Two-headed deer: Hunter makes bizarre kill in Ballard County, Kentucky

A hunter's unbelievable two-headed catch has gone viral as people can't help but do a double take when they see the bizarre photos.

Bob Long had no idea he was stalking such a rare beast when he took aim in Ballard County, northern Kentucky, on Sunday. All he could see were a set of massive antlers.

It was only when he approached his kill that he realized just how unique it was. Long had shot a buck deer that appeared to have two heads with entwined antlers.

It turned out that the two-headed deer was not a newly discovered species or conjoined deer twins. It appears that the buck had been walking around with another deer's rotting carcass stuck to his head before he was shot.

Sinkhole opens in Greenville, SC.
A "massive sinkhole" opened Friday morning at a gas station in Greenville, South Carolina, police say.

A video posted by the Greenville Police Department shows the sinkhole police estimate to be 10 feet deep that exposed an underground gas line.

"Crews are here making sure pieces of overhanging concrete don't drop on the gas lines, which could open them up. As soon as the concrete is secured, at least one southbound lane will re-open on Haywood Road," the department said on Facebook

A S.C. Department of Transportation engineer told WYFF that he estimated the sinkhole to actually be about 20 feet deep and 50 feet long.

The first snowstorm of the season to hit the New York City area brought several inches of snow, slowing Thursday's evening commute to a crawl, after contributing to at least seven deaths as it swept across the country.

From St. Louis to the South and into the Northeast, snow, freezing rain, and in some parts, sleet, made driving tricky and closed schools Thursday.

In New York City, the wet snowfall and wind gusts Thursday downed numerous tree branches. Police advised people to stay indoors and avoid the roads
. Commuters also were advised to avoid the Port Authority Bus Terminal - which is also used by some to travel to New Jersey - due to overcrowding.

A rare pre-Thanksgiving snowstorm dumped more snow than expected in the area.
Mary DeMichael knew it was going to snow. But, listening to weather forecasts throughout the week, she believed only a few inches would fall.

The City of Poughkeepsie resident was expecting the first snowfall of the season would be "something nice," she said.

"It was so awful yesterday, I was slipping and sliding all over the place," she said. "I wasn't prepared for how much snow fell."

Few in the region were.

Dutchess residents spent Friday digging out from a storm that saw snow accumulations more than double expected totals. And though area municipalities say they were prepared to clear the roads, the intensity of the storm Thursday evening created brutal driving conditions for the commute.
