Ontario's first official tornadoes of the year cut a path straight through the London area on Wednesday evening.

A dark funnel cloud outside Glencoe, Ont. was captured on video. It shows the storm swirling and throwing up dust. It downed power lines, felled trees and damaged buildings.

Less than an hour later, at about a quarter to nine, a tornado touched down in Thames Centre.

Environment Canada has confirmed two tornadoes touched down as a line of severe thunderstorms moved through the area, leaving thousands without power for hours.

Tornado warnings had been issued for both areas as the evening went on.

More than 250 businesses and residences were flooded in a sudden downpour in Turkey's capital Ankara, causing devastating damage and heavy financial losses, authorities said Friday.

According to a statement by the Metropolitan Municipality of Ankara, more than 1,500 calls were made to emergency services to report floods across the capital, with some parts of the city seeing as much as 30 centimeters per square meter of rain.

Massive plasma discharge over Washington D.C leaving an air glow for a fraction of a second. If the glowing air lasted for seconds or minutes ancient peoples would have left petroglyphs of the event, I found several. Also these same sets of carvings show a micronova from our Sun with Squatter Man, so are we witnessing another repeat of ancient events over the USA Capital?

Cars swept away, streets flooded with sewage as Corsica hit by flash floods

After a reportedly calm morning, the Corsican capital of Ajaccio was throttled by 103mm (four inches) of rain in just two hours, triggering flash flooding across the city, wreaking havoc on residents and businesses alike.

Intense thunderstorms localized over Ajaccio at around 11:30am local time on Thursday. The flooding began with an initial shower which dropped 40mm (1.5 inches) of rain in half an hour.

The storm then gathered pace as it continued into the afternoon and, after drainage systems were overwhelmed, city workers scrambled to replace burst sewer drain covers.

As eyewitness footage from the scene shows, cars and dumpsters were tossed around like toys by the flood waters.

Pickle Lake saw a rare heavy dumping of June snow on Thursday and is currently without power.

Snowplows travelling up and down the street and green trees covered in white isn't something you want to wake up to on a June morning, but that's just what greeted several communities in Northwestern Ontario.

Parts of Northwestern Ontario received a rare dumping of June snow, with Pickle Lake seeing as much as 10 centimetres with snow still falling Thursday morning.

"It's not really a great feeling when everyone was wearing shorts a week ago and it was beautiful 20 degree weather and fishing and then looking outside and wondering if we should fire up the skidoo or take the car to work," said Jamie Hussey, clerk treasurer with the municipality of Pickle Lake.

Several trees are down in certain areas due to the heavy wet snow and the municipality is experiencing a power outage town wide due to some trees that are suspected to have fallen on power lines.

Why does Delhi keep getting hit by frequent earthquakes?

On Monday afternoon, the capital city of India witnessed yet another low-intensity earthquake. The National Center for Seismology revealed the epicentre of the earthquake was near Gurgaon, Haryana, and its depth was recorded to be 19 km with a magnitude of 2.1. Mild tremors were reportedly felt in Delhi, Noida, and the surrounding areas for a few seconds.

Just a week ago, on June 3, Delhi NCR had witnessed another earthquake of magnitude 3.2 on the Richter scale, which struck 19 km southeast of Noida. Further back, on May 29, an earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale jolted the NCR.

Since April 2020, New Delhi and nearby areas have recorded more than 14 earthquakes. According to the National Center for Seismology, all these earthquakes fell into the range of low to medium, as their magnitude was less than five.

This phenomenon, involving a collection of related earthquakes focused on a particular area for a limited period, is called 'swarm' activity. The swarm activity may or may not have an apparent triggering event behind it: say a large earthquake or a huge landslide.

A storm followed by thunderstorms hit Belgrade on two occasions tonight. A large amount of rain fell and the streets of the capital ended up flooded

Citizens shared the footage on social networks in disbelief. As can be seen in the footage, the cars literally floated in some parts of Belgrade.

Due to the large amount of precipitation, tram and trolley-bus traffic are at a standstill, and movement by public transport is difficult because the buses are overloaded.

The Belgrade bus station is also under water, so the buses could not reach the platform, "Novosti" states.
