Minor tremors were felt in Kashmir Valley too.
No loss to life or property has been reported so far.

A vengeful deer attempted to enter a New Jersey woman's SUV after she struck the deer with the vehicle. The woman suffered a minor knee injury while kicking the deer away and police said the deer died due to injuries sustained in the crash.
The woman's bizarre encounter with the deer was caught on a Howell police officer's dash camera.
Howell police Patrolman Nicholas Austin was driving on Oak Glen Road around 8 p.m. on Sept. 17 when he saw a deer cross the road several hundred feet in front of him, Detective Sgt. Christian Antunez, a spokesman for the Howell Township Police Department, said in a statement.
Not sure if a 2008 GMC Envoy driving in front of him struck the deer, Austin pulled over behind the vehicle to assist the driver, Ellen Sager.
As Austin pulled up, he witnessed the same deer run back across the road and try to enter the SUV after Sager opened the driver's side door.

The Cameron Park Zoo is home to a recently donated two-headed baby rat snake a local zoo patron found and gifted to the zoo’s herpetarium.
A McLennan County resident discovered the 8-inch-long rat snake at her home within the past two weeks when her dog started chasing something under her front porch, said Brian Henley, an amphibian and reptile care supervisor at the zoo. After looking for what her dog was after, the woman saw the two-headed creature and called the zoo.
"Her dog found it, and it was probably just recently hatched. It's probably only about 6 to 8 weeks old now," Henley said. "She brought it in, and we were really surprised by it, because as long as I've been here, we've never had a two-headed animal at this zoo. This is pretty exciting for us."
Cameron Park Zoo unveiled the new addition to great fanfare this week with social media posts, spokeswoman Duane McGregor said. The zoo plans to determine the sex of the snake and host a naming contest on social media, presumably for two names, McGregor said.
"It's been very lively in Katla overnight, but the tremors are all shallow, and there hasn't been any eruption activity or glacial outburst flood activity, so those of us who are on call are relatively calm, since the situation effectively hasn't changed since yesterday," Sigurdís stated.
Katla volcano is located under the icecap of Mýrdalsjökull glacier. It last erupted in 1918, but has, on average, erupted twice a century.
The victim reported that she heard a noise in behind her residence and went to investigate. She encountered a medium sized black bear that then stood up and swiped at the victim.
She received several cuts to her right thigh that required 17 staples to close.
The Ministry was notified and will be taking steps to deal with the bear. Residents in the area are urged to use caution when outdoors and to report any sightings to the Police at 705-949-6300 and the Ministry at 1-888-514-2327.

A salt lake which is separated by a road, shows parts of it in different colours due to algae, in Yuncheng, Shanxi Province, China, September 25, 2016.
The ancient salt lake, which is 500 million years old and covers 120 square kilometers, isn't, in fact, a crime scene, but rather the natural result of algae in the water.
A rise in temperature and light intensity caused organisms called dunaliella salinas to recently turn red. While it certainly looks unusual, the phenomenon has been seen in France, the US, Turkey and more recently, Iran .
"In the marine environment, Dunaliella salina appears green," said Mohammad Tourian, a scientist at the University of Stuttgart, of Iran's Lake Urmia that suddenly turned deep red in July.
"However, in conditions of high salinity and light intensity, the micro-algae turns red due to the production of protective carotenoids in the cells."
Surf Life Saving WA, which yesterday cancelled a weekend carnival due to increased shark activity off Perth's metropolitan coast, urged beach users to exercise caution in the water until the carcass was removed.
Two sharks which had been captured and tagged were detected by the shark monitoring network off metropolitan beaches, including Leighton Beach, during the past few days.
The whale was discovered on the popular beach early this morning.
Wildlife officers are currently assessing options to remove the carcass.
One of the most active volcanoes in Central America, the Colima volcano has been erupting slowly since early September.
More than 300 people were ordered on Friday to evacuate from two villages in the foothills of Volcan de Fuego, the 3,839-meter mountain which towers over the states of Jalisco and Colima.
A timelapse taken from a webcam observing the peak shows its most recent fiery outburst, raining molten rock and ash on the surrounding area.

Jamaicans have been stocking up on supplies at supermarkets in advance of Hurricane Matthew's arrival
Weather forecasters have upgraded Hurricane Matthew to category five, the highest on the scale of intensity.
Jamaican PM Andrew Holness has called an urgent meeting of parliament to discuss hurricane preparedness.
The storm is expected to make landfall by Monday.
Jamaica's palm-lined southern coast is expected to be hit first. The capital, Kingston, is located in the area, as is the country's only oil refinery.
Officials have warned the high winds could also batter the island's main tourist areas including Montego Bay in the north.
"The government is on high alert," Mr Holness' director of communications, Robert Morgan, was quoted by Reuters as saying.
