Inconsistent, grey Norwegian summer weather in recent weeks has not been limited to a single area of the country with a number of areas seeing their chilliest month of July for decades, news agency NTB reports.
Central county Trøndelag and South Norway alike will see continued cold, wet weather towards the end of the month.
"Cold weather from the west has resulted in colder temperatures and variable summer weather across large parts of South Norway in July," MET Norway meteorologist Rannveig Oftedal Eikill told NTB.
The largest death toll was recorded in the western province of Hodeidah, where 13 people died and more than 35 houses in three districts were destroyed.
Images on social media showed floods washing away houses, farms and cars in poor districts of Hodeidah. Flooding killed one person and ruined houses and farms in the province of Ibb, local media and residents said.
Heavy rains also hit the capital Sanaa, causing floods that affected many residential areas. "The damage in all affected areas is huge," Salem Al-Khanbashi, Yemen's deputy prime minister, told Arab News.

The carcass of the whale seemed to be two weeks old as per the knowledge of the local fishermen who were the first to notice it.
The disgusting stench of the carcass had spread to the whole neighbourhood causing nausea and other unpleasant situations.
Forest officials had inspected the scene and have no clue as to how the enormous marine mammal died and washed up on the beach. However, before the whale could be brought to shore for an examination to ascertain its death, the giant creature was washed back into the sea on Saturday.

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a very well-known greenhouse gas, along with Methane (CH4), which is also a very potent greenhouse gas. Greenhouse gasses trap the heat from the Sun in the Earth's atmosphere, increasing global temperatures as the trapped heat cannot escape the atmosphere.
The graphics below from the NASA GEOS-5 analysis data shows the CO2 total column mass concentration around the world for July 25th. The Northern Hemisphere is currently experiencing reduced CO2 concentrations compared to the rest of the world, due to the natural seasonal consumption.

The two largest grain exporters on planet earth look in bad shape. Agricultural output in the Ukraine fell by 19% during the first half of 2020, compared to the same period last year. And Russia hasn't fared much better.
Ukraine's Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture Taras Vysotsky blamed unfavorable weather conditions for 2020's dire harvest — as a result, grain prices in the nation with big "agrarian superpower" ambitions are on the rise.
A record cold and rainy May in the center and west of Ukraine, and drought in the south destroyed much of the grain, reports ria.ru. Added to that are the persistent June rains to the west which seriously delayed the harvest efforts.
Russia is also battling drought — up to 60% of the harvest has been lost in the south, and prices are on the rise their, too.
Associate Professor of the Timiryazev Agricultural Academy Igor Abakumov said that the last drought was 10 years ago, and with the phenomenon occurring at intervals of 3-7 years, Russia was "over the limit of favorable years".

Another child, two years of age, from Bac Quang District, drowned amid the floods.
