Zelensky: Don't forget Ukrainian Jewish role in the dispossession of Palestine

Zelensky

Broadcast in Tel Aviv
The Ukrainian president should be reminded that the Palestinians are the people Ukrainian Jewish colonists displaced and whose land they stole...

A few days ago, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the Knesset asking that Israel stand with Ukraine against the Russian invasion of his country. He cited the Ukrainian Jewish colonist Golda Mabovitch (later Golda Meir), Israel's former prime minister, who denied that the Palestinian people ever existed. Zelensky spoke of how Ukraine finds itself today in the same situation as Israel, namely that both countries seem to have horrible neighbours who "want to see us dead".

Indeed, Israel has been most concerned about Ukrainian Jews, even before the Russian intervention began.

As early as January 2022, Israel began planning to transfer Ukrainian Jews to become colonists in the land of the Palestinians. Israel's Ministry of Aliyah and Immigrant Absorption proclaimed: "We call on the Jews of Ukraine to immigrate to Israel - your home."

Our elites need to recognize that America's 'unipolar moment' is over

Writing in the current Washington Examiner, Anne Pierce suggests that the United States is today confronted by a new "Axis of Evil" composed of Russia, China, and Iran, which poses an existential threat to U.S. security. Pierce contends that American policymakers mistakenly pivoted to Asia when their focus should have been Russia and Europe. She calls on the Biden administration to wage economic warfare against Russia while providing Ukraine with whatever military material its leaders request, and to catalog Russian atrocities "with the aim of prosecuting Russia for war crimes." To refuse to do this, she writes, would be a "moral, strategic, and military failure of historic proportions."

One could be forgiven for thinking that Pierce, who is the author of A Perilous Path: The Misguided Foreign Policy of Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and John Kerry, believes that we are still operating in America's "unipolar moment." Her article suggests that the United States could and should confront Russia, China and Iran simultaneously and that Russia currently poses the greatest threat to our security. And while she is right to call Russia, China, and Iran an Axis of Evil, her article exhibits no sense of the limits of America's power; no recognition that perhaps our resources would be spread too thin by failing to prioritize threats among these three adversaries; no realization that America's unipolar moment is over.

Extreme weather is NOTHING new: Victorian rainfall data reveals driest year on record was 1855, widespread flooding in 1852

Victorian weather rainfall
The project digitally transcribed 130 years' worth of handwritten Victorian rainfall observations made at rainfall gauges from across the UK and Ireland. Pictured, observations being taken at rain gauges in Seathwaite in the Lake District in 1895
Heavy rainfall may be associated with flash floods and the modern-day battle against climate change.

But a new study led by the Met Office and the University of Reading shows it's nothing new - in fact, newly recovered data from the Victorian era has 'smashed' current rainfall records.

Millions of archived rainfall records dating back nearly 200 years have been 'rescued' by thousands of volunteers during Covid lockdown, as part of the 'Rainfall Rescue' project.

Comment: Data from all areas of expertise show that climate is cyclical and fluctuates between periods of more mild weather into periods extremes, and back again, and it's only in recent times that the establishment have tried to convince us otherwise: Also check out SOTT radio's:

The road to Ukraine started with 1999's Kosovo War

NATO Serbia
The remains of a building that was bombed by NATO in 1999 in Belgrade, Serbia.
Pretty much everyone who has spent the past month moralizing about the sanctity of borders, sovereignty of countries, and how unacceptable it was for great powers to "bully" smaller neighbors - thinking of Russia and Ukraine - paused on Thursday to sing praises to a woman that championed all of those things back in 1999. Except since it was NATO doing them to Yugoslavia, Madeleine Albright was a hero and an icon, obviously.

On March 24, 1999, NATO launched an air war against Serbia and Montenegro, then known as the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. The publicly stated aim of Operation Allied Force was to compel Belgrade to accept the ultimatum given at the French chateau of Rambouillet the month before: Hand the province of Kosovo over to NATO "peacekeepers" and allow ethnic Albanian separatists to declare independence.

British intelligence operative's involvement in Ukraine crisis signals false flag attacks ahead

Shadowy UK intel figure Hamish de Bretton-Gordon was at the forefront of chemical weapons deceptions in Syria. Now in Ukraine, he's up to his old tricks again.

With Washington and its NATO allies forced to watch from the sidelines as Russia's military advances across Eastern Ukraine and encircles Kiev, US and British officials have resorted to a troubling tactic that could trigger a massive escalation. Following similar claims by his Secretary of State and ambassador the United Nations, US President Joseph Biden has declared that Russia will pay a "severe price" if it uses chemical weapons in Ukraine.

The warnings emanating from the Biden administration contain chilling echoes of those issued by the administration of President Barack Obama throughout the US-led dirty war on Syria.

NATO bombing of Serbia: Tragedy in three acts

It is a travesty of international justice that the 1999 bombing remains unrecognized by the perpetrators and unpunished

Twenty-three years ago, NATO bombed Serbia. This act was the opening round of what was to become a 78-day illegal war of aggression, the repercussions of which haunt the world to this day.

