Hollywood actress Uma Thurman blasted Harvey Weinstein, who has been accused by numerous women of rape and sexual assault, saying that she is glad that the revelations about his alleged crimes are pouring in slowly and painfully.

In her Instagram post, Thurman wished her followers a happy Thanksgiving, but also used the opportunity to take a swing at Harvey Weinstein, expressing joy that the that the sexual harassment scandal has not ended quickly for the media mogul.
"Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! (Except you Harvey, and all your wicked conspirators - I'm glad it's going slowly - you don't deserve a bullet)," Thurman wrote.
Thurman previously worked with Weinstein on such movies as Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill.

Earlier this month, the actress told Access Hollywood that she first wanted to calm down before speaking out against Weinstein or sharing her story.

"I don't have a tidy soundbite for you, because I am not a child and I have learned that when I have spoken in anger, I usually regret the way I express myself," she said.

Italian police rescued a woman who had been held in an underground cellar and repeatedly raped and tortured for 10 years. She gave birth to two children from her abuser, who chained her to a bed and even forced her son to attack her.

Police found the victim, along with her two children, a three-year-old girl and nine-year-old boy, near the town of Gizzeria, southern Italy, the authorities said in a statement on Wednesday.

The Romanian woman, whose name hasn't been released, was 19 when she arrived in Italy to take care of an elderly lady, La Repubblica newspaper reported. However, when the lady died, her son began to abuse the Romanian care worker.

For 10 long years the victim was kept in several apartments before being moved to an underground cellar in a building near Gizzeria. Her bed was made of cardboard boxes and instead of a toilet she had a garbage bin. The dirty cellar was also reportedly infested with vermin. To prevent the woman from fleeing, the captor, a man in his 50s, secured the door with a large chain.

Families of crewmembers aboard the Argentinian submarine ARA 'San Juan' have reportedly been told there is no chance that 44 sailors on the ill-fated vessel are alive. The news comes after a violent underwater explosion was reported in the search area.

The submariners' families were beginning to receive the grim update on Friday morning, according to media reports. Itati Leguizamon, whose husband German Suarez was aboard the 'San Juan,' told ABC News that families had been told their loved ones were dead.

Leguizamon also said relatives of the crew, camped at Mar de Plata naval base, voiced cries of anguish and calls for military commanders to be held to account. She said the authorities "attacked" a person who was reading out a report that "the Austrian team had detected a strong explosion" near the missing sub, according to Ruptly video agency.

A South African court has increased Olympic athlete Oscar Pistorius's jail sentence for killing his girlfriend to 13 years and five months.

Prosecutors had argued that the six-year term for murdering Reeva Steenkamp was "shockingly light".

Ms Steenkamp's parents were "emotional" as they watched the ruling at home on TV, a spokeswoman said.

"They feel there has been justice for Reeva. She can now rest in peace," Tania Koen told Associated Press.

Two birds, one stone: Sweden turns to cohousing to accommodate migrants, seniors

Amid rampant housing shortages, Sweden has decided to place newly-arrived migrants in a retirement home as part of a trial project. Although temporary, this measure has been hailed as promoting integration and is said to have received overwhelmingly positive reactions.

Ekerö Municipality in Stockholm County has found a resourceful solution to the housing shortage for its new arrivals: Söderströmsgården retirement home. In addition to alleviating the acute housing shortage, this move is said to promote the new arrivals' social interaction.

Now, immigrants and senior citizens will be placed under the same roof, as Söderströmsgården currently has unused living space in two wings aimed for future expansion.

"In the current situation when we have a dramatic shortage of housing for our new arrivals, we are giving them a few spare rooms," regional integration manager Anders Angarius told the news outlet Stockholm Direkt.

Miguel Angel Lopez-Abrego has been charged with first-degree murder
A man murdered earlier this year by the MS-13 street gang was stabbed more than 100 times, decapitated and had his heart torn out of his chest and buried with him, Maryland authorities said Wednesday.

Montgomery County Police said one of the alleged killers, 19-year-old Miguel Angel Lopez-Abrego, was arrested Nov. 11 in North Carolina. Lopez-Abrego, known as "Timido," has been charged with first-degree murder and was ordered held without bond after his first court appearance.

According to court documents, which cited interviews with a gang informant, up to ten MS-13 members planned to lure the victim to the Silver Spring park where he was killed sometime this past spring.

The documents allege that Lopez-Abrego helped dig the grave where the victim was found, and also used a walkie-talkie to alert the other gang members to the victim's arrival. The informant also claimed Lopez-Abrego was the first to attack the victim, stabbing him with a 15-inch knife.

45 Harrisburg, Pennsylvania teachers resign due to 'horrible, violent children'

The age of entitlement continues to thrive and fester. Harrisburg, Pennsylvania teachers are now at a standoff with school district administrators after leaving their posts. The teachers claim that excessively violent behavior, including physical violence, has forced the teachers to resign. The total number of teachers to walk from their positions is 45. Worse more, the teachers' claims are being levied against children as young as first grade.

The Harrisburg Education Association announced that the teachers' resignations began in July and have continued through October, prompting school officials to seek an urgent resolution over the matter.

Some of the accounts by teachers are disturbing. Teacher Amanda Sheaffer told Fox43 that she's been physically assaulted more than once.

"I have been hit, I have been kicked, I have been restrained from behind where I've been unable to move my arms," she said. "It really throws off the whole day. I mean, you have an incident happen and you have to do a room clear, get all the students out, and then after that you have to take the time to do the write-up, and you have to make sure security comes and gets the kids."

Another dead doctor: Founder of autism nonprofit discovered dead in canal

Jeana Beck, founder of Unlocking Autism
We regret to report to you that a well-known advocate for autistic people - Jeana Beck - died approximately November 17th near an Oregon hotel room where she had been staying.

Beck was the founder of Unlocking Autism and was traveling with her 23-year-old autistic son for a work trip and staying at Rodeway Inn. She reportedly went outside for a smoke break and never returned. She was reported missing. Tragically, her body was found the next night in a canal behind the hotel.

Strangely, police almost immediately ruled out foul play, according to health writer Erin Elizabeth of Healthnut News who has delved deep into the strange string of deaths that has rocked the alternative health community in the last year or so. We have touched on some of those stories on dead doctors but apparently the number has reached above 70 in less than a two-year period.

Elizabeth notes another strange twist - Beck was a supporter of Age of Autism, whose editor Dan Olmstead also died in an alleged suicide early this year.

Comment: Has this quick investigation done its job? Erin Elizabeth doesn't think so.
