Flooding began in October after a period of heavy rain caused the Ubangi River to break its banks in parts of Sud-Ubangi and Nord-Ubangi provinces in DRC. Thousands of people were also displaced in neighbouring areas of Central Africa Republic during this time.
Austrian broadcaster ORF reported the men were skiing off marked tracks in the Otztal region Saturday.
They were caught in a snow slide, according to reports.

The avalanche warning service in Tyrole state had warned of the increased risk due to heavy snowfall on Friday.
Colder temperatures also allowed the resort to fire up snow machines for over 100 hours, blanketing the lower mountain with "snow whales," or large piles of snow used to maintain a thicker snowpack at lower elevations.
This is the second death in Rudraprayag district in the past 48 hours and the third death this week in Uttarakhand. It is also the sixth death due to leopard attack in Uttarakhand since October this year.
In Rudraprayag, both the victims were attacked by wild cat in Khakhra range. While, Sudha was mauled by the leopard barely 1.5 km away from Satni village on Friday, Sher Singh, 55, was attacked and killed in Satni village.
The frequent incidents of animal attacks have also irked the villagers and they have now demanded that the leopard be shot at the earliest.
They were displaced by high waters that inundated 155 barangays in 14 towns, said Rogelio Sending Jr., Cagayan information officer.
Strong rainfall brought by Severe Tropical Storm Quiel (internationally known as Nakri) triggered flooding and landslides that killed five people.
Four of the dead were residents of Barangay Imurung in Baggao town — Bagga Eljhay Dallego, 10; Augusto Jamon, 36; Jeremiah Saring, 14, and Ariel Agustin Versola, 32.

The cyclone packed winds of up to 120 kilometers per hour when it hit late Saturday, closing ports and airports in both countries.
Three people were killed in India's West Bengal State, two after uprooted trees fell on their homes and another after being struck by the falling branches of a tree in Kolkata. A fourth person died in a wall collapse in nearby Odisha State.
In Bangladesh, four more were killed by falling trees and at least 20 people were injured. The cyclone also damaged some 4,000 mostly mud and tin-built houses, Bangladesh's disaster management secretary Shah Kamal told AFP.
A Morski reader from the island of Lopud, one of the islands in question, recorded it and claims that it was the largest that has been seen there in recent years, and this one on the video is far from the only one.
The most snow, 18 inches, fell in Marquette, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Like Marquette, most of the dozen places were in the Upper Peninsula but Fife Lake, which is southeast of Traverse City, received 16 inches of snow.
The volcano, on the southernmost main island of Kyushu, spewed ash 5.5 km (3.4 miles) high, the first time the ash cloud from an eruption has exceeded 5 km since July 2016, Kyodo said, citing a local meteorological observatory.
The volcano has been highly active, erupting more than 100 times just this year, the report said, adding no damage has been reported so far.
