"It rattled the dishes pretty good," said Marie Westphal, co-owner of Sir Scott's Oasis Steakhouse in Manhattan. "Nobody hurt, no damage or anything like that, but it was like, 'Holy cow, that was a pretty good jolt.'"

Westphal guessed that the quake lasted five to 10 seconds.

In June authorities temporarily closed three Costa Blanca beaches in Spain's Benidorm resort after several people were stung by Portuguese Men O'War, although the stings were reportedly "minor".

Three Costa Blanca beaches in Spain had to be closed down by authorities after a mystery fish bit two young children, reported the Express.

The first incident was at the El Pinet beach in Elche, south of Alicante, when a seven-year-old emerged from the water with three severe bite wounds to his foot around 5.30pm on Friday.

Just half an hour later a similar incident was reported on the same beach. A 10-year-old child was reportedly bitten by a similar fish. The nationalities of the two children who needed medical treatment have not been revealed.

As explained by producer Gianni Biguzzi "the event didn't last long but stones were as big as cherries. We still haven't fully assessed the damaged, but cracks are visible on Gea nectarines."

The Rimini area faced much worse, as hailstones that exceeded 5 cm fell in Bellaria - Igea Marina, San Mauro Pascoli, an area where there are a lot of vegetable crops.

40-ft-long whale washes ashore in Palghar, India - 10th for Mumbai district in 3 years

dead whale
A highly decomposed carcass of a 40ft whale washed ashore in Palghar on Wednesday. It was first noticed by locals around 8am, roughly 100 meters off Mahim beach's waterline, where a stench hung in the air. This is the tenth recorded incident of a dead whale washing ashore in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and nearby areas in the last three years.

Forest officials said the carcass got stuck in sand in the inter-tidal zone during high tide. "It could be of a baleen whale, though the species cannot be immediately ascertained because of decomposition," said forest officer Ruchita Sankhe.

No evidence of man-made climate change, says new Finnish study

A new study conducted by a Finnish research team has found little evidence to support the idea of man-made climate change. The results of the study were soon corroborated by researchers in Japan.

In a paper published late last month, entitled 'No experimental evidence for the significant anthropogenic climate change', a team of scientists at Turku University in Finland determined that current climate models fail to take into account the effects of cloud coverage on global temperatures, causing them to overestimate the impact of human-generated greenhouse gasses.

Models used by official bodies such as the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) "cannot compute correctly the natural component included in the observed global temperature," the study said, adding that "a strong negative feedback of the clouds is missing" in the models.

Adjusting for the cloud coverage factor and accounting for greenhouse gas emissions, the researchers found that mankind is simply not having much of an effect on the Earth's temperature.

Comment: Policymakers will forge ahead with this massive lie despite numerous and credible evidence that man-made global warming is bunk.
