Thankfully, despite being scattered to the 4 corners of the island, floating off it on a boat, and in Haverfordwest collecting supplies, all the island staff managed to connect with it as the day wore on. I was even hugged by a certain Mr Stubbings!
A number of people living on the A26 Tonbridge Road near the Fountain Lane traffic light junction have told they could be out of their homes for weeks.
Maidstone council confirmed 10 homes have had to be vacated and currently four people are being housed in temporary accommodation.
The move comes after a sinkhole as deep as three meters and caused by a 240 sq meter void - just under the size than a tennis court - appeared in the middle of the road on Monday, May 28.
Houses running along the stretch of road are showing signs of damage as walls separating the property are cracked at the same place all along the terrace.
According to Miramar Fire officials, they received a call regarding an animal bite for a pediatric patient at a home located at 2420 Kingston Drive.
When fire officials arrived, it was determined their services were not needed. The child was not transported.
Miramar Police has confirmed that the child killed was an 8-month-old female.
The girl was in the care of her grandmother, police say.

There was so much hail Wednesday morning that a school bus got stuck on a residential street.
The Prairie South School Division thanked bus drivers for getting students to class safely.
The school board also expressed gratitude to people who helped clear a path for the vehicles through the hail, which was knee-deep in some places.
Around parts of the city culverts were blocked with the ice.
There are reports that more than 50 millimetres of precipitation fell during the brief storm.
The video, tweeted by the Libertyville Fire Department, shows young players watching in shock as the whirlwind kicks up a cone of dust high into the air.
The Saturday game continued after the dust devil died down.
"We had a slight tornado delay at the Libertyville Memorial Day Travel Baseball Tournament," the tweet said.
Storm Alberto - the first named storm of the Atlantic hurricane season - brought several mudslides to the region following heavy rainfall. The Lake Tahoma dam is now in "imminent danger" of failure, according to authorities who are warning residents in McDowell County to immediately move to higher ground.
The National Weather Service declared a flash flood emergency and is reiterating that this is "a life threatening situation." The weather agency is also warning that there is an increased risk of further mudslides.

The sinkhole, at Southwest 12th Street and Thornton Avenue on Des Moines' south side, was reported to the city of Des Moines on Saturday. It measures about 17 feet deep, and roughly the same across, said Des Moines Water Works Chief Operating Officer Ted Corrigan.
The hole has since been covered with a metal plate, but the 3600 block of Southwest 12th Street will remain closed except for local traffic until officials can repair the street, Corrigan said.

The canine suddenly pounces on the unsuspecting boy, knocking him to the ground and savaging at his face and head.
The boy's father, Lu Jungeng, ran over and immediately kicked the dog, causing it to stop its attack and run away.

It is likely that atmospheric dust loading from increased comet and volcanic activity is contributing to these 'intense' or 'freak' hailstorms, the cooling effect of which causes ice crystals to form.
