Climate models wrong on East Pacific... 'We don't know why this cooling is happening'

German online agriculture information site agrarheute.com here asks whether the climate models wrong since the East "East Pacific has been cooling down more and more over the past 30 years" and this "contrary to all predictions".

Modern agriculture knows that oceanic cycles have significant consequences for global agriculture.

No explanation for cooling

"Why does this part of the eastern Pacific contradict climate models, scientists ask, and they can't find a simple explanation," reports agriheute.com. The cooling of the East Pacific has defied the forecasts made by climate models, which predicted a warming due to "greenhouse gas" emissions.

The region of cooling is the ocean area that "stretches west of Ecuador" and "could reduce greenhouse gas warming by 30 percent". The false prediction by climate models risk misleading the agriculture industry, as it is known that ocean temperatures impact growing conditions around the world.

Nearly two dozen Indian troops missing after flash flood in Sikkim

mmmmm
Twenty-three Indian troops were reported missing on Wednesday after a flash flood caused by a cloudburst in the northeastern state of Sikkim, a defence spokesperson said.

The rain lashed a valley about 150 km (93 miles) north of Gangtok, the state capital, located along the border with China.

"Some army establishments along the valley have been affected and efforts are on to confirm details," said the spokesperson based in the city of Guwahati.

Rising water submerged some vehicles following the release of water from a dam, the spokesperson added.

Intermittent rain and thundershowers were hampering rescue operations in the area, an army official told Reuters, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Giant oarfish beaching leaves villagers in awe, sparks conservation concerns in Misamis Oriental, Philippines

A biologist says the country's scientific community should 'take a deeper look' at why the giant oarfish are surfacing from their natural habitats

A biologist says the country's scientific community should 'take a deeper look' at why the giant oarfish are surfacing from their natural habitats.
For almost a decade now, marine life conservationists have taken an interest in why beaching incidents of an ocean-deep serpent-like dweller, the giant oarfish (Regalecus glesne), have become more frequent in the coastal waters of at least eight countries worldwide, including the Philippines.

The giant oarfish, often called the "king of herrings," is a rare and enigmatic deep-sea species known for its immense size and distinctive appearance. They have ribbon-like bodies that can stretch more than 36 feet in length.

They are not well understood, and their behavior and biology remain largely mysterious. Their occasional appearances near the coastlines have led to various speculations and superstitions.

One of many dolphins found dead in the Amazon.
The bodies of the mammals were discovered last week in the waters of Lake Tefé, approximately 520 kilometers west of the city of Manaus, the Mamirauá Sustainable Development Institute informed on Friday, notes Agerpres.

The exact cause of death has not yet been determined. However, it is believed to be related to the current heat and drought, phenomena that have generated lake water temperatures of over 39 degrees Celsius.

Many rivers in the Amazon basin are carrying much less water than the average of recent years. The normal dry season is now exacerbated by the El Niño climate phenomenon.
