'Strongest colors ever seen': Iridescent clouds make another spectacular appearance above skies in South Iceland

Spectacular iridescent clouds formed in the sky above South Iceland Friday morning. As the sun came up, the sky was filled with rainbow colors.

Mbl.is reporter Jónas Erlendsson took the photo above east of Vík í Mýrdal between the hours of 9 and 10 am Friday. He states these are the strongest-colored iridescent clouds he has ever seen.

Another photo, sent to mbl.is , was taken in Hornafjörður, Southeast Iceland the same morning. It appears Nature took out its palette and brushes to create the most beautiful sight.

Comment: Recent reports of iridescent clouds (also known as Nacreous or Polar Stratospheric Clouds) have included comments such as that from residents who have lived in the area for 70 years stating that they were "once in a lifetime" events. Taken together with the numerous other sights in our skies, and other Earth Changes phenomena, it's clear that there are great changes afoot on our planet:

Fatal shark attack near Esperance, Western Australia claims diver's life

A man has died after being attacked by a shark while diving off the coast of Esperance in Western Australia's south-east.

Police believe the man was diving from a boat in the area off West Beach when he was attacked.

"Esperance Police and Marine Rescue WA volunteers deployed to the area on board marine rescue vessels. They are still searching the ocean for the victim," police said a statement.

"A woman who was on board the boat at the time of the incident has been returned to shore, and has been taken by St John Ambulance to hospital. She is suffering from shock.

"Police Air Wing and specialist divers from Water Police are assisting with the search."

Local Glenn Quinlivan raced to the scene on boat after hearing the mayday call.

A magnitude 6.5 earthquake shook southern Mexico on Saturday night; the authorities were not immediately able to estimate the number of casualties or extent of damage.

The epicentre was located at a depth of 10 km, 38 km southeast of Union Hidalgo in the southern state of Oaxaca on the nation's Pacific coast, Mexico's Seismology Service reported in its Twitter account.

We've been hearing much fake news about the Australian bush fires supposedly having been caused by man-made climate change. Yet it has emerged that Australian authorities were warned years ago that poor land management practices were in fact escalating the risk of devastating fires, according to an expert.

"Forest fuel levels had climbed to their most dangerous level in thousands of years," wrote Darren Gray here in 2015. Today the public is being misled by climate alarmists and the media on the real causes of the devastating bush fires now taking place.

In fact NASA data shows that the area burned by global wildfires dropped by 25% since 2003, according to the Global Warming Policy Forum (GWPF)

One of the dead whales had been cordoned off.

The seven whales that survived a grounding at the Matarangi Spit have been shepherded out of the Matarangi Harbour by boats across the bar and out to sea.

A spokesperson from the Department of Conservation said the whales "were seen swimming strongly and being active and it's hoped they will remain at sea."

DOC staff are burying the four dead whales above the high tide mark at Matarangi together with local iwi who have worked closely with DOC staff in managing the stranding and refloat.

"We're asking people in the area to keep an eye out for the refloated whales possibly re-stranding in the next 24 hours or so. If people see any stranded whales please contact DOC's 24-hour number 0800 DOC HOT (0800 362 468)," the spokesperson said.

They also expressed thanks to everybody that has helped with the whales on the beach and in successfully refloating them this afternoon.

Lightning strikes had claimed 95 lives in Cambodia in 2019, down 14 percent from 110 deaths in a year earlier, a disaster control spokesman said on Thursday.

Besides the fatalities, thunderbolts injured 83 others during the January-December period last year, said Keo Vy, the spokesman for the National Committee for Disaster Management.

He attributed the decline to people's awareness of protecting themselves from being struck by lightning.

Athens-Lamia highway in Greece shuts down due to heavy snowfall

The Athens-Lamia Highway shut down completely for approximately five hours on Monday afternoon due to heavy snowfall.

The highway is the main artery which connects the city of Athens with Lamia and then continues all the way north up to Thessaloniki.

Police decided to shut the highway down near the Afidnes tollbooth in Attica, because of the extremely poor weather and road conditions which were prevailing in the area.

Summit Camp, also known as Summit Station, is a year-round research station on the apex of the Greenland Ice Sheet. It is located some 10,500 ft (3,200 m) above sea level, and it's data is often cited by climate alarmists claiming "Greenland Is Melting Away Before Our Very Eyes" and other such nonsense...

Adding to the list of temperature measurements those alarmists will likely ignore -or won't even get to hear about given the mainstream media's warm-bias- is Summit Camp's preliminary low of -86.8F (-66C) set at 11:13 PM on January 02, 2020.

The reading, once confirmed by the DMI, will enter the books as Greenland's coldest-ever recorded temperature-not only at Summit Camp, and not only in January, but of anywhere across the island, and of any month of the year.

Somehow, in what we're to believe is a linearly warming world, Greenland -the poster boy for global warming- is currently the coldest we've ever known it to be.

Severe weather including heavy rain and flooding has left 5 people dead in Cabo Delgado Province, Mozambique.

Local media, quoting officials from Instituto Nacional de Gestão de Calamidades (INGC), said that Cabo Delgado Province saw heavy rain and strong winds from around 26 December, 2019. As of 31 December, at least five people had died, 51 injured, 1,700 houses damaged and around 8,600 people affected. Schools were also damaged, affecting around 1,500 students.

Local TV reported that the Messalo, Megaruma and Montepuez rivers were all above flood alert, endangering over 60,000 people living close to the river banks.