Act One: The Encounter

It was a chance meeting - two men who had crossed paths in Iraq two years past, now running into each other on a stretch of highway connecting Kosovo to Macedonia. The date was March 20, 1999. Monitors assigned to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Kosovo Verification Mission (KVM) were in the process of being withdrawn from their assigned areas of responsibility to the town of Ohrid, in Macedonia, due to the collapse of diplomatic talks with Serbia about the devolving situation in the Serbian autonomous province of Kosovo, where Albanian separatists were engaged in a quasi-civil war with the Serbian authorities.

The British contingent of the KVM was stopped at the border between Kosovo and Macedonia, awaiting final clearance to cross the border. Among the British observers was a former Royal Marine officer who had previously served with the United Nations Special Commission (UNSCOM) in Iraq, helping oversee the dismantling of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction programs. While he and his fellow observers waited, he watched as other vehicles driven by members of the US observer contingent drove in the opposite direction - into Kosovo. At the wheel of one of these vehicles was a familiar face - a man who was known as 'Kurtz'.

Comment: The story that Iraq had WMD was a total lie. It was just an excuse to invade and destroy the country.

Ice-free corridor from Beringia to Great Plains existed 13,800 years ago, dating of boulders shows

An international team of researchers has found evidence that suggests the Ice-Free Corridor (IFC) proposed to have existed between ice sheets along a route from Beringia to the Great Plains came to exist approximately 13,800 years ago. In their paper published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, the group describes using cosmogenic nuclide surface exposure dating to date boulders left behind by the ice sheets that once covered the IFC, and their conclusion that early travelers likely came by boat.

12,000 year old Amazon rock art may depict extinct Ice Age animals, new study shows

A masterpiece of prehistoric rock art from the Amazon, hailed by some as "the Sistine Chapel of the ancients," may depict extinct Ice Age mammals, offering a fascinating snapshot of doomed species and their brief coexistence with humankind.

The eight-mile Cerro Azul rock art mural at Serranía de la Lindosa in Colombia's Guaviare region, on the banks of the Guayabero River, has been the subject of recent expeditions led by José Iriarte, an archaeologist at the University of Exeter. Now, the ocher paintings have become the subject of debate, as experts attempt to definitively date them and identify the animals.

It's possible that the stunning artworks are up to 12,000 years old, and show Ice Age megafauna, as argued by a study published this week in the journal Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society B. (Archaeologists first began studying the paintings in 2016, after a peace treaty brought stability to the region after years of civil war, and published their initial findings in late 2020).

Israel lobby group ADL rehabilitates Hitler's accomplices in Ukraine

Kiev, Ukraine • 1 January, 2022
Israel and its lobby depend on support from the United States. So when Washington goes to war, the lobby will often lend its propaganda services to the cause. The Anti-Defamation League, one of Israel's top US lobby groups, is doing so now by rehabilitating Ukrainian collaborators who helped Hitler exterminate Jews and Poles.

This Holocaust revisionism is motivated by the need to whitewash the present-day, far-right Ukrainian nationalists and neo-Nazis who are supported by the United States. The reason the US, NATO and the European Union say they are sending weapons and mercenaries to Ukraine is to help a fellow democracy defend its independence and sovereignty against an illegal invasion by an expansionist, megalomaniacal madman.

It is therefore very awkward from a Western perspective that the Ukrainian regime is underpinned by hard-right fascists and neo-Nazis.

Acknowledging this fact, Western war propagandists undoubtedly fear, would legitimize President Vladimir Putin's claim that the Russian invasion - which has been overwhelmingly condemned by the UN General Assembly - is justified by a need to "de-Nazify" and demilitarize Ukraine.

Fires rage in Canada as professor attacks the Myth of Holodomor

Freeland

University of Alberta Assistant Professor Dougal MacDonald raised hell on November 20, 2019 by writing in a personal Facebook post that the 1932-33 genocide of Ukrainians referred to as Holodomor was a "myth fabricated by Hitlerites".

Comment: Holodomor is a term derived from the Ukrainian words for hunger (holod) and extermination (mor).

If such remarks were made in most nations today, it wouldn't be such a big deal (as only 16 nations have chosen to recognize this event as an act of genocide rather than the tragic act of nature which MacDonald and countless eminent scholars maintain.)

Canada is not however "most nations", but has rather had the misfortune of hosting some of the most virulent groups of rabid ultra-right wing Ukrainian fascists who were transplanted into the Prairies and west coast by Anglo-American intelligence networks in the wake of WWII.

Today, many of these 2nd and 3rd generation Banderites control powerful institutions like the Ukrainian Congress of Canada (UCC) and have bred such confused and dangerous ideologues as Canada's own Deputy Prime Minister (and leading Rhodes Scholar) Chrystia Freeland who sees no shame in her grandfather's leading role as a Nazi collaborator in WW2 or in holding up right wing flags associated with the fascist Organization for Ukrainian Nationalists at a recent rally in Toronto.

Comment: The fact is, the famine was real, and not limited to Ukraine - though in Ukraine, it was ethnic Ukrainian communists who played the lead role in collectivization and grain confiscations.
