SOTT Focus: Global Warming And The Corruption Of Science

Image
Global cooling, not global warming, is the reality
According to its official website, the Bilderberg group is composed of "leading citizens on both sides of the Atlantic" from the spheres of government and politics, finance, industry, labor, education and communications. Closely working together since 1954 to solve problems of critical importance, their ranks include high government officials, the royalty, media representatives, bankers and CEOs of corporate giants. Rather than 'leading citizens', they are better described as prominent members of the global elite. In congruence with this fact, their meetings are kept strictly private.

The manner in which this clique of the ruling class makes decisions affecting the rest of us is largely a mystery and as such has been target of speculation among alternative thinkers and writers. While it is unclear how high on the planet's hierarchy the group is, it is safe to say that their influence is considerable and they have access to raw data not necessarily shared with the population. For these reasons, it is significant that their last meeting was announced as follows:
"The 58th Bilderberg Meeting will be held in Sitges, Spain 3 - 6 June 2010. The Conference will deal mainly with Financial Reform, Security, Cyber Technology, Energy, Pakistan, Afghanistan, World Food Problem, Global Cooling, Social Networking, Medical Science, EU-US relations. Approximately 130 participants will attend of whom about two-thirds come from Europe and the balance from North America. About one-third is from government and politics, and two-thirds are from finance, industry, labor, education, and communications. The meeting is private in order to encourage frank and open discussion."
Specifically, the reference to Global Cooling - unlikely to be a simple mistake - appears to be an astonishing admission that the decades-long official discourse on climate is propaganda. (Indeed, at the time of writing, Polish and Russian forecasters are predicting the coldest European winter in 1,000 years.) Furthermore, it speaks of the contempt with which our leaders regard the masses, and reminds us of the level of corruption that has prevailed in the production of what now appears to have been a 'Global Warming' scam.

Bone-chilling snow hits South Korea, heaviest snowfall in 100 years

Image
The heaviest snowfall in 100 years has hit South Korea's east coastal areas, prompting the military to dispatch soldiers to the affected regions.

The bone-chilling snow, measuring one-meter high, buried some eastern cities, stranded hundreds of motorists on the roads and damaged many buildings.

Some 12,000 soldiers have started a rescue operation in the snow-stricken regions and remote areas to dig out the homes of people trapped in the snow.

Food and aid have been delivered to isolated villages while many flights have been cancelled. Officials say schools in the snowing parts will be closed for the time being.

More blizzards are forecast for Monday, putting municipal authorities on high alert to deal with further traffic chaos and property damage.

The snowstorm came after record-low temperatures, which caused the Han River in central Seoul to ice over for the first time in 26 years.

Earthquake Swarm Just Part of New Kilauea Activity

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park - Scientists at the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory on the Big Island of Hawaii are looking at a swarm of small earthquakes that shook Kilauea Volcano last week.

There were at least 42 earthquakes in the area within a 24 hour period that started Thursday. Geophysicists said while the temblors have diminished, they are another clue in what may come next at the world's most active volcano.

"Kilauea's summit has been extending, meaning that more magma is coming up to the summit than is going out to the east rift zone," said Jim Kauahikaua, the observatory's scientist in charge. That means there's move lava underground that's headed toward the actual Kilauea caldera, rather than the zone where most of the activity has been in the volcano's 28 year long eruption.

According to Kauahikaua, the extension of the crater has been going on for a few months.

"This extension of the summit is also reflected in the rise in lava in the Halemaumau vent," he said.

"All of them are indications that pressure is increasing in the magma chamber below the summit."

Hawaii: Ground collapse on Maui island big enough for car to fall in

Image
Heavy rains on Maui in the Waiehu area caused the ground to collapse, right next to a road's shoulder.

The huge hole is between Makaala Street and Wailupe Drive.

The sinkhole is 15 feet deep and up to 40 feet wide; it's big enough for a vehicle to fall into.

Sources say it's affecting drainage, fiber optics cables, and a sewer main.

State workers and county public officials will discuss repair efforts on Monday. Drivers are advised that authorities may close a lane along Waiehu Beach Road when repairs begin.

Cyclone Bingiza set to hit Madagascar

Image
Tropical Cyclone Bingiza east of northern Madagascar early on February 10
Madagascar is being lashed by heavy rains, and things are promising to get worse over the next few days.

Tropical Cyclone Bingiza is creeping ever closer. For the last few days it has been swirling a few hundred kilometers off-shore, with just the outer fringes of the storm thrown westwards towards the island. These outer bands have already brought a lot of rain, but the centre of the storm where the worst of the weather is, has not reached Madagascar yet.

Currently the eye of the storm has sustained winds of nearly 160kph, and gust of 195kph. This makes it the equivalent of a category 2 hurricane, but the storm is still expected to strengthen as it creeps slowly westwards.

The full force of Bingiza is expected to strike on Monday, near the town of Mananara Avaratra in the northeast. The town is home to over 30,000 people, with the majority relying on agriculature for their livelihood. A storm of this size will unleash damaging winds and flooding rains capable of tearing through the more rudimentary style of housing, as well as fields of crops.
