history of selling health debilitating products to the public and they are still in business.

Joe Goode, a CVS spokesman, said in an email to The Post:

"CVS Pharmacy is cooperating with Johnson & Johnson's voluntary recall of certain Neutrogena and Aveeno sunscreen products. Out of an abundance of caution, we've also halted the sale of two products — CVS Health After Sun Aloe Vera and CVS Health After Sun Aloe Vera Spray and are working with our supplier to take appropriate additional steps."

Dr. Michael Yeadon, former Pfizer vice president, warns children are 50 times more likely to be killed by the covid vaccines than the virus itself.

"These covid vaccines are not safe," he told War Room, Wednesday.

"The gene based design makes your body manufacture virus spike protein, and we know and we've known for years that virus spike protein triggers blood clots," Yeadon explains. "That's a fundamental problem."

If there were any reasonable safety standard in place, the COVID injection campaign would have been halted in early January 2021. The reported rate of death from COVID-19 shots now exceeds the reported death rate of more than 70 vaccines combined over the past 30 years, and it's about 500 times deadlier than the seasonal flu vaccine,¹ which historically has been the most hazardous.

The COVID shots are also five times more dangerous than the pandemic H1N1 vaccine, which had a 25-per-million severe side effect rate.^2,3 In a June 24, 2021, peer-reviewed article⁴ in the medical journal Vaccines, titled, "The Safety of COVID-19 Vaccination — We Should Rethink the Policy," an international team of scientists warns that we're killing nearly as many with the shots as would die from COVID-19 itself.

To compare the risks and benefits, they calculated the number needed to vaccinate (NNTV) to prevent one COVID-19 death. The data came from a large Israeli field study and two adverse drug reactions databases, one with the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and one with the Dutch National Register.

Cases of influenza and other respiratory viruses sank dramatically during the pandemic, with potential implications for both people and pathogens.

During the annual flu season, many people experience the usual symptoms: a runny nose, sneezing, body aches, and fever. Flu can also be deadly. In the United States alone, influenza viruses cause hundreds of thousands of hospitalizations and tens of thousands of fatalities each year. During the pandemic, however, a drastic change occurred: there was a precipitous drop in infections with influenza and other respiratory viruses — and in some parts of the world, some of these pathogens are nowhere to be found.

"It's really dramatic how the flu disappeared this year," says Ellen Foxman, an immunologist at Yale University. At Yale-New Haven Hospital, where Foxman works, there were around 3,000 confirmed flu cases in the first three months of 2020, Foxman tells The Scientist. "This year, from the first of January until now, there's zero."

Comment: Whilst overall flu transmission was blocked by lockdowns, it's also likely that a number of genuine flu cases were wrongly attributed to coronavirus.

The study presented two such cases where the Covishield vaccine showed a temporal correlation and hence, most likely acted as a trigger for the development of AIH.

Even though a majority of adverse reactions of Covid vaccines have been mild events like fever and myalgia so far, a recent study claims that Covishield vaccine has more serious side-effects in the form of thromboembolic events and autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) in individuals.

The study, titled 'Auto-immune hepatitis following Covid vaccination', conducted by The Institute of Liver Disease and Transplantation, Dr Rela Institute and Medical Centre and Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai, and published in the journal Elsevier claimed that while AIH triggered by viruses has been well reported, AIH after vaccination, though described previously, is extremely rare.

The overall risk of children becoming severely ill or dying from Covid is extremely low, a new analysis of Covid infection data confirms.

Data from the first 12 months of the pandemic in England shows 25 under-18s died from Covid.

Those living with multiple chronic illnesses and neuro-disabilities were most at risk, though the overall risk remained low.

The conclusions are being considered by the UK's vaccine advisory group.

Comment: With no data to support the need to vaccinate children, why are governments the world over threatening to do so?
